Around the table- 82

Bakugou pov
Thankfully, Red got along with everyone, despite him being shy. He didn't speak too often unless addressed, yet he still was charming as per usual. It made me happy seeing how kind they all were to us, and how they knew to respect us enough to not ask too many questions. My dad had finally finished preparing the meal, calling all of us to come and sit at the table. "Ugh I'm starving." Announced mum, taking a seat at the head of the table. Red and I sat next to each other, holding hands underneath us.
"Looking good Masaru, what is it, sticky chicken ramen?" Uncle Hedi asked, standing over my dad's shoulder as he poured the food into bowls.
"Yep, now everyone, eat up." The two men began placing our ramen in front of us before sitting down themselves. Red's fingers tapped on the back of my hand, despite everything he was still nervous. I kind of felt bad for putting him in the situation, but if we wanted to marry each other one day we'd have to get over it.
"I love ramen!" Exclaimed my cousin, Mitzu. Surprisingly, Red laughed and replied;
"So do I."
"Just you wait till you try mine." Smiled my dad before looking at me. "Isn't that Right Kat?"
"Yeah whatever, I guess." I knew how much my dad liked cooking, just like me, so I didn't want to upset him; his food was good after all.

Soon enough, we were all politely eating our noodles, careful not to make a mess. "So Eijirou, how is school for you?" Asked Auntie Senna, tapping the corners of her mouth with a napkin. Red looked up from his food, surprised.
"Oh, well- it's going good, still need Kat to tutor me though." He laughed causally.
"Kat tutors you? But isn't he like, dumb?" I craned my neck to give Ori evil eyes.
"Why you little-"
"Actually Kat is really smart, one of the top in our class, not to mention he's also one of the strongest." Red interrupted me, always watching me on my manners. My mum, at the head of the table, began chuckling.
"Don't give him too much of an ego." She slapped the side of the table. Through the laughter of subtle arguing, my nana spoke up, to my dread.
"So Eijirou, how are your parents, do they live near by?" Red and I both tensed up as my mum gave me the side eye; I had told her the whole situation.
"Err, well no, they live up north, four of five hours away I believe."
"Oh that must be awful, not being able to see them everyday." She carried on, with grandad nodding beside her. I thought to intervene.
"They're not on that good speaking terms, okay? Maybe we should drop it." I said bluntly. The mood instantly shifted at the table as everyone already began to feel sympathetic towards Red.
"Oh Eijirou, I'm sorry."
"Oh no, don't worry about it." He laughed off, waving his hand. "It's fine, really."

"So boys, what are you plans for after UA?" Asked Uncle Hedi as he cut the cake we made. After the awkward end to the conversation earlier, it then shifted to talk about my mum and her birthday and other family things. Red however shook it all off, as he began talking more and getting along comfortably. Going back to Hedi's question, it was something Red and I had never discussed.
"Well I want to go to the main hero office in the city, become the top hero and all that." I said, already seeing my future set out. I turned to Red, who didn't seem as sure.
"I mean, I'd like to go there as well, but I think I'd be quite hard for me, considering my grades and all. But I'm sure there are plenty of offices."
"Any office would be lucky to have you, of course, you'll get loads of offers." I hyped up my boyfriend whilst taking a piece of strawberry cake.
"I hope so." He gave me a small smile.
"You could be hero partners!" Exclaimed Mitzu, grinning at the two of us. "You'd be so cool!"
"Aww thanks Mitzu." Red nodded, taking a strawberry of the cake and putting it in his mouth.
"Well your quirks do work well together, we saw in the Sports Festival." My dad said. My nana slapped the table in excitement, just like my mum did.
"Oh you two boys will just do great!"
