It was the first time we entered the new school's gym auditorium. It was so big and marvelous. We lost ourselves gazing it but it was interrupted by someone blowing the whistle.

It was a tall and a little aged woman in a blue jacket with a high pony tail.

"Welcome students! I am Stacy Helen, your fitness teacher." She said in her bold voice that almost echoed the entire vacant hall.

She was telling about all the sports, the school contained. It was so boring and I could not resist myself from distractions. The only thing that entered my ear clearly was when she said,

"Now change your clothes and pair up in your roll numbers!"

In a few minutes time all were assembling with their partners. I was searching for Mike.

But I could see only a crowd at the corner; I understood Mike must be in that midst. Luckily the teacher blew the whistle to clear the entire crowd.

"Who is your partner?" the teacher asked Mike in her thundering voice.

He was searching for me, I knew it.

"Ah there you are Mina!" he said with a tight smile and dragged me by my hand.
I was trying myself to get released from his tight hold.

"Leave my hand you block head!"

"You call this a hand?" He asked.

I just ignored and pulled my hand from him.

"You're looking even shorter in this dress" he started to tease.

I was trying hard to avoid him, he is not making it easy for me.

"But it's cute!" he added and began to make sounds like a toddler.

He was irritating me a lot; I want to do something;

Something...

Just then I noticed that his left shoe lace was untied.

Okay? I got one!

I remained quiet. The teacher ordered to jog around the gym auditorium, we all began jogging. I was suppressing my laughter because I knew what was going to happen to him.

"Why do you chuckle?" he asked me puzzled added with a serious look.

"Nothing!" I replied.

Then there was a Thud, Mike fell on the floor, just as I thought!

I was laughing my heart out. He was frowning at me; I could see those flames in his eyes. Soon all the other girls rushed towards him for helping but they were stopped by the teacher.

"He will get up by himself" she said them.

"Are you okay kiddo?" she questioned him.

He was still fixed on the floor holding his left knee and was groaning in pain. I thought he was really hurt. Never mind he deserve it.

The teacher looked at him and quickly said,

"Please take him to the nurse room at the right."

We all stood blank. We don't know who she mentioned.

"I am talking to you!" she said pointing towards,

me? Wait me?

"Me?" I asked her pointing my hand towards my chest.

"Yes! You take him to the nurse room, fast" she ordered.

What the hell? Why always me? I turned towards Mike in disgust. He gave me a rectangulish smile and started to give a fake groan. I cannot trust him.

I first stretched out my hand unwillingly for him to stand but he stood up and threw one of his arms around my shoulder.

I could find my blood flow freezing for a couple of seconds. I was able to see many girls looking at us with mouth open. But I actually don't like it. I could feel his entire weight on me. I was walking with criss-cross steps as I was finding it difficult to balance his weight.

"Mike, your heavy, please don't put your entire weight on me!" I said grinding my teeth

But he din't pay any attention. Stupid!

I somehow reached the nurse room. I made him sit on the bed. He suddenly pulled me closer towards him and looked right into my eyes and said

"Thank you"

We glued eyes for a couple of seconds, and then I came back to my senses.

I pushed him away and said,

"You've got to pay for it in future" I replied and was massaging my shoulders. I could still feel the pain of his hand's weight.

By the time I could join the gym class,

the class ended.

I sighed and walked to change back into my uniform. I always wanted the gym class but I missed it because of that Idiot!!

When I returned to class Lia was teasing me with today's gym class event.

"How many times should I have to remind you, I don't like him!!" I yelled at her.

"Cool! Don't get tensed, RELAX" Lia said to calm me down.

"Look at all the girls, they are quite jealous of you" she said.

"It's not my fault! It happens to me like that, a coincidence! An accident or a Fate?" I replied her to defend myself.

"I think everyone is jealous of your fate!" she said smilingly.

But it sucks for me.

I reached home that evening and made sure I complete all my homework first.

Then I got a voice from down, it's my mom calling out my name,

"Honey! Aaysha's parents wanted to speak to you, come down they are waiting over the phone"

I don't like talking with elders. They kill me with advices.

"I'll come in 5 minutes" I voiced back.

"Arshad and Siddique want to talk with you it seems!" she added.

Oh my God!! This is what I wanted. Siddique is on the line!! I have to hurry. I goggled my mouth to make my voice clear. I sang a stanza of my favorite song to check my voice and rushed down.

My mother handed me the phone. It was Mr. Mohammad and his wife Mrs. Miriam they were both talking on the phone at the same time. I think the phone was put in speaker.

I managed to answer all their questions and added a 'yes' for all their advices. Then Arshad started to speak. He is a good , smart and a funny person. He said that he is going to get engaged and his fiancé is residing in Canada. Wow that's cool.

Then after a 10 minutes talk the phone was given to the person who I wanted.

"Hello?"

He began with his killer voice.

I forgot the next words and stood still. I could hear my heartbeat so fast.

"Hello, you're on the line?"

he questioned.

"Y- yes, how are you Sid, I remembered you playing with me here in Canada years ago" I began.

He was quiet for sometime and continued, "Sorry, I am busy right now, we'll talk later bye...uh... Mina"

Our conversation ended so soon, I wondered. But atleast he remembers my voice that's enough, I thought.

That whole might I could only hear his 'Hello' in my mind.
