I was sitting on the garden bench with my view falling on the fountain before me. I was just preparing my mind mentally. I wish I should not faint again this time. And after some time giving a deep sigh I took my phone and texted,

_ Mike can you come to the hotel garden, I want to tell you something, something very important

Before I could press send, I heared a voice go

"What are you doing here alone?"

I turned and saw Mike leaning on the light pole which stood next to the fountain.

"W-when did you come?" I asked him, my heartbeat started to pace-up.

"60 seconds ago?" he replied.

"What's the matter?" I asked him.

"What are you doing here alone?" he asked while getting his place next to me.

"Ahm... just admiring the fountain? Yeah fountain, it looks great right?" I asked.

His view then shifted to the fountain and after starring it for a couple of seconds and started out of blue.

"The last time when I saw you near a hotel fountain like this, you were crying because of Sid. Do you remember?" he asked the last sentence looking at me.

"Why are you talking about it now? Just leave it!" I replied with a low tone, I don't want that topic enter the chat again.

"Fine, I was just saying, not to hurt you!" he replied and punched my shoulders lightly.

"Where are the others? How did you manage to get through that crowd?" I asked him.

"Oh them? Everyone went to eat; I become so underrated when compared to food!" he replied in his usual mocking tone.

I just shot back a smirk.

"Thanks" he replied suddenly.

"For what?"

"For the party and I love your planning, it was awesome, I din't expect that!" he commented.

Babe I want you to love me not the planning!

"You like it? That's all I want" I replied back smiling.

"I couldn't relate you with the Mina who I met on the first day, you're different, I-I never knew you're so caring and kind" he replied.

"Okay that's enough for today, we can have the mocking session tomorrow" I replied with a smirk.

"No, I'm serious, you're so different, I don't know whether you changed or it's only now I'm getting to know about you completely"

I din't reply anything, every time when he speaks my doubt on him are getting conformed little by little.

He likes me!

There was an awkward silence for sometime and I thought I can speak up, you can do it, come on girl!

After a few seconds of silence I began,

"I wanna tell you something Mike!" I replied low with my eyeballs slowly turning towards his direction.

Woah! He is already starring at me! Okay chill! Don't get tensed!

"What if I say I wanna tell you something too?" he asked me.

Okay, something's gonna happen.

"You go ahead" I replied.

" Ladies um... sorry minions first!" he said smiling.

"No birthday boy's chance first" I replied.

"Alright!" he replied with a shrug and began,

"Just hear this song" he said and extended one of his earphones to me while plugging the other one in one of his ears.

It was... wait I knew that song, I was not getting it's name first when the music was playing but I was quick to identify it when the singer began singing,

It was Imagination by Shawn Mendes! I love that song, but why is he playing that now? Something fishy!

I din't ask him anything further but kept simply hearing it's awesome lyrics,

'I keep craving, craving you don't know it but it's true
Can't get my mouth to say the words they wanna say to you.'

What's wrong with this guy? Or should I have to say something has gone right with this guy?

I could sense his palm's warmth on my hand now, I turned towards him slowly with tonnes of questions and anxiety rushing inside me like formula 1 cars.

His grip on my hand was getting tightened but surprisingly we din't had any conversations in the middle, just looking each other blank for sometime. His eyes were filled with something which I haven't seen before; not the tears, something more than that,

Love.

And the next instant we kept inching closer and closer until our lips were only few inches apart, his hand slowly moved at the back of my neck pulling me closer and his other hand got a firm grip of my right cheek. I never guessed that he too thought the same way, so he wants to kiss me too? And there goes cleared, my doubt for my last question.

Now few inches were reduced to nearly one inch now, with closing eyes I was praying not to faint again,

Just then there went a vibrating sound followed by a ringtone on Mike's phone,

Ahhh!!! Wrong timing!!

"Excuse me" he said fast without even looking at my face, I know it's really embarrassing when something happens like this.

I gave a deep sigh and watched him get over his phone, he saw his phone then looked at me and swiped the screen to answer,

"Hello Aaysha, How are you?"

I was broken, literally into pieces. H-how can I forget her? So this guy still likes her? Really?

"...Thank you Aaysha" he said with a smile and their conversation looked like it's not gonna end immediately.

I cannot tolerate it anymore, I don't want to sit and watch them flirt. I am literally getting cheated by this boy every time.

I left the place as fast as I could making sure he din't see me leaving, he's so busy with her right? Then fine!

I left to my room and closed the door shut, hard enough to make the entire corridor echo with my banging sound.

"How can he do this to me? Why? Why me? It was him who took me out yesterday, it was him who sang the lyrics for me, it was him who tried to kiss me and why it's him to break my heart?" I kept yelling alone!

"I was already broken and I cannot tolerate that pain again." I said and my unintentional tears started roll across my cheeks.

I pulled my knees closer to my chest by my hands and started to weep. Suddenly I heared a knock at the door. I quickly wiped my tears and went to see who it was.

"Hey Mina, you know that we are leaving tomorrow morning right start to pack all your things!" she said and sat on the bed jumping.

"Oh, we're leaving right, I forgot" I replied low.

"And your phone, you left it in the hotel bench, be careful with it girl!" she said and gave back my phone.

"Thanks, I-I forgot" I replied.

"You forget everything girl!" she said mockingly.

"Yeah I forget everything and believe its all new every time" I replied in a plain tone.

"Are you okay Mina? You sound different?" she asked.

"What? No I'm.. I'm pretty fine" there I give her my biggest lie.

The next day morning we were leaving, I thought this trip would be something unforgettable and yes it was but not in a good way.

I never texted or chat with Mike thereafter. I din't turn to him, but this doesn't help me from forgetting him, it was only getting worse. I need something to forget him, maybe someone.
