Butterfly's POV
I watched as Bamboo stormed up into her room. I heard the wooden thunk as the door slammed shut.
Sighing I go back to chopping up vegetables for a mid day soup. Suddenly I hear a scream and a crash. I run upstairs and stop when I get to Bamboo's door. I hear crying and I know I should leave.
Back downstairs I see Best back on the couch, munching on chips.
"I asked you if you could go get groceries," I say, aggravated. She had been very edgy since she had come home late last night.
"In the kitchen," is all she says before turning back to some corny cartoon.
I sigh and walk into the kitchen. To my surprise there were three bags of food, the exact ones I had asked for. I poked my head back across the bend that separated the living room and kitchen. I squint at Best who just continues to each her chips smugly.
I start to unload the groceries when my phone gives a great shake of vibration from within the depths of my denim jeans. Frowning I look at the message.
How are you feeling?~ Green Idiot
Anger and suspicion cloud my chest and mind. How had he gotten my number?!
Who is this?~ GreenQueen
Hilarious BF. Seriously, you were crying a storm last night. I'm surprised you didn't shrivel up into a piece of jerky.~ Green Idiot
I bet I would've tasted delicious~ GreenQueen
No...you'd be pretty sour~ Green Idiot
Now I know why I put what I put as you're name on here... ;)~ GreenQueen
What would that be?~ Green Idiot
Eh. That's my secret...~ GreenQueen
Hmm. Alright...so back to my first question~ Green Idiot
The door opened with a creak from the next room and I heard arguing voices-Blaze was home.
Sorry. Gtg, Blaze is back~ GreenQueen
I didn't bother to look to see of he answered before I was in the room.
"I told you! I was out getting groceries! I came home late last night, woke up early this morning. I saw the list and decided to get the stuff BF needed!" Blaze said, thrusting her armload of groceries into Best's arms.
I watched her storm up to her room and slam the door angrily. Best shook her head and dropped the extra groceries on the couch.
"She's a horrible liar," she declared with a small smile. She walked upstairs, probably to talk to Blaze, leaving me alone to my thoughts.
Or so I thought.
