Paul's POV

It's getting harder being around her knowing I'm falling Inlove with her but she keeps pushing me away it's not that I Dont get I do but it was high school, not college...

Anyway, there's a lot we need to talk about...

I have a 5-year-old daughter named Lea...I will tell Mel I just Dont know how she will take it...

Meeting lea's mom at University wasn't part of the plan after she broke my heart too I gave up on love I mean I messed up with Mel so it's karma I guess..I've been having flings but that's all I had time for no relationships my daughter needed me...

So yesterday we made love and I haven't felt that way about anyone I mean I literally saw stars...I knew she would be confused and leave thank God she didn't fly back home though I'm going to give her space because I know I messed up in the past if I could I would take it back...

Our honeymoon went by fast I'm glad I made it less painful for her I was determined to make her smile and try to make it up to her. We will be going back home soon and I cant wait to see what will happen next.

I feel like she wants to tell me something and I Dont know what I hope she trusts me enough to tell me one day.....

Mr. Parkisons

After we got back a few weeks later  Mr. Parkinsons sent an invitation to my office for a dinner party...i need to come with my lovely wife and of course I need to convince her to come with me.

It was time to go home so I left and when I got home she had cooked for us it was very delicious but I ate alone and maybe she was sleeping so I knocked at her room because we live in separate rooms her request.... I hate it but I need to win her over so if she told me to drown myself I probably would.

"come in"

How could one resist that face I just looked at her?...

"I know you didn't just come in here to look at me you creep"

he laughed a bit embarrassed

"sorry......I'm home early because we have been invited to a dinner party tonight by Mr. Parkinson's"

"uhmmm such short notice Paul"

"Sorry I just got the invitation too ill just say you're not feeling well"

"no just give me 30 minutes it's 6 pm now "

"We have to be there by 8 pm thank God it's Friday "

"Okay"

"Are you sure"

"Yes paul it's okay even if my parents will be there I'll pray that I don't use the steak knife on my mom.... pray for me too"

"I don't want my wife in prison I'll stop you"

I left her room and showered. After a while around 7 pm she came out looking amazing, how does she do this...

"Wow"

"Hell yes shall we go I hate being late "

When we got there it was nicely decorated and we were welcomed by his butler,  he told us where to sit.

I sat next to her it was a bit far from her parents and I was happy because I've seen how uncomfortable she gets when her mother is around so we greeted them and sat down talking about anything and everything.

We didn't even realize the table was full of people laughing then I saw Mr. Kingston my smile dropped...he wasn't alone he was with Angela and Jason...

"Babe what are Angela and Jason doing here" I was nervous what do they want...

"fuck I didn't know he would invite them .....Mr. Kingston is Angela's father"

"ignore everything they say ok"Paul said

"ill try "

"how are the lovebirds," Mr. Kingston asked us

"We are great," melody said as we looked at each other smiling,

"I love it when the women answer for us" Mr. Parkinsons answered.

He laughed causing the crowd to erupt in laughter

"your honeymoon"

"it was amazing probably the best 2 weeks of my life, "melody said

"I saw the pictures "he raised his eyebrow " what was your favorite part"

Just then melody's mom said
" she said" she wanted to answer for melody how?

Mr. Pakinsons cut her off  lifting his finger stopping her and saying "id like to hear it from her " she smiled  and I couldn't help but smile too.

Melody's POV

After Mr. Parkisons cut my mom off I was ready to do the moonwalk on the table I had a smirk and she gave me death stars which I ignored...

"When Paul got bitten by a starfish"

"what, your favorite part is me nearly dying "

"oh come on babe it was just a small sting on your hand and here you are"

"I'm hurt"

The crowd laughed again but Mr. Kingston and his rugrats looked angry...who cares

"he kept saying I swear this is worse than childbirth like he has actually experienced it"

" Paul...you are one lucky man..... if you let her slip away you're a fool"Mr Parkinsons

"Ohh I Dont plan on letting her go "

I was blushing smiling I felt butterflies i was a mess then he kissed my cheek...

"fuck this is fake " Mr. Kingston hit the table looking at us "cut the fucken act you two "

We are both shocked and confused what the hell is wrong with this man?

"you really think we would be convinced you are in love?

"when he humiliated you in high school?"

Paul looked defeated and that moment I felt like punching Mr Kingston how dare he ? when we are making progress that's my business I held Paul's hand and he smiled...

"with all due respect, Sir that happened in high school do you remember what you did in high school? Or who you screwed over?

"uhm," he said he was shocked everyone
in the table was

"People make mistakes and Paul did but it was 8 fucken year's ago and we are both over it so I suggest you get over it and please mind your business I say all this with the utmost respect "

Then kissed Paul passionately and looked at them"anything else we need to clear before we enjoy this amazing meal"?

Me Parkison's smiled.

Everyone kept quiet and I saw Paul smile and I couldn't be happier I can't believe I just did that I love this new me.

Jason just kept looking at me what's wrong with him?

we ate our food in silence and it was delicious but something was off I felt like I was about to throw up I quickly got up and asked for the restrooms but Paul came with me he held my hair as I threw up...

"fuck....what's In that sauce"

"you ate a lot," he said I slapped his hand and he asked if we can go back so we did after I cleaned myself and fixed myself.

We had a nice conversation and I couldn't eat anymore so I just drank ginger ale....apparently it helps with nausea...

After a while I was tired and falling asleep the men went outside to drink and Paul asked if it's ok and I told him to enjoy himself ...so I sat outside alone looking at the stars...my mom walked to me .what .does.she.want urgh

"I love your act"

I kept quiet I wasn't in the mood for her nonsense really

"So you are actually delusional"

I ignored her again

"you actually think Paul loves you " then she laughed "silly gullible girl"  she kept laughing and walked off

I Dont know why that hurt but I cried so hard I couldn't keep it in...

Mr. Parkinsons came out of nowhere and made me sit down on one of the benches outside...then he handed me his nicely embroidered "Parkinson's " handkerchief.

I blew my nose and tried to calm down....then he handed me some water

This man is so nice...

"feeling better"

"I know about you and Paul I only agreed because I saw how perfect you are together you compliment and heal each other without even noticing it"

He laughed

"never....and Dont listen to your mom maybe she thought marrying Paul would hurt you but you know everything someone tried to hurt us with ends up being a blessing"

"thank you so much "then he squeezed my hand and left cause he's wife was looking for him...

Paul always shows up when I'm in distress how does he do that?

"what's wrong Mel did I so something "

"no Paul it's not you it's my mother she said something harsh and I reacted to it I know how she is but sometimes I wish she could be a mother you know "

"I'm sorry okay whatever she said Dont believe ber"

"yeah thanks, Mr. Parkisons helped me"

"Okay"

"Why does Mr. Kingston hate you other than the fact that his Angelas father"

"Because I didn't want Marks to merge with Kingston and marry Angela"

"We Dont have the same values I Dont believe in having power and abusing it and treating people like they are nothing, I strongly believe in leaving a legacy behind so my kids their grandkids, etc to have and treating everyone with respect from maids to Ceos no one is supposed to be treated differently because of their class"

He and we got home he was lying on his bed when I came in and asked if I can sleep with him tonight he made fun of me asking if there are spiders and I said yeap....so we slept
