Vineet books the tickets to India for his mother and himself. He's happy and he has a motive. He has always seen his mother crying and cursing someone else for the death of his father. She believes that Daksh was murdered back then. It was a plan and things have changed for her since then. She never looked back and moved to New york.

Vineet moves to Devika's room and finds her sleeping. She's holding a photograph. Vineet takes out the photograph and it happens to be his parents' photograph.

He looks at his mom, she looks serene in her sleep. She looks at the picture and smears it with his hand. He knows things are wrong and there are things which are hidden from him. All he needs is to decipher the truth.

"I promise, Dad. Main sach ka pata lagaunga aur gunehgaaron ko saza bhi dilvaunga. Main sirf mom ko khush dekhna chahta hoon." Vineet says while looking at his dad's picture.

He glances at his mother and then leaves the room. He has promised himself to find out the truth.

Mumbai, Singhania House

Rajveer is unable to sleep. Naina has given him a reality check and the name he said in his unconscious state has raised questions. His daughter is questioning him and he has no answers to her questions. He can't tell her the person about whom he's talking. His wife is angry at him and probably hasn't forgiven him.

The name is -- Devika. The name from his past. The name that meant so much to him. She's is the one who considered him a best friend but he could not be the friend she wanted.

" Raj, please understand. Tum aisa kaise kar sakte ho?"

"Raj, I love him! Uske alawa aur kisi se shadi nahi karungi main."

"Meri guardianship hain Uncle ke paas! Tumhari dost hoon main, lekin mere liye decision lene ki azaadi aap dono ko nahi hain! Main apne faisle khud le sakti hoon!"

"Noo! Mujhe ye baat manzoor nahi hain uncle. Main Daksh se pyaar karti hoon."

"Nahi! Aap aisa soch bhi kaise sakte hain!"

"Tum dost kehlane ke laayak hi nahi ho! Just shut up and leave me alone!"

Rajveer wakes up breathing heavily. He composes himself and finds himself in his room. He casts a look beside himself and Naina is sleeping soundly.

He is breathing heavily and he looks for water but the jug is empty. He walks out of the room with cat paws and fills a glass of water for himself. He gulps down the water in one go.

Her face is still flashing in his eyes and he doesn't know her whereabouts. All he wants now is to meet her and apologise. Well, that would be a small word but it's all he could do. Meanwhile, a sleepy voice grabs his attention.

"Dadda!" It's Anamika who has come by his side.

"Princess! Tum soyi nahi?" He asks in concern.

"Main so rahi thi lekin pyas se neend khul gayi. Aur fir main meri bottle bharna bhul gayi thi. Toh mujhe idhar aana pada." Anamika cringes her nose as she didn't like the fact.

"Oho! Chalo, tum room mein jao, Main laata hoon tumhari bottle bhar ke." Rajveer says affectionately.

"Yaay! You're the best, dadda! Par pehle paani!" She holds a glass and he fills it with water.

Anamika gulps down the water and runs to her room while Rajveer fills her water bottle with cold water and moves to her room. He keeps the bottle on the side table and glances at Anamika. She's looking at him while he covers her with the quilt and kisses her head.

"Dadaa! Ek baat puchun?" Anamika looks at him.

"Princess, subah baat karenge. Abhi so jao." He tries to divert her but the girl is adamant and mostly like her dad.

"Noo! Subah aapko time nahi hota." She makes a face.

"Betu, abhi sone ka time hain. Tum kuch mat socho , so jaao. Come on! You're my good girl., hai na?" Rajveer says smearing her head.

Anamika nods and Rajveer again kisses her head softly and leaves the room. As he leaves the room, Anamika sighs.

"You need to tell me the whole thing, dadda! You cannot backoff. I know, aap aur mumma kuch toh chhupa rahe ho. But ab aur nahi. Ab toh Vineet bhi aa raha hain. Ab toh main sach pata karke rahungi."

She promises to herself and then drifts into sleep.

New York

It's morning and Devika is the first one to wake up. She is relishing her morning tea and looking at her picture with her beloved hubby - Daksh.

Vineet is the exact copy of his dad except for the moustache and beard. Initially, Daksh loved that look as well, but slowly, he developed love for beard and Ruhana happily accepted it. A small memory flashes in her mind.

*Flashback Begins*

It was the time when Devika was pregnant and Daksh had got a project from the USA. He didn't want to go away leaving his wife behind.

"Daksh,samjho na. Tumhe jana chahiye." she says.

"Arey, lekin kaise jaun? Tumhe yahan akele chod ke. Tumhe akele dekh ke vo log...." He says but Devika cuts him.

"Vo log kuch nahi karenge, Daksh. Unhe is ghar ka address hi nahi pata. Tum jao na please. Baby bhi yahi chahta hain ki tum jao." Devika says as she keeps his hand on her belly.

"No, my princess wants me to stay back." He says,.

"Arey, tum fir shuru ho gaye! Shut up, Daksh. Tum jaane ki taiyari karo." she scolds him.

"Main sach keh raha hoon, mujhe na princess chahiye.." He says boring his eyes in hers.

"Jee nahi! No Princess! Only Prince! And yes, get a beard. Tum mere bete se zyada handsome nahi lag sakte, samjhe!" Devika says softly.

"We'll see to it. But yes, I'm already handsome aur mera beta mujhpe hi jayega na!" Daksh winks at her.

"Shut up! And get ready." Devika says slapping his cheek.

" No, we're going together. Main tumhe lekar hi jaunga." He says softly.

Devika sighs deeply and agrees to him. All she can do is follow his words because for her, he is her safe place. And there's no other space that she can feel safe as her own people have hurt her.

*Flashback Ends*

Devika comes out of her memory lane. She remembers her husband , though, her son is there with the face of her husband. Yet, she misses him and she is scared to go back.

" Mujhe bahut darr lag raha hai, Daksh. Lekin tumhara beta tum pe hi gaya hain! Bahut ziddi hain wo! Tumne mujhe yahan aane ke liye manaya aur usna waapas India jaane ko!" Ruhana says softly while smearing the picture in her hand..

Unknowingly, tears trickle down her eyes but someone wipes them off. She looks up to find Vineet sitting beside her. He says something that leaves the lady astonished.
