Cedric POV:

One year later...

"So was there anyone before me?" she asked me curiously.

I gave out a deep sigh, shot her a smirk and began.

"There was one, one girl." I said.

I thought she would ask me her name, but she din't.

"She was my high school crush" I said.

"Ahh! That must be interesting" she commented wriggling her eyebrows.

I smiled and continued.

"I don't like to converse with girls, it was always like me and my 8 boys. Where ever we go we go together. And that's when she entered my life.

I first saw her in our canteen, we were sitting behind her but my seat was right behind her seat that I very well heard her ramble about her chicken burger, she was ended up with smoothies cause she din't have enough money. The first thing that hit me was her kiddish voice. I somehow got a view of her face, she was cute.

It was like she hates the smoothies and she din't want to waste it too, so I thought of helping her indirectly. I called a boy and made him buy that smoothie from her, yeah of course paying her, not for free. She din't knew it was me who did it, not even now. I have not done like that to anyone, cause the fact is I hate smoothies too but my awesome friends eat whatever I give them so that was not a big deal for me.

I started to secret admire her from that day. And somehow I got a chance to talk with her and made her dine with my group and she liked it but she was in love with another guy, so I cannot force her to like me, now we are good friends, but the bitter fact is it's hard to be friend with the person you have loved before."

She looked at me with her soft eyes and said,

"I know how it feels, I never guessed that you had gone through this same feeling, I thought it was only me in our relationship"

So she too has a dark past?

"I saw him first on a summer camp in our locality. He was my younger brother's friend. And yeah, he is a year younger to me but he was such a boy that every girl wished for. He used to come to our house every evening for the next one week after that camp it was like that I found that strange feeling.

Everything went on quite good, until he returned back to Canada, his native. I started to get dreams about him and it was like I wanted to see him very badly. And later, I don't know if it was a coincidence or fate, my brother was engaged with his sister and later I met him again at my friend's house when I visited Canada, she said he was her classmate, I thought I should not waste time again and just confessed him one day when we were out on a trip.

But he was interested in my friend and you know how it felt that time? I was into pieces. But I thought at least I could maintain a good friendship with him but no, everytime I talked with him it was like both heaven and hell, it was so good talking and chatting with him but it was a total pain on the other side knowing I'm not his." She ended.

I din't wanna know his name or who he is, it doesn't matter, but she is a gem and I wished I could give her all that she had lost.

"You still remember him, like sometimes when you talk with me?" I asked her.

"Until I met you" she replied with a smile holding my hand.

"You made me forget him Cedric. You made me realize fate is sometimes beautiful"

"And I'm happy that my fate is beautiful too"

"I love you Aaysha" I replied placing my hand on top of her hands.

"Though this being our 28th date, I still find you new everyday" she said making butterflies fly within me in her every word.
We chatted for sometime and had our meals. You're right! We are in the restaurant.

"And pay the bill baby" she said after wiping her mouth with the tissue.

I saw and the amount read $100, my baby eats a lot.

"I'll drive today" she said and got the keys from me grinning.

But she understands me well.
