Epilogue
Four Months Later.....
The lake house was alive with people rushing back and forth, trying to finish any last minute touches.
"Watch where you're going!" Luna yelled seeing as Chris about ran into her in the way to the kitchen.
"I'm sorry. The pan is hot, okay?" He replied, coming up behind her and ruffling her hair.
"Hey!" She swatted his hand away. "Don't do that." She laughed.
The two of them had grown extremely close and attached during the past months, both had always wanted a sibling.
"Is everything ready?" Chris inquired, looking over her shoulder at the notebook.
"Should be. Aunt Britt ran to the store to get ice." Luna said.
The doorbell rang making them both smile. "Looks like just in time to." Chris held out a hand. "Shall we."
The blonde took his hand, and together they ran to the door. Yanking it open to reveal Jace and Lacey.
"Merry Christmas." Luna said with a huge smile. This would be her first Christmas ever.
"Merry Christmas, dork." Jace replied, pulling her into a hug. "I missed you guys since break started."
"We missed you too." Chris patted his friend's shoulder.
"I, however, do not miss the school work." Luna answered honestly.
Luna had started school last September with the boys just to be closer to them.
"It looks so good in here." Lacey complimented.
It was true brightly colored lights hung around everywhere, and a tree sat in the corner decorated with ornaments and a start.
"Thank you." Brittney came in the back door, Xander right behind her with ice. "It took a lot of bribing to get the boys to help.
"Lies." Xander said, playfully nudging his sister.
"Is not." Luna chimed in. "She had to make you and Chris gingerbread cookies before you would help."
"Who's side are you on?" Xander and Chris asked in unison.
Luna only laughed.
The rest of the night was spent exchanging gifts and playing odd games until finally Mrs. Sinclair left and the Hanson siblings retired to bed. Leaving the teens up alone.
"Did you like your first Christmas?" Jace asked Luna.
"Yes." She said, still lying on the couch.
"You have one last present to open." Chris stated, handing her a small red unwrapped velvet box.
"What's this?" Luna looked at it questionable.
"Just something we got you." Jace shrugged. "Open it."
The blonde did as told and opened the small box. Inside was a silver ring with the letters LCJ in between the band, a small heart on either side. Inside the band the date July 30th, 2005. The exact day Luna met the boys. It was beautiful.
"We know how much you like rings, and-"
Luna cut Jace off. "I love it." She stated, tears threatening to spill. "You guys are the best a girl could ask for." With that she slid into the floor, and pulled them in a warm embrace. "I love you guys."
"And we love you to, Luna." They replied.
They stayed up most the night watching Christmas movie she had never seen, and drinking hot chocolate. Each teen finally happy after so long.
Oh my goodness, I can't believe this story is over already. It doesn't seem like that long since it was published in July.
There will obviously be no sequel, for the story has ended.
Anyway thank you to everyone who read and supported this story, and I hoped you enjoyed it.
Goodbye for the final time - Izzy
