An alarm clock ringing wakes up the couple cooped up under the girl's duvet, "You have to get up, or you can explain to the sheriff why you were late." the seventeen year old girl Daniella said.

The twenty-two year old man, Jace was buried under the sheets muttered, "Five more minutes."

She removed his arms from around her waist and got up from the bed. "Wha— come back." he whined.

"I have to go to school and you have work." she throws his uniform pants at him, "Deputy."

He sits up stretching and yawning, "Well, this deputy doesn't have to be at work for another two hours." He watches her half naked body walk to her closet.

"Enjoying the view officer?" Dani joked as she grabbed her outfit of the day. "Come on, you gotta go and I have to take a shower."

"Well, I need to shower as well." he says, walking up to her.

"Ok, that sounds like a whole bunch of not my problems."

Ignoring her comment, he goes behind her and picked her up over his shoulder, "Ah! Jace—"

"Oh now my name is Jace?" He kicked the bathroom door closed so they could shower together.

Walking into the hellhole called Millwood High, Dani wanted nothing more than to crawl back into her bed with her boyfriend.

She met Jace accidentally through her mom. Her mom, Kat, works at one of the three universities in Millwood which oddly enough Jace went too. She was there to help her mom with the open house, Kat teaches Criminology and Jace was one of her best students. She introduced the two to each other and the connected instantly. Literally, they had sex in the coat room. It was supposed to be a one night stand, especially since Dani just broke up with her then boyfriend, Tyler.

However, that one night stand turned into two nights, into months and months of rendezvous. They became official two weeks ago, when he took her out on a date in Rosewood. The only people who knows about her secret boyfriend is her best friend Faran, Imogen, and, sadly, her ex- friends Karen and Kelly. Her mom says she knew all along, but never told her how. Maybe it was all the condom wrappers hidden in the trash, or that they weren't really discrete about their relationship in her house. Kat had a problem at first since Jace is a former student of hers; however, she knows Daniella is a young lady who can make her own decisions. Plus the legal consenting age in Millwood is seventeen and Dani makes eighteen next year in February.

She told Faran herself as she couldn't lie to her bestie. The twins and Imogen however found out on accident when they popped up at her house out of the blue and caught them making out.

Speaking of the overdeveloped nincompoops, they were in the main hall giving out flyers and things. Please let that be the map to heaven, away from these bitches.

"Ella!" The she-devil herself, Karen called grabbing the girl's attention "How's my favorite ex-friend doing."

"Number one, you can't call me Ella anymore. And two, she's was doing so well until this conversation." she rolled her eyes and tried to walk away until Karen stepped in front of her "Oh pity, you'll be fine." She turns around and grabs a pin from off the table and hands it to Dani, "This will cheer you up."

The pin read 'Vote Spirit Week Queen' with Karen's picture. "How the fuck would this cheer me up Karen?"

The girl stepped closer to her to say something only she can hear, "I used to always cheer you up. Especially, when I promised not to tell my daddy that his best new deputy is sleeping with a minor. That cheered you right up, didn't it." she said with a bitchy smile on her face.

"Well does daddy know his favorite twin isn't going to be the Black Swan because she's not the best dancer?" The girls smile faulted a little, "And does daddy know, that his dear baby Karen isn't always perfect? Sometimes she's a drunken mess." Reminding her of that night, smirking knowing she shut her ass up.

"See you in. class Karen." Dani went to walk off but then turned back, "Oh, and good luck getting enough votes for Spirit Queen. Cause you're not getting mine." she says tossing the pin back on the table, then walked to Yearbook class.

Her phoned dinged, 'Will your yearbook photo be a headshot or mugshot?'

She looked at the message confused, the deleted the thread. She scoffs, "Fucking trolls."

Dani decided to wait for Faran outside her class to hear if she got the lead role of Black Swan. As soon as her best friend walked out she pretended to be a news reporter, "We're coming to you live in Millwood's hallway with the best and most fabulous dancer here Millwood High. Now we're about to find out if she landed the lead role of Odile in the complex ballet dance the Black Sawn. Faran?"

She pointed her imaginary microphone towards Faran's direction, "Thank you for the awesome introduction Daniella, and I am proud to say that this fabulous dance is the Black Swan!" The girls squealed gaining attention from the few bodies in the hallway.

"Yes! I knew it, Madame Guiry would be an absolute villain if she didn't give you the role you were born to dance." she hugged her best friend, "And it also means my burn to Karen this morning must be really hurting her right now," she inhaled deeply the smiles, "My life is complete."

"Wait, what did you tell the she-bitch?" They started walking to Dani's locker.

"That she had absolutely no chance of being Odile and that she isn't the perfect daddy's girl everyone thinks she is." She said undoing the combination to her locker.

Faran, not surprised by the first comment, was intrigued by the second part of Dani's sentence, "And how is that?"

"Eh, it's nothing. But it surely did get to her." She took her science textbook out then grabbed a portfolio filled with pictures for the yearbook, "Speaking of perfect. Check out your test shots for your bio for opening night."

She handed Faran her pictures and the girl looked in awe. "If I haven't said it already I will say it again, you are a goddess at taking pictures! I look amazing. I mean I always do, but you made me look ten times better." She said shuffling through the photos, "My mom is going to love these. Speaking of which I need to call her and tell her the news."

Faran handed the girl the photos back so she could put them up, "I have to go make some layouts for the Spirit Week pages in the yearbook. Text me later." They quickly hugged and went their separate ways.

Once Dani got home, she started dinner since it was her night to cook. "Eh, spaghetti should be fine." As she started her phone ringed, she picked up the phone thinking it was her mom, "Please don't tell me your going to be grading papers all night and coming home late?"

"Well, for one I don't grade papers. I do however have paperwork. And you usually love when I come late." Jace says smugly, making the girl role her eyes.

"Jace, don't make me kick your ass. Shouldn't you be working?" She starts cutting up the vegetables, "Or at least look like you're working, deputy."

"Well, this deputy missed his girlfriend's voice. And wanted to see how her day was? And—"

"And if I wanted you to come over tonight?" She smirked knowing her boyfriend like the back of her hand.

"That too, but I was gonna asked if I needed to bring food over tonight? Or is it your night took cook?" He quickly added, while packing up his things to leave.

"I'm cooking. And yes you can come over tonight. You know my mom doesn't care, she loves you. I think she loves you more than me." she started seasoning the ground beef. "So bring your ass, and I'll tell you all about my day. And how I might have an internet troll."

"Internet troll?" He started to sign off his desktop.

"Yeah, someone texted me from an unknown number asking 'What will be your photo for the yearbook this year, headshot or mugshot?' or something like that. Very idiotic if you ask me." She puts the garlic bread into the oven.

"Didn't know my girlfriend was famous enough to have trolls." He joked about to walk out the police department.

"Oh you didn't know? When I have that camera in my hand and walk through that school, my name is like oxygen the way it comes out there mouths so much." she dramatically flips her hair over her shoulders.

He chuckled, "Ok Beyoncé, let's not get too cocky now. I'll be there in half an hour, need to run home real quick and gets some clothes." He opens the door, walking out to the parking lot towards his car.

"Fine, Beyoncé has to finish cooking anyways. Later."

"Later, babe." He hung up, and she continued cooking.

Not even five minutes later her mom walked in, "Mmm, now what is it my baby cooked for us tonight?" she walked into the kitchen over to her daughter and kissed her cheek, "Hi, momma's baby."

"Hi, ma. I thought spaghetti would be fine for tonight." Her mother nodded her head while taking her jacket off, "Also Jace is spending the night as well."

"Nothing new. That boy has such a lovely soul." She started to sit down to relax for a minute at the kitchen table. That made Dani stop what she was doing and pour her mom a glass of wine to help her relax, "And you are lovely as well." She added smiling as she took the glass of wine.

"I don't know if you were talking to me or the glass of wine." Dani said.

Her mom was in utter bliss drinking, then looked up to her daughter look at her, "Did you say something hunny?"

Dani slightly chuckled and muttered, "The wine." And continued making dinner. After a while the food was done and they got a knock on the back door, that was by the kitchen.

Dani was setting the table and was about to open it until her mom yelled, "The key is under the mat Jacey!" Then they started to hear keys jangle, until the door opened. "I knew it was a smart idea to put that there. How you doing sweetheart?"

Jace walked towards Kat and kissed her on her cheek, "Doing fine mom, you?" He asked going towards Dani and kissed her on her forehead.

"I'm good. And I'm about to be great, as soon as I finish this food then head on up to my california king bed that's been calling my name for me all day." She joked, sitting down getting ready to eat.

"Ok let's eat before the hungry hippo here devours it all." Dani joke and they all sat down and talked about their day.

"I have to be in beast mode this week, especially for the dance Saturday. The pictures I take this year will be going in my portfolio." Dani wanted to go to a school of the arts for photography and every year she updates her portfolio.

"See in high school I was a book nerd." Jace says. "Yeah, but a hot one. I've seen your high school yearbooks. You were, and obviously still are, hot." Dani retorted.

"Don't boost my ego." He looks towards Kat, "What were you like in high school mom?"

Kat blanks out for a second, having a flashback of a rave that ended in tragedy. Younger Kat's face was painted in fear. She regained focus and simply answered, "Popular."

Dani chuckled, "Yeah, turns out my mom was one of Millwood High's It girls back then."

"Yes, I was. But now I'm one of the most well-known, respected professors in Pennsylvania."

"As you should." Her daughter added while grabbing the empty dishes off the table. Jace started to help, but Kat stopped him almost hitting him. "Jace, you make my daughter happy. You don't do the dishes here."

Jace snickered shaking his head, "Just trying to help Kat."

"Yeah, his hands not broken. If he can pick up a fork to eat the food, he can clean the fork." Dani added washing the dishes.

Kat was already leaving the kitchen, "Oop, sorry hunny. Can't hear you, only my bed calling my name! Goodnight!"

"That women is something else." Jace joked.

"You don't think I know that by now." Dani chuckled.

The next day at school during lunch, Faran and Henry were chatting while Daniella was editing photos on her laptop. Until an angry Imogen stormed into the cafeteria, "Are you fucking serious, Karen?!"

"Uh-oh, the bitch is in trouble." Dani muttered.

"Excuse me?" Karen asked obviously acting dumb.

"Don't play dumb. Like you didn't go to Principal Clinton about me." Imogen explained.

"She did what?" Dani asked herself aloud. Her and Imogen may not be as close anymore, but it doesn't mean she doesn't care for her anymore. To Dani, they were still friends.

Karen feigned innocence and got up, "Imogen... you don't seem well. Are you sure this is the right environment for someone in your delicate condition?"

Dani can see Imogen trying to refrain herself from causing a scene, "Thank you for your concern, but I'm fine."

Karen decided to egg her on even more, "Your unhinged behavior indicates otherwise."

Imogen shakes her head, "What did I ever do to you? Really?" Imogen asked truthfully. Then she turned to Greg, "And, Greg" she scoffs and laughs, "You piece of shit coward. Will you finally tell her the truth?"

Karen got closer to Imogen, trying to be intimidating, "You don't belong here. And I'm not the only person who feels that way."

"Hm." Imogen looks back at the crowd in the cafeteria then back at Karen, "Well, I'm not going anywhere." She then turns to the Spirit Queen posters, "In fact... I'm gonna be Spirit Queen just like my mom was."

"What are you even talking about?" Karen asked genuinely confused.

"Aw, keep up, Karen." Imogen faked pouted then spoke to Karen slowly, "I'm... running... against you, and I'm gonna win." She then struts out the cafeteria, not without stealing some fries from someone's tray.

"Imogen running against Karen?" Dani asked smirking, loving the new added drama at school.

"She's got my vote." Faran said.

"Automatic vote." Dani added.

Walking into school that morning, Daniella looked for Imogen to be on her campaign but was stopped by Principal Clanton, "Ms. Thompson. May I see you in my office?"

The teenage girl was utterly confused. She just got onto school property and she's already being escorted to the principal's office.

She sat down at his desk, "Is there something wrong Principal Clanton?"

"Yes. Ms. Thompson you are on the yearbook committee right?" The girl nodded, "And you're handling all things Spirit Week. Including Spirit Week campaign photos."

"Obviously, where is this going Clanton?" The girl said losing her patience.

"Ms. Beasley says that you ruined her campaign pictures that you took of her Monday." He pulls out a folder of pictures that Dani took, but weren't edited by her. The pictures were ruined with Karen's face all distorted and vulgar language all over it. "And she provided the evidence."

"Principal Clanton, this wasn't me! I haven't even developed the pictures yet!" Dani slammed the folder onto his desk.

"You will be in detention for a week. Starting today." Clanton continues.

"This is complete bullshit!" Dani exclaims grabbing her bag and leaving the office. The girl stormed through the hall looking for the blonde bitch. "Where the hell is she?!" the people in the hall moved out her way, leading her right to Karen. "You! Why the fuck did you frame me for something I didn't fucking do?!"

Karen looked at the girl slightly scared, but her mask of confidence was hiding it well. "You sabotaged my pictures because you're on Imogen's campaign."

"I'm not even on her campaign... yet. And if I was to sabotage yours, I'd do a lot worse than ruin your pictures. We both know I'm very crafty." Dani said getting closer to the blonde.

Karen raised her brow, "Is that a threat?"

Dani chuckled, "Aw, Karen. You wouldn't have to question it if it was." She walked off making sure to bump into the girl's shoulder.

Daniella walked into the library for detention with Faran, apparently the Beasley girl accused her of hurting her as well. "I swear, I will hurt that bitch."

They both sat down at the table, soon the other girls, including Tabby and Imogen, sat down as well. She knew Noa but didn't know the other girl, probably a freshman.

"Detention, ladies, last one hour." The librarian said the looked at Noa and Dani, "Exactly. Understood?" Causing the pair to roll their eyes.

Dani decided to draw in her sketch book to make time pass by.

Imogen scoffs, "This is such bullshit. We shouldn't be here Tabby."

"Wait. Are you two the ones who trashed Karen's stupid Spirit Queen posters?" Faran asked.

"Mm, I truly wish we could take the credit, but no." Imogen says.

"That bitch blamed me for ruining her Spirit Queen headshot pictures. I would've done worse." Dani said.

"Well, we didn't do it. Karen trashed her own posters to frame us. She sent me a message only I would understand." Imogen says. "But it was her... Trust."

"Wait, i thought you two were tight." Noa started then looked at Dani, "You too. I mean all three of you were cool."

"No, that was last year. This year she wants to annihilate me." Imogen explains.

"The bitch is scared of me for one. So technically, she was only cool with me out of fear. And two, me and Imogen are still friends. just not as close as we used to be." Dani added on looking at Imogen, the girls sent each other small smiles.

"Why? Why does she want to annihilate you?" Faran asked.

"At first, it was because she thought I kissed her boyfriend. Now, it is because everything I do enrages her." The pregnant girl continued.

"And, of course, Principal Clanton took Karen's word against ours, even though it was two against one." Tabby concluded.

"Karen put razor blades in her pointe shoes, then said it was me, which got me thrown out of Swan Lake." Faran added.

"You didn't tell me that you got kicked out of the dance!" Dani exclaimed, ready to bite Karen's head off even more.

"Damn... That's some extreme ballet shit there." The girls nodded.

"Yep. She'll do anything to win, or to destroy anyone she sees as a threat." The pregnant girl stated.

"Why didn't you tell your teacher the truth?" Mouse asked shutting her computer.

"I tried to, but she's basically an adult version of Karen." the ballet dancers replied.

"This whole school is Karens." Tabby added. "Principal Clanton, our teachers. They should have our backs, not stab them."

"Yep, a bunch of knock-kneed, racist, homophobic, basic Karen bitches." Dani added sketching in her notebook, "Needs more blood." she muttered to herself, as she drew a horror comic.

"Okay, now I'm thinking Karen landed my ass in detention, too." Noa started. She scoffed, "I have to take these drug tests, right? Well, Nurse Simmons says I failed my last one, but I bet that bitch got her sister to spike me pee. Only 'cause I said I wouldn't vote for her for Spirit Queen."

"That would be more than enough justification for Karen." Imogen said making Dani nod, "Yep, when we were close, she used to find everyone's weakness and secrets and hold it against them. And with my creative mind, I made it a game or a prank."

"She still does that." Imogen added.

"And, and before she started dating her boyfriend she tried to get with mine." Noa continued.

"Wait. Is your boyfriend Shawn Noble?" Imogen asked leaning closer on the table.

"Yes."

Imogen gasped, chuckled and nodded her head, "Oh. Yeah she definitely went aftee him, and he definitely wasn't interested, so she definitely hates you. Sorry." Imogen explained.

"Yeah, she came off so damn desperate, I wanted to reject her ass too." Dani stated.

"Like I give a shit what that psycho thinks. I just... I don't need any more trouble from her dad at this point." Noa concluded.

"Karen said I put a dead rat in her bag." Mouse stated gaining all the girls attention.

"What the fuck?"

"I would've done worse."
"Did you?" The girls all asked at once.

"Of course, I didn't. It was Karen." Mouse started to explain, "On the first day of school, when I introduced myself to her in homeroom and said 'Hi, my name is Mouse,' she said 'You're named after a rodent? Ew, that's disgusting.' And... ever since that day, she's called me 'rodent'."

"I think it's cute. I mean you obviously have like a Disney name or named after a cartoon mouse right?" Dani asked.

The girl nodded, "Minnie." Dani smiled at her causing the youngest girl to smile.

"Okay, but why would she go after you now?" Noa asked trying to piece the puzzle together.

"That's the terrifying thing about Karen. She doesn't need a reason." Imogen added.

"But I did just call her a basic Barbie, and basically told her to fuck off, so I guess I deserve it." Mouse concluded.

Shaking her head, "No, you don't deserve shit. None of us does." Dani retorted.

"She's rampaging." Imogen started, "'cause she's scared she may not win Spirit Queen. I dared to challenge her, and you all made it clear she won't be getting your votes."

"Wait, so we're all here because that bitch Beasley targeted us." Noa asked.

"Yes, and because no one in school cares enough to hold her accountable." Tabby explained.

"All because her daddy is the Sheriff, give me a fucking break." Dani added.

"Seriously, how has Karen not been canceled yet?" Faran asked.

"Maybe we need to be the ones to do it." Imogen stated. "My mom died... and she didn't even bother to come to the funeral. Like you said, Beasley's a bitch. But so is payback." she looked at the girls, "Who's with me?"

"I'm in... with whatever. I'm in." Faran says first.

"Hell yeah. Let's fuck some shit up." Noa said.

"Yes, one-hundred precent." Mouse chuckled out.

The girls look at Dani who was grinning wide, "Is that even a question? The creative part of my brain is tingling."

"Awesome." Tabby said, "The question is... what do we do? What can we do?"

"Oh that's easy." Imogen grabbed the girls attention, "I think we should kill Karen Beasley."

The girls all looked at each other with smirks, except Mouse who look genuinely scared. "Metaphorically, Mouse. Like kill her reputation and shit like that." Dani added making the girl's shoulders relax, "Sadly." Dani muttered to herself.
