"Wow, you were right Patton, singing really does help" Jessie commented after the two had finished singing.

"Yeah I guess so" Patton looked off into the distance, worry and concern still spread across his face.

"What's wrong Pat?" Jessie asked.

"It's just...I'm worried about the others. What if the Dragon Witch gets to them? What if they get hurt? I'm especially worried about Virgil"

"Who? Your crush?" Jessie asked.

"What? No. He's my best friend. I don't really see him in that way"

"Are you sure? Because you two definitely had some connection when you were dancing. Plus, he definitely has a crush on you"

"He does?" Patton asked.

"Obviously! I mean, have you seen the way he looks at you. He has such a massive crush on you"

Hearing this made Patton's heart flutter like it never had before, not even around Logan. Maybe Jessie was right. Maybe he did love Virgil afterall...

Meanwhile

Maddie and the other sides were all hidden away in a classroom, Maddie pacing backwards and forewards, unsure on what to do.

"I can't believe she's gone! Just like that. Oh this is all my fault. I should have fought them, not run away. She would have fought them for me. Gosh, I'm such a coward!" Maddie cried, tears running down he cheeks.

"Maddie, this is not your fault. The Dragon Witch is the only one to blame" Roman told her reasuringly, placing his arm around her shoulder. "Now, do you want to help us come up with a plan to get our friends back and destroy her once and for all?" He asked and she nodded. Gently holding her arm and leading her over to a table where Virgil and Loan were sat discusing a plan. Although he tried to hide it, Virgil was absolutely heartbroken and worried about what happened to Patton. He longed for nothing more right now then to have Patton wrap his soft, warm arms around him and reassure him that everything would be ok but he couldn't so Virgil was forced to just hide his emotions.

"Hey guys, so how's it-" Roman began

"Shhh Roman, I'm trying to think" Logan placed his finger over Roman's mouth in an attempt to quiet him but Roman just removed his finger.

"Love, I was just trying to be polite" He argued.

"Roman, now's not the time for a petty argument" Logan said firmly.

"I wasn't trying to start a petty ar-"

"Just shut up Roman!" Logan yelled. "Can't you see I'm trying to concentrate on saving our friends!?!"

"Well if you would just let me talk, maybe I could-"

"I SAID SHUT UP!" Logan yelled, finally loosing his temper.

"Fine! I can tell where I'm not wanted! I'll leave you alone now! Thta'll make you happy, won't it?!?" Before another word could be said, Roman stormed off into another empty classroom, slamming the door behindhim and pacing forwards and backwards, running his hands through his hair.

"I can't believe the nerve on that guy!" Roman yelled to himself. "I mean I love him but he sure can talk a lot. He never lets me talk either and if he does, he doesn't listen to me. I'm pretty sure he thinks that everything I say is useless. And to think that he claims to love me" He sunk down against the wall and began to sing to himself.

"You always talk, talk, talk all the time.
You never let me get in a word.
I wish I had, I had a dime for every thought I've swallowed unheard.
No matter what it is that I do,
It's like I just can't seem to get through.

I've tried every which way and still you never listen.

Meanwhile

None of the other four sides knew it but there was someone else in the Imagination, someone that they knew oh too well. He sat in a small cottage in a small village in front of a roaring fire, his scales glistening by the fire side. They didn't know this but the other side that they often neglected often ran away to the Imagination as an escape, so much so that it was more of a home to him than the actual mind scape. Sure he was alone here but at least there was no one to yell at him or to simply neglect him. He felt at peace here. Sitting in a small rocking chair, sipping his tea, he began to sing quietly to himself, the curse affecting him just as much as the others.

"You know i try, try, try to explain.
I'm not the guy you want me to be.
And yet it's all, it's all in vain.
You just don't wanna see the real me.
You think you know what I'm all about and yet you just keep shutting me out!

Suddenly, the two sides began to coincidently sing at the same time.

Maybe then you'll listen!

You need to listen!
You better listen!

Feeling defeated, both sides let a tear drip down their cheeks as they just sat alone, wishing that there was someone who understood them.

Hey guys. So sorry that chapter was shorter than previous chapters but I thought it would be nice to end it there. So Patton loves Virgil! Moxiety may happen. I repeat: Moxiety might actually happen! Finally some joy in all the sadness. And then we went straight back to angst. But we've got some Deceit love (Deceit was the other side if you couldn't tell)! I've just felt like I villainize him so much in my other fan fics because I don't have another villain but I've started to like him so I wanted to show some love for him and show that he's not the bad guy and is just misunderstood. And no he is not lying for those of you questioning it. Those are his true feelings. In my fan fics, I make like to make it so that he can control when he lies. I'm sorry for those of you who see Deceit as a villain but oh well. There are plenty of other fics out there where he is the bad guy, including most of mine so self promo or anything hehe, so just let me have this one please. Anyway, sorry for that rant, and all the recent angst. The next update may take a while cause I need to decide on the next song before I write the next chapter.
