Dhiya's Plan
Hi friends!
Sorry for the late update and Thank you for the interest in reading the story and without delay read the next chapter....
Dhiya's POV
With only two days left before returning to India, I couldn't shake off the doctors' warnings that leaving Allen in her current state could worsen her condition. I spent a sleepless night thinking about it and decided to consult my close friend Nathiya, a psychiatrist in India. I discussed Allen's case with her, and she conferred with the chief doctor to provide me with valuable suggestions to help Allen overcome her Xenophobia.
Akshadh and I took Allen to his flat, where I was amazed by the unique decorations in each room. The hall featured stunning natural waterfall paintings, while the study room had a beautiful flower wallpaper. The bedroom ceiling was painted to resemble the sky, giving the feeling of sleeping under the stars. Akshadh's attention to detail and taste were impressive.
He took Allen to a room filled with toys, where she played happily until the morning's medication took effect, and she fell asleep in my lap. I gently stroked her hair, ensuring she slept peacefully. Akshadh later lifted her and placed her comfortably in bed.
Just then, I received a call from Nathiya, who shared some insightful ideas to help Allen overcome her Xenophobia.
"Thank you so much for your time, Nathi. I hope your suggestions will help Allen. I'll do my best," I said, ending the call.
As per Nathiya's advice, I decided to take a selfie with Akshadh. "Akshadh, I need to take a selfie with you," I said, trying to sound casual.
"Selfie? What for?" he asked, looking surprised.
"To upload on social media," I replied, teasing him.
"Social media? Why?" he asked, his expression serious.
"To spread rumors," I said, kidding him again.
"Rumors? What's gotten into you, Dhiya?" he asked, confusion etched on his face.
"I love rumors, Akshadh," I said, unable to resist teasing him further. His innocent reactions were adorable, and I enjoyed playfully kidding him.
"So, you want a selfie with me? I'm not the kind of guy you expected, Dhiya," he said, his eyes sparkling with amusement.
I couldn't help but smile. "Then, what kind of guy are you?" I asked, curious.
Akshadh rolled his eyes, leaving the question unanswered, and I couldn't help but laugh at his cute expression.
"Can't you trust me to take a selfie with you, Akshadh?" I asked, smiling.
"I trust you, Dhiya. I know it's for a valid reason, but I couldn't guess what it was," he replied, his eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Right, Akshadh. I need our selfies to help treat Allen. It's the first step in her recovery," I explained.
We took selfies with various poses, and then I asked, "Akshadh, may I use your laptop?"
He handed it over, and I copied some photos from my pendrive and his laptop, creating a common folder. Akshadh watched patiently as I worked.
"Completed!" I announced confidently. "I hope this will work and bring a positive change in Allen."
Akshadh smiled, his eyes filled with hope and trust.
Akshadh's POV
I had a certain perception of Dhiya and her attitude, but she's proven to be a perfect being. I knew her request for a selfie was for a purpose, and I played along to see her smile again. I surprisingly enjoyed our conversation and loved her company and care. What struck me most was the motherly love in her eyes when she was with Allen.
"Daddy!" Allen exclaimed, rubbing her eyes.
I lifted her onto my lap and asked, "Did you sleep well, Allen?"
"No, Daddy," she replied, her eyes welling up with tears.
I turned her face to mine and asked worriedly, "Why? What happened, dear?"
"In my dream, you and Mumma left me somewhere. You both went, leaving me in a lonely place," she said, crying.
Tears pricked at the corners of my eyes.
Dhiya approached us and said softly, "Don't worry, Allen. It was just a dream, and in reality, we're both here with you, right?" She placed a gentle kiss on Allen's forehead.
"Yes, Mumma," Allen replied, managing a small smile.
"Allen baby, I have some work to finish, and then I'll spend time with you," Dhiya said.
Allen looked at her without responding.
Immediately, Dhiya acted like as she was in busy checking laptop.
Allen get down from my lap and stepped towards Dhiya. Allen jumped out of joy by seeing the screen of laptop. I went close to them.
"Awwww! My daddy is on the screen," Allen said excitedly.
Dhiya clicked next, my different pose of photos appeared. I smiled.
"Allen baby, Do you want to see your daddy's childhood photos?" asked Dhiya.
Allen nodded.
Dhiya opened my childhood photos. Sweat beads formed all over the face of Allen. She got tensed and nervous. The childhood photo of my face is not familiar to Allen so she started responding as she responds when she saw a stranger.
I signalled Dhiya to stop as Allen get scared.
"Everything will be fine, Akshadh. Please be patient" said Dhiya that only I could hear.
"What happened Allen baby? He is not a stranger, he is your daddy and it is his childhood photo," said Dhiya
Allen sighed a deep breath out.
"Ok, cool down. Do you want to see mumma's picture?" Asked Dhiya and Allen nodded
Dhiya showed her solo photos. Allen and I enjoyed seeing it. Then she showed a few selected college photos, where Dhiya had close pose with her bestie.
Then we looked Allen. Allen reacted as Dhiya's bestie was a stranger to her.
Next, Dhiya clicked next still. Dhiya and her same friend photo displayed. This time Allen didn't react much.
Dhiya showed thumbs up looking at me. I smiled.
Then, she showed our selfies which we took in the morning. Allen got excited again and she jumped out of Joy.
Then, Dhiya showed random photos to Allen there were strangers too but Allen started reacting normal. She didn't get nervous this time.
Few minutes later, Dhiya played a drama which was played by her and her friends. At first Allen got a bit nervous.
"Dear, Allen, Where is mumma?" Dhiya asked Allen.
Allen pointed her.
"They are my friends and they are very good person like you, my Allen baby. Are you scared of them?" Dhiya asked Allen
Allen didn't reply. She looked at them weirdly.
I never think that this idea of Dhiya works but it is ok. I could see drastic improvement in Allen, even before a week Allen got fainted by seeing a stranger but now she started noticing and listening them. Really, I thank Dhiya for her efforts.
Dhiya's POV
I gathered all the courage and showed the pictures to Allen. As my friend, Nathiya told that Xenophobia victims would show slow changes and should make use of the changes so I showed many photos to her.
Akshadh was really scared of her because he knew her from the beginning and he faced many worst paths of Allen. I didnt tell my plan to Akshadh because if I tell him he would have rejected my ideas thinking Allen's health. Also,Akshadh didn't ask about anything and he trust me a lot. Hopefully, Allen will overcome Xenophobia as soon as possible.
"Akshadh, Let us take Allen out by tomorrow," I knew it is risk to take Allen out but to overcome Xenophobia it is an essential step.
"No way, Dhiya. I am not ready to take any risk and it's consequences. Allen's life is more important to me," he said seriously.
