Picnic- 22

Kirishima pov
Kat had messaged me the location which I was now currently coming up towards. Kekkon Park. It was large, filled with fields, trees and other types of plants. He had also texted that he had set up behind a gathering of trees. I passed the trees to see Katsuki sitting on a picnic blanket. He looked very out-of-place, sitting in a tranquil, calm park. Noticing me, he stood up and smiled softly. I walked over, almost too quickly, and grinned back at him. Resting on the blanket was a large basket and a couple of plates. I thought to myself, 'what a cute date idea'; however part of me was nervous because Kat wasn't the best at cooking. "Hey Red." He said before planting a kiss on my rosey cheeks. I knew how awkward and nervous Kat could get when it came to initiating a kiss, so I wasn't expecting that. He did kiss me in the mall, but that was when we were almost high on adrenaline, it was different.
"This looks great Kat." I said genuinely.
"You think?" He asked shyly. I nodded, reassuring him. "Well, err, please sit." I did as he said. He grabbed the basket and started laying things down; "So I've got sushi, soup, salad, cheeses, fruit, some fish, some Pepsi-" he said, not looking at me.
"You did all of this?" I asked with real shock in my voice. I could tell he was thinking before responding;
"Well, actually I had, umm, Deku, Iida and Uraraka to help." He muttered. I found it so sweet that he actually asked people to help, he really must have planned this well.

Kat had just finished dishing out the portions, so now my plate was pretty full with delicious food. Whilst politely eating I knew I needed to bring something up which I was reminded of earlier. It was when Katsuki mentioned Uraraka and the others. I decided to start off by complimenting the food, which I could tell made him happy to hear. "Look, before the date, I needed help getting ready so I asked Ashido to come over,"
"Oh yeah, isn't she good with clothes? Speaking of which, you look, really nice." He said with confidence.
"Aw, thanks man, so do you." I said back smiling. I almost forget what I was saying, it was crazy how much Kat could throw me off balance. "But, obviously she asked what I was getting ready for, and she- she kind of realised that I was going on a date with you." I winced. Katsuki basically dropped the sushi roll back onto his plate in disbelief.
"What?" He wasn't angry, he sounded more confused. I needed to explain further.
"So you know she heard us mention date, well she said that Uraraka had to help you do something which they assumed was for a date you were going on. When I called Ashido over to help me get ready, I guess that made her realise we were both preparing for the same date."
"And did you deny it." He said calmly.
"Well, no. She seemed really happy for us, and she promised not to tell anyone." Kat nodded slowly, then he shrugged;
"Well okay then, that's fine." He then let out a small laughed. I guess he wanted to make sure I didn't feel bad, I appreciated that. As he grinned at me, I almost fell on him as I went in to kiss him. He looked amazing when he was smiling, he always looked amazing. He lied down on the grass behind him and held my waist. I was basically on top of him, my thighs cradled his hips. As we finally drew away he came in for one small peck. "I- I liked that." He whispered sheepishly.
"I guess we'll have to do it again one day."

It was later on in the date, and both of us had relaxed. "Think about how much ass we'd kick when we can finally be real heroes." Exclaimed Kat.
"Two gay superheroes with awesome hair and killer looks, who could stop us!" This sent us both into a tame laugh. Throughout the date we'd talked about a lot of things; school, heroes, family, hobbies, that sort of stuff. I had loved every minute of it. We weren't cuddling, but I was sat directly next to Kat, holding his hand. We could see the sun setting through the trees as we were bathed in golden light.
"Oh yeah, I almost forgot." Kat said whilst reaching into the picnic basket. He pulled out a bottle of some pinky liquid. "When I was shopping for stuff I just saw this and I don't know, I thought it would be nice." He then added how it was non-alcoholic. "Right let me just get this lid off-" he muttered, pulling extremely hard on the top. With a sudden 'pop', the cap flew off and Kat was showered in a sticky, pink beverage. It went all over his blue t-shirt, making it go almost brown. "Fuck!" He yelled. I just giggled. Not much really went on me, I was lucky. "I knew I shouldn't have got this stupid bottle-" he cursed at himself. I began clearing everything away whilst Kat continued to insult the bottle. "What are you doing Red?"
"We need to get you in some fresh clothes, we'll head to your dorm, sound like a plan?" I smiled. All anger was washed off his face as he nodded embarrassingly. "You got everything?" I asked.
"Yeah. Urgh I'm going to look like such an idiot walking back." He groaned.
"A cute one though!"
"Whatever, Hair-for-brains." He took my hand and we began to leave the park; we were actually holding hands publicly! I was anxious as we passed other people, but no one seemed to care. I then looked at Kat, expecting him to still be mad at the drink on him. Instead, his face was full with contentment.
