I stood rooted to the road, not a move not a blink, did nothing,

Just stood still, watching him walk past me.

It's a dream, it's definitely a dream right?
I pinched my skin hard,

OUCH! No, it hurts! It's not a dream; I never knew reality can be far more bizarre than dreams!

Second, check for the heart-beat, I placed my index and middle finger on my veins and...yes, I could feel it but it's abnormal but never mind!

Third, to admit the reality, Mike kissed me and I kissed him back!

Woah!!

Almost the entire crowd there was eyeing on me, he left the place so by default their eyes landed on me. Embarrassed, I left the place with quick steps.

It started to drizzle when I hurried to the bus stop but by the time I reached there, the sky started to tear up. I got into the bus half wet, my eyes were searching for him; I found him in the usual seat which we used to sit.

He pushed his wet hair back from his forehead and slowly lifted his head, gleaming his eyes towards me,

I quickly turned to the other side, blushing
Oh Boy, he is irresistible!

I din't plan the seat next to him, I got one in the front row and was trying my rushing mind to calm down.

Okay, okay, now cool down, I slowly looked back to see what he was doing, oh my! He is staring- staring at me!

My heart-beat began rising, okay chill down, it's okay, it's okay, take a deep breath in- and out, in and out.

RELAX!

I kept commanding myself.

Definitely not helping.

Just then I got a call from my father,

"Hello"

"Mina, where are you I have been waiting for you for more than 10 minutes in the school!" My father's voice said from the other side.

I totally forgot about that, I come by car nowadays right, how can I be so absent minded? I just followed this boy and ended in the bus, okay in a moving bus.

"Uh...sorry dad, I took the bus today, I-I did that because...." I kept stammering for the answers.

"Never mind, I think you have done something right, the car is not starting now!" he replied. I could hear the engine go on and off through the phone.

"Bye dad" I replied and hung the call.

For the first time our car has done something right. My luck!
Wait I too have lucks?

Mike's stop came; I could sense him walking towards the door, he din't turn or tell anything, just left!

Now I'm more confused than before, what is in this boy's mind? And what sort of answer was that!

I am such a chicken, why did I kiss him back he likes Aaysha obviously, I'm betraying my friend. I don't deserve forgiveness.....

Wait?

He was the one who started it how could it be my fault? He have to give me a proper explanation

I'm not done with my questions still!

But I'm still a dumb chicken.

Back at home, I could hear someone coughing,

A tiny cough.

I turned to find Gaby narrowing her eyes at me and Lucy standing with folded arms.

"W-what?" I asked.

"And finally, all your doubts are clear!" Gaby said while throwing fake sparkles around.

"I never thought you'd fall for that jerk, but the point is he likes you too, hmm..... not bad, he's a good guy, you are forgiven!"

I gave a chuckle.

"But my doubts are not yet clear!" I said.
"Shall I call him now and ask the things that are running in my mind?"

I turned and found them both looking at me with bridging eyebrows. (Crickets creaking)

"Does doesn't sound good?" I asked.

"Mina, some important things need to have a direct conversation, a face to face conversation"

"Just ask him all your doubts tomorrow, face to face" Gaby said.

"Face to face" the words escaped from my mouth.

"I'm sure he'll give your answers" she added.

"Him? I'm done with the answer that he gave today" I replied sarcastically.

There went a suppressed laugh by them. And I made my mind to ask him tomorrow.

Next day my first thought was to ask him all my haunting doubts.

I walked in the class, everything was normal, boys smacking each other, girls chatting, Rachel with her usual gossips and Mike with Brandon.

How can I talk to him in midst of this? I want some privacy!

The bell went for the second class and it was sports, everyone started to rush out of the class because who hates sports?

But I had something more important to do,
I waited for everyone to leave the class and at last when Mike was about to leave, I got hold of his hand and said,

"Mike I wanna talk to you"

He saw me with a plain face and gave a nod.

He sat on his chair watching the girl infront of her, who was walking from end to end not knowing how to begin the conversation, well that's me!

"Will you stop walking like this and come to the point?" he asked me in disbelief.

"Fine, now tell me, why did you kiss me?" I asked after giving out a deep sigh.

"I just want to, so I did" he replied with a shrug.

"Oh really? But you din't- din't ask my permission!"

He got up from his chair and started to near me,

"Then why did you kiss me back? Did you ask me any permission?" He shot back.

Someone burry me now, please...

"Well that's- that's...." I was so embarrassed to look him right at his face now.

He got up from his chair and made his way towards me

You like me right?" he asked me looking down at my face.

I could sense chills passing through my spine now,

"No" I replied trying hard not to look at his face.

"Lie!"

"Why I have to lie?" I defended.

"You think I like Aaysha and she is my girlfriend, but you can't forget me, so you needed someone, that's Cedric, but though he takes care of you so well, you still can't forget me and this is the truth!, Am I right minion?" he asked with a smirk.

I was left with no replies, because he is right, totally right!

"I don't want you to see me like the other girls, just see me like Mina, like my minion"

"It was always you!" he replied slowly.

So he din't like Aaysha, it was, me!

He likes me, that's the real fact! My eyes started to blur up with my tears,

I jumped on him and hugged him as tight as I could; I planned not to leave him. I could feel one arm around me and the other one patting my head,

"Don't make it a Nile again!" he said mockingly.

I started to laugh in midst of my crying.
He then got my face between his hands smiling, everything went on so sweet and lovely until something wrong happened,

"Mander!!!" we heared someone yelling and turned to see who it is.

At the door stood a boy with blood shot fire eyes and folded fists,

It was none other than CEDRIC!
