Berry's POV

I looked up to the sky as if flashed with lightning and rumbled with thunder. Suddenly the rain poured down on us and soaked us; skin and bones. I looked at Bamboo and saw that her bangs that were usually pushed off to the side were now soaked into her eyes.

She wipes them away and rain trickled down her cheeks, giving her a shiny glow in the moon. She was truly beautiful. I won't deny it, i liked a LovelyLight Girl. Deal with it.

"Look, as nice as that is...i'll have to pass. Biscuit's with Blaze and i'm pretty sure Bull is stalking Butterfly. I hope thats helpful," Why was she helping me.

"Aren't you going to find your sisters?" I ask. She looks up at me with large sad eyes and sighs.

"They aren't my sisters, they're my cousins, and no i'm not. They can handle themselves," She says and wipes away a stream of water from the side of her head.

"Then why'd you come out here?" I ask smugly. Her wet bangs fly back into her face but i can still see her raise an eyebrow.

"Is it a crime to go on a walk?" She asks.

"You seem to think so when its us walking," I retort. She clamps her mouth shut and looks down at the raindrops splattering the street. "Here lets get you dry," I grab her hand and she pulls it back, looking at me suspiciously. "Relax. Theres a building up ahead. You can dry off there."

Finally she accepted my hand and i helped her into the air. I knew she didn't have her belt with her.

After we got to the building i pried open one of the doors and found some old clothes. I threw some to her and grabbed some for myself.

"Now isn't a time to be bashful. Theres no other rooms so you'll have to change here. I won't look," I say, turning away. After a minute the sounds of her movement stopped and i turned around. She stood in a blue checkered skirt and a white t-shirt. Although old fashioned, she made it look cute.

"Go ahead, i won't look," She says, turning around. I didn't really care if she did, but i just shrugged to her back and slipped into black boy shorts and a navy blue tank top.

"How long do you think it'll last?" She asks after turning back around.

"Not much longer, it already looks like its clearing up," I say, pointing to the sky. She shakes her head.

"I mean how long do you think this feud will last? We cant hate each other forever," She says with a thoughtful note to her voice. She was right, when was it going to end?

"It'll end when Blaze and Biscuit call it off," I admit. It was true, them being leaders and all, it ended when they gave the say-so.

"Ha! Then it looks like we'll always be enemies, right?" Bamboo laughs, looking at me.

"Unfortunately," I sigh and slide to the floor. Bamboo raises an eyebrow at me and mimics my position on the floor.

"You don't want to fight anymore?" She asks curiously.

"Why would i?" I say, bored. She think for a minute and sighs.

''Do you guys have a mother?" She says, avoiding the question. "Or a father?"

"We've got that stupid monkey, but i doubt that counts," I admit with a shrug. Bamboo nods and tucks her legs up to her chest. "You don't have to explain. I know already." She nods her head dully and her eyes become distant.

"You know, your dad was my idol," I admit, but i don't know why. Bamboo lifts her head and looks at me, as if she saw me for the first time.

"Really? My dad? Boomer?" She asks.

"Yup. Boomer Jojo...him and his brothers; your uncles, were the baddest of the bad," I nod and give a small smile. "But of course that changed after they met your moms."

"Yes, the PowerPuff Girls," She adds in with a small smile of her own.

"Eh. Not the biggest fan, but they weren't too bad," I say with a shrug. Bamboo gives a laugh and looks at me, happiness evident on her face.

"Well, Rowdy's weren't really my thing, but i have to cheer on my dad," She laughs again, filling the empty dank room with emotion. Suddenly she stops and eyes me cautiously. "How do i know that this isn't some trap to find my weaknesses?"

"You have a weakness?" I ask with a laugh. She gives me half a smile, but her question was still evident. "Hmm. How can i prove that it's not?"

"You tell me," She says, folding her arms stubbornly in an adorable way. I guess thats what you end up with when the cutest girl and guy in New Townsville have a baby.

"Alright, here," I take off my transformation belt and toss the navy compact at her. She catches it and looks at the engraved F in the center. She glides her fingers over it and then traces the F with her finger. "Trust me now?"

"I can't see how i couldn't," She says with a small smile. I return in with a shrug and start to relax against the wall. Outside the wind whipped and lightning flared. "I have a feeling i'm staying the night."

"Well i'm certainly not going out in that storm, but if you're crazy enough to try it- which I'm sure you are- you can attempt it," I shrug and the lights flicker into a haze.

"Well i bet i would be the first to live through it," She says proudly, lifting her chin into the air.

"Oh surely," I reply sarcastically. She sticks her tongue out at me and laughs.

"Berry?" She asks after a while of silence.

"Hmm?" I respond, my eyes starting to close. I fight to hear her next question, but my mind is slowly fading into dream land.

"Thank you," She whispers and then my mind is gone.
