The next day

Everyone was awake bright and early, eager to put their plan into action. It may have been simple yet it was fool proof.

"So is everyone aware of the plan?" Logan asked, assuring that everyone knew exactly what was going to happen.

"Yep!" Patton smiled. "I teleport to the Dragon Witch's castle and use my powers to create a key and then free Jessie and bring her back here, creating some sort of replica of her to leave there"

"Precisely"

"You know Lo, the plan's really not that complicated. You don't have to repeat it a thousand times" Virgil sighed. "I'm pretty sure we all know it off by heart by now"

"Well you can never be too cautious" Logan pointed out.

"Yeah yeah whatever" Virgil rolled his eyes before moving over to Patton and placing his hand on his shoulder. "Are you sure you can do this alone?" He asked him.

"Virgey, I'll be fine. I promise"

"Just please stay safe. I don't want you to get hurt" Virgil flung his arms around Patton and buried his head in Patton's chest.

"I won't get hurt. I'll be fine. Are you sure you don't want to come?"

Virgil shook his head. "I'll only slow you down if I come"

"No you won't" Patton reassured him. "But if you really don't want to come, I won't force you to" Patton gently lifted up Virgil's head so that they were gazing into eachother's eyes. "I should probably get going now. Bye Virgey. I love you" Patton softly pecked Virgil on the forehead.

"I love you too" Virgil carefully pulled away from Patton. "Stay safe"

"I will. Don't worry" Patton reassured him again before turning to the rest of the group. "Right, who else wants to come with me?"

Maddie slowly raised her hand shyly. "Um could I please come. I need to see her again. I need to see Jessie again, make sure she's okay. Besides, she might think I'm dead and I don't want her thinking that"

"Of course kiddo!" Patton smiled warmly. "Come on then" Maddie immediately ran over to him, gripping onto his hand tightly. "Bye everyone! We'll be back soon!" He waved to the rest of the group, gaining a few waves and "goodbyes" in return, before looking down at Maddie. "Are you ready?"

"As I'll ever be"

Meanwhile

Jessie hadn't been able to sleep all night, her head throbbing like it was a drum being hit continuously. After her breif sleep the previous day, she awoke abruptly to a loud crash, although she had no idea where it came from. Since then, she hadn't been able to sleep at all, no matter how hard she tried and no matter how tired she was. Well how could she? She was locked in a cage in a freezing cold room, her girlfriend was dead, one of her closest friends had turned evil and she just felt as if there was no hope left in the world.

Suddenly, loud shouts were heard from the next room. Curiously, Jessie got as close to the edge of the cage so she could listen. However, it was clear that this was pointless when Georgina stormed into the room, followed by the Dragon Witch, both obviously annoyed at each other and unaware that Jessie was in the room listening to their conversation.

"I can't believe you!" Georgina yelled as she angrily ran her fingers through her hair in frustration. "Why did you have to turn him evil?!? Why didn't you just ask me?!? You know I'd do anything you want without fail! Besides, I have powers too you know! So why couldn't you just send me??!?"

"Because you're useless!" the Dragon Witch snapped, draining the anger from Georgina's face. "You would fail because you can't do anything right! You'll never be good enough or evil enough to do anything like that and you know it!"

"Mum..." Georgina's voice softened.

"Don't call me that! You know full well that you're not my daughter and if I could get rid of you, I would! You're just a parasite! An annoying, useless, worthless parasite!" And with that, the Dragon Witch sharply turned around and left, the door slamming behind her.

Her rage now gone completely and filled with despair, Georgina threw her back against the cold, stone wall and slid down it, pulling her knees to her chest as she hugged them tightly. She began to quietly sing to herself, attempting to comfort herself, unaware that Jessie could hear what she was singing. Every single word was true in her mind. Every single one.

"Tell me what's wrong with me: my body, face, my hair.
Tell me all my many faults.
Tell me like you care.
When we both know you're cruel and we both know you're right.
I could listen to you, like a fool all night.
What's wrong with me?
How I speak?
How I dress?
What's wrong with me?
You keep me guessing.
Mama called me beautiful, don't believe her anymore.
Now I'm listening to you, what do I do that for?
Please don't ignore me.
Mmh, Mmh
Tell me who we hate today and I will fall in line.
Hug me while my shoulders tense and we'll pretend we're fine.
Though we both know one day there'll be blood on the floor but which one will betray the other more?
What's wrong with me?
Where's my mind
Where does it end?
Maybe I need to find a few more friends.
What's wrong with me?
What can I do?
What's wrong with me?
Could it be you?
It's probably me.
See that, you see.
What's wrong with me?
Mmh, Mmh"

"Wow. That was beautiful" Jessie commented once Georgina had finished singing, causing her to jump to her feet in shock.

"You weren't meant to hear that" Georgina's voice was lower and quieter but not in a sinister, menacing way but more in a timid, shy way.

"Welp, I did. Wanna talk about it?" Without hesitation, Georgina shook her head.

"No I can't. I shouldn't. If she catches me talking to you, confiding in you-"

"Calm down" Jessie interrupted. "She won't find out. Who's gonna tell her?" Georgina remained silent. "Exactly. Now come on, talk to me. Tell me what's been bothering you. You can tell me anything and I promise not to tell anyone"

"Okay"

So, you're probably all really confused and have loads of questions but this chapter is getting long and I'm feeling ill so, I guess you're gonna just have to wait till next time. Byeeeeee
