❥ The Night Before Everything ❥
This was a day James was dreading. A whole night without Cain in his arms. Without Cain's warmth and kind smiles. No excuses to try and get Cain to stay laying down beside him, no goodnights... unless it was over the phone. No kisses, no cuddles, no smiles, no hugs, no i love you's goodnight, no nothing. James had made sure that he had packed everything, he had all his belongings he would need in his back, he had his suit hung up on the doorframe so he could grab it, he had his bag packed with everything like his vows, some sweets, and a lot of wine. Sure James was very very excited for tomorrow, in fact James was worried that Cain was right and that he was going to die young, whenever he thought about the next day his heart began to race and he felt like crying, tears of happiness of course. You may be wondering what James was scared of.
Well today was their last night of being fiancé's. They would finally be getting married tomorrow. But tonight was the night that Cain would have it all to think about, that's what James worried about. What happened if Cain didn't want it? What happened if Cain decided he didn't want to get married? What happened if one of them got nervous and ran away? Or maybe Cain was planning on saying no. Maybe he was planning on leaving James all alone. No matter how many times Cain reassured James, his thoughts always came back and attacked him harder. James knew he shouldn't have been over thinking; yet it was impossible not to. James looks up when he heard the bathroom door open, his eyes shining as he saw Cain step out in his towel. James didn't care if Cain was wet and had just got out of the shower, he rushed over to Cain and pulled him close, hugging him as tight as he could. "...I don't wanna go, why do we have to do this, I want to be in our bed tonight... Not one of Jace's." James whines as he clung onto Cain, pouting he then looked down at him, placing a kiss on his lips. The doorbell rung, echoing throughout the house. Ugh. That would be Jace and Charlotte then... James looks down at Cain whining as he hugs him tightly, wrapping his arms around his waist and pulling him close. "I'm not here..." he mumbled childishly, resting his chin on Cain's shoulder.
A hour later and Jace had finally been able to load all of James's stuff up, putting his two bags of clothes and other things in the back and carefully placing the suit and other things in the car, making sure James was happy with it all before looking at Charlotte and nodding. James looks back at Cain with a huff, his arms being crossed over his chest as he looked away sheepishly, he then began to tear up, pulling Cain close to him. "...I'll miss you chipmunk, do-don't cry, it's okay..." James mumbled, even though James was the one nearly in tears. Some people may have called James a drama Queen, but James feared being alone. So leaving Cain made him feel like killing everyone around them until he could hold Cain. But tomorrow would be the best day of his life.
He would finally be a Monroe.
