Bamboo pov
I woke up with a warmth spread all over my body. I hadn't wanted to move, it was nice hear, but I did. I slid out of the thing that was surrounding me and stopped. I realized it wasn't a thing. It was a person.
I look over and see Berry's peaceful face. My head had been lying on his chest and his arms had been circled tightly around me. I quietly slid from his grasp without disturbing him and went over to the other side of the room.
A glint of blue caught my attention and I see Berry's compact lying on the floor. I think of mine sitting at home and then remember my moms.
I pull out the light blue sphere from my damp clothes pocket and look at the engraved P. If I use hers I'll transform into Rolling Bubbles, not Dancing Bamboo. That could be a problem...if I were seen.
Casting on last glance at Berry's peaceful figure, I transform quickly. A gush of blue surrounds me and bubbles add to it, popping silently. When it's gone my hair has been out up into two curling pigtails and my clothes changed into a light blue dress with a dark blue jacket. I felt as if I was bubbles.
Quickly I flew out from the building and went home.
Once there I crept through the door to be greeted by BF.
"Aunt Bubbles?" she gasps when she sees me. Her green eyes are crusted with sleep and her face has deep lines in it. "wait...Bamboo?"
"Surprise!" I whisper with a small shrug. BF rubs her eyes and blinks at me a few times.
"Why are you using your moms compact? I didn't even know they still worked..." she says thoughtfully, pulling out her mothers light green circle and examining it. As if on cue I transformed back, my pack out of juice.
"They are. I had to get home," I say grabbing my compact from the couch and placing my moms into my pocket. I realize I'm still wearing the odd clothes that Berry gave me.
"Where'd you go? The 60's?" she says, motioning to my wardrobe.
"I didn't exactly have many choices," I reply bitterly. Butterfly shrugs and walks into the kitchen. I follow her, catching a glance at the clock.
"3:28? BF why are you up so early!" I exclaim, surprised. Butterfly hushes me and shrugs.
"Couldn't sleep. Where were you all night?" she asks.
"At an old building..." I say quietly. BF lifts an eyebrow.
"Doing what? and with whom?" she continues.
"I was with Berry and we were getting g out of the rain. I wouldn't have had been out there if you had stayed put," I reply tersely. Butterfly nods and sits down on a stool.
"Did you see Blaze?" she asks, curiously. I shake my head.
"She didn't come home?" I ask, avoiding the question from myself.
"Nope," BF shakes her head sadly. Now Blaze would have to deal with Best, not me.
I sigh and walk upstairs into my room. It had turquoise walls that matched my color, a white bed in the center, a large slide door that lead to a small balcony, and a few dressers.
I fall onto my bed but I feel something under me.
"Ouch!" I say, rubbing my back where something sharp had imprinted in it. I move away the blankets and see a clear cube sitting there. Inside was a navy blue compact with the letter R on it.
I gently pull out the box and set it on my lap. It was about the size of my fist and was completely sealed shut. I opened it with a simple spell and placed my mother's light blue one next to it.
The two compacts began to shake slightly and glow. I freaked out when they lifted into the air so I grabbed my dads out quickly. The light blue one fell to the floor of the box with a dull clank and I watched as the glow disappeared from the other.
Tears begin to slide down my cheeks and I press the circle right above my chest. My heart thumps loudly, ringing off of its metallic insides and my arms shake.
Suddenly I realize it's not my hands that are shaking but the compact. I look down at the blue figure and examine it.
"Bubblessss...? Bambooo?" I scream and chuck the hissing circle against the wall. "Hellllppp...." the hissing stopped and I shove my face into my bed.
It was a nightmare...thats all.
