Later, my father dropped me at the stop. I hurried into the bus caught a seat and began to continue with my incomplete work. I was trying to complete as fast as I could.

There comes Mike, he thought that I would have reserved a seat for him but I totally forgot about in the midst of this disorder.

"So you broke our deal, isn't it?" he questioned me sarcastically.

"Please, spare me this time, I am held up, I will make it sure you get one by tomorrow" I pleaded.

"What are you doing?" he asked me peeping into my notebook.

"Math homework." I replied fast and continued with the sums.

He looked into my notebook and then I could sense his face turning towards me.

That made me feel awkward.

"Uh... I think you must need some help, can I teach you?" he offered.

"No, thanks, I'll manage" I said and continued with mine.

We reached the stop. I was walking with quick steps. I still had 7 sums left... What will I do! My mind kept haunting with this thought and I became so freaking tensed which made me eat up my nails

Just then Mike gave a sharp tap on my fingers.

"Ouch! That hurts!" I said.

"Don't bite nails, little girl" he said.

I just rolled my eyes and ignored it. My mind was clouded with something more important.

"Do you know what is the first class today?" I asked Mike hoping it should not be math.

He checked in his phone and replied with a evil smile "Math!"

I am done; I could very well imagine what is going to happen to me next.

As school was coming closer and closer. My heart was beating faster and faster.

When we entered the class Mr. Kim was already seated. I headed to my place without having eye contact with him.

"Students how many you have an incomplete homework?" he voiced.

I turned to see, not a single soul stood up.

"Tell me the truth, If I catch you, your punishment will be severe." He warned.

That made a deep chill run through my spine. Fearing for more punishments I gathered all my courage and stood up slowly with my head facing down.

"Ah! You again? What made you to have an incomplete work" he asked me.

"I... I... forgot Sir" I stammered.

"Forgot? Such a simple answer?"

"Get out of the class!" he shouted and pointed his index towards the door.

I slowly moved out. The whole class glued their eyes on me.
I actually felt awkward not because of the punishment, but because I was the only one to have it in the whole class.

Mr. Kim was solving sums on the board. I was viewing it from outside.

After 15 minutes I could watch someone elserunning towards the class.
Some very well known face, (not him)

It was Lia!

"Excuse me Sir!" she permissioned pantingly.

"Why are you late?" he asked Lia.

"Sir, our car had a breakdown" she replied.

"Fine, have you completed the homework?" was his immediate question.

"Yes! Sir." She said confidently.

"Where is the notebook?" he demanded.

"It's in the car Sir. But unfortunately the car is now in the mechanic store, so the notebook is officially in the mechanic store" she replied.

There was a burst of laughter in the entire class.

"Shut up!" Mr. Kim yelled.

"Stand out! Youa re not entering my class" he shouted the same dialogue at Lia's face.

Now, I'm not alone

Lia stood with me and gave a poker face when Mr. Kim turned to the other side.

Even punishments turns into entertainment when you get it along with your friends.

We stood there for another 20 minutes. I was playing Rock-paper-scissors with Lia outside the class.

"The class is ended" I heared Mr. Kim's voice in the class. Then immediately Lia and I wore a pity face.

"Don't repeat it next time!" he warned us.

We stood nodding our heads. Once Mr. Kim left the corridor we were relieved. I gave a deep breath out and we both entered the class.

During recess I was arranging all my things in my locker and Lia and I lunched at the canteen. It was her treat today. Having a hearty meal we walked with heavy stomachs to the class.

"What is the next class?" Lia asked me.

I saw my timetable and it read

'Gym.'

Gym after heavy lunch?
