Chapter 22 [1/3]
Tzuyu watched as the blonde-haired boy- Momo -danced around with Kei. She curled lips up in a knowing smile when she noticed the ex-couple was stealing glances at each other. But then she pressed lips together, wondering how lovely it would be if they had each other as partner. Her partner turned to her and after offering small smile she looked back at the dancing pairings.
"Soon the puppy will turn into a cat."
Tzuyu turned around at the voice. Her breath couldn't make its way out for a moment as she saw Sana in dress. Sparkling jewels and beads swirled across silver sheer midriff, and long white tulle skirt completed the beautiful dress. The president girl looked stunning with the dress and her curly brown hair fell over shoulders.
"Like the view?" Sana teased Xiumin. She gave a quick wink, holding back her satisfied grin.
Tzuyu quickly moved gaze up, clearing her throat, embarrassed. She glanced at her partner and was relieved that the girl didn't see it. She then finally noticed the other boy. "Ma..Mark," It was rather a question in surprise than a greeting.
"Hi, Xiumin."
Tzuyu gave small bow as a reply. She accidently cast gaze down and saw Sana's hand on Mark's arm.
"So, are you ready boys?" Sana asked.
The question finally could release Tzuyu from her disappointment. 'Why did I feel disappointed? We're just friends' she told herself. She inhaled, giving a nod.
Jungyeon and Nayeon who stood beside them nodded as well. They then turned to look at the dancing pairings.
'It will soon begin'
---------
A week before Ball
"What should I wear for the ball?" Sana patted her chin as they walked toward stairs.
"You can wear any dress, you'll look beautiful."
"Really?" Sana asked, grinning. "You're really sweet Mark, thanks."
"Welcome," Mark replied, smiling sheepishly. He looked aside, halting as three boys walked toward them.
Sana followed Mark's gaze and saw their juniors. "Hi boys, what are you doing here?"
Momo gave a smile, greeting back. She glanced at Tzuyu and Jungyeon and they gave a nod to encourage her. "There is something we want to talk. We need your help."
"My help?" Sana knitted her brows for moment before smiling widely, nodding.
Momo ran tongue over her lower lip, waiting for Sana's reaction. They were inside a classroom. She had told Sana everything about their secret, the reason they entered Academy also threaten from Kei.
Momo glanced at her best friends before looking back at the still staring down president girl. "Sana-ssi," she called. The girl finally lifted her gaze. But the next second she let out a cry of pain. "Ouch!"
Tzuyu and Jungyeon also cried in pain.
"What was that?" Tzuyu asked while rubbing her forehead where Sana had flicked with fingers.
Sana folded arms. "I've been waiting for you to come and tell me, and for dear God's sake, you just tell me now."
"You don't…I mean…" Tzuyu trailed off. She cast gaze down; couldn't look at the girl's eyes. "I'm…"
"A girl, all of you," Sana said, completing the sentence. "I have known it for some time actually." Xiumin's eyes widened. "At street dance," she said, tilting head aside, giving small smile.
At the smile Tzuyu once again lowered her head. It was a disappointed smile. Sana had known about her identity and waited for her to tell the truth, but she chose to avoid the girl instead. Jungyeon was right that she was a coward. It made her envy Momo a little to be brave and trust Mina.
"Now back to the problem," Sana said, looking back at the three girls in boy clothes. "You said Kei threatened to ruin Mina reputation." Haru nodded. "I've sensed something when Mina told me about your break up. So, this little bitch caused all of this."
Mark pressed lips together at Sana's choice of word. He knew well the friendship between Sana and Mina. "What are we gonna do now? We can't let Kei," he said, giving light pat on Haru's shoulder.
"Actually we'd had a talk with Principal kahi," Momo said.
Sana raised an eyebrow. "Why don't you fill me in now, and perhaps we can think something out."
Momo glanced at Jungyeon and Tzuyu before returning gaze back to their seniors. "Principal kahi agreed we reveal our identity, and stay at Academy."
"If there's no objection from other students," Jungyeon added.
"That's a relief," Sana said. "Because actually I have thought the same thing." She crossed legs. "My gut's telling me that, that Kei, she would do anything but reveal your identity." The four boys- real and disguised -frowned and she added. "Because she needs your secret. She needs something against Mina."
"I won't bring Mina into this. This is our problem, after all I'd asked her to keep it secret," Momo said.
Sana nodded. "The real problem here is, Krystal." She ran a hand through hair, sighing. "I know that girl, Miss Perfect in everything. She would have another student meeting to discuss about your disguising thing, trust me. And we can't let that happen, because School of Theatre students will follow her."
"We need more than seventy percent vote," Mark added. "How about we talk to her? To help us."
Momo, Tzuyu and Jungyeon nodded in agreement.
Sana leaned back against chair, folding arms. "Looks like that's the only choice we have," she said. She pulled a corner of lips up. "I know how to convince Miss Perfect."
After the meeting Mark headed back to dorm first. Sana left classroom, pulling phone out.
"Sana wait,"
Sana halted, turning around. She put phone back into pocket. "Hey, what's up?"
"No, I just, uh," Tzuyu said and then blew out a breath.
"You just?"
Tzuyu gathered her courage. "Actually, there's something I want to talk, ask." She blushed slightly as the girl giggled.
"And what is it?"
"About…ball, next Friday ball," Tzuyu said nervously.
"Oh, yeah the ball. Did you get partner already?" Sana asked. "You have fans wanting to become your partner, I bet."
"No, I won't go with them," Tzuyu replied. When the girl gave skeptical look, she chuckled. "Actually, I…"
"I can't wait to come with my partner," Sana said, holding gaze at the boy-clad girl.
It was something Tzuyu didn't expect to hear at moment. "Oh, you have partner already? That's…great, I mean really great," she said. She shoved hands into pants pocket, offering smile, burying the untold feeling inside. "I can't wait either."
"Okay, must get going now," Sana said. She gave small wave, turning on heel.
'She's the famous president girl of course she has a partner. What are you thinking Tzuyu?' She could only stare at Sana's back, letting out a heavy sigh. She was startled when Momo and Jungyeon showed up beside her.
"You okay?" Momo asked.
Tzuyu forced a bright smile, although it didn't reach her eyes. "Perfectly. How about you?" She rubbed Momo's back. "Don't worry. We'll always be together."
"Thanks," Momo said gratefully.
"Through the years we all will be together," Jungyeon said with solemn voice, a finger up, nodding.
"Just want to remind, we just meet for a year, precisely half of year," Tzuyu said pointedly.
Jungyeon puffed cheeks out. "Can you let me feel the feeling being a poet just for once? I know I'm not a songwriter like someone here."
"I didn't say anything," Momo returned defensively but then laughed with Tzuyu at the pouting Jungyeon.

Night before Ball
Krystal couldn't help raising an eyebrow. She was inside music classroom at School of Music building. She was heading dorm when suddenly four boys, Mina's boys showed up dragging her, or precisely kidnapping her. She would have read Shakespeare's Sonnets in her room at moment, warmly cuddling under blanket. She put hands on waist, looking down at two girls kneeling in front of her. "You don't actually think can convince me with that, do you? Your acting skill is really poor."
"Hey, no need to be rude," Sana said, turning to the other girl beside her. "See, it didn't work, I told you."
"But you said she's easily moved to tear," Jungyeon replied. She caught eye drop bottle from Sana and wiped tear from cheeks.
Momo and Tzuyu were trying to hold back from laughing.
"I had bad feeling about these two actually," Momo whispered to Tzuyu.
"Don't let them do planning together again," Tzuyu chimed in. They Stifler a chuckle. Krystal's voice brought their attention back to the girl.
"I'm not sentimental person," Kryatal said.
"Oh yes dear, you are," Sana said, wiping her fake tears, rising to feet. The girl opened her mouth to argue but she added. "I caught you crying over those romantic books before." She kept on smiling as the girl moved gaze away in annoyance, and embarrassment.
"Now, can I have the real reason why I was very politely called here?" Krystal asked.
Sana just smile at the sarcasm hid underneath comment. She then turned to the boys. "Haru,"
Momo took a step forward. "I know what we did is hardly forgivable, but we didn't have any choice by then," she said. "Learn might not be the first reason, honestly, but then, we got more than we would have ever wished." She pursed her lips, steadying gaze. "We want to learn, to study here. Please help us."
Krystal held gaze on the disguised girl in front of her who was looking back with steady gaze but she could see the uncertainty.
