*Kaname's PoV*

I do not know how many days have passed. But one thing is for sure, I haven't returned to the Enjo mansion. I have been staying in hotels in town only to wake up the next evening to search for Lily. That is the only thing I have been doing these past few days. I walked throughout the woods for days, following the negative energy that was near. But no matter how much I tracked it, it would always disappear when I get closer to it. Also for these past few days, there has many natural disasters such as severe thunderstorms, earthquakes, and typhoons. Luckily, the citizens have been able to make it through these events. I have to find Lily to save her...

It's currently evening, and I am just looking around the woods once again to see if I can detect any negative Ayakashi presences.

"So this is where you were, Kaname-sama. We've been looking for you for the past few days!" Aido said, who was with the entire group behind me.

My eyes widened in surprise. How many days has it even been...?

"What day is tonight?" I asked.

"...May 14th. Current time is 7:15 p.m." Mina said, looking a bit down.

The days have passed by far too quickly. No...

"Kaname, please. Control your emotions. You just put a big gaping hole on a tree!" Ichijo said worriedly.

I looked over and I did notice what I have just done.

"...Aido, Kain. Did you find anything?" I asked, hoping to have a positive answer.

"Y-yes, actually. Just recently as a matter of fact. That was why we were looking for you." Aido stated.

"We are going now. At this moment. Aido, lead the way." I said in a deep tone.

"Y-Yes!" He then walked ahead in front of me, leading us to where he believes Lily is.

*Lily's PoV*

I opened my eyes once again only to find myself in my room once again. This is the second time he does it. He keeps using my body to fulfill his selfish duties. I slowly got up from bed, only to fall into the floor on my knees.

"Oww..." I said to myself as I put my hand on my forehead.

Everything hurts. It hurts terribly... I slowly got up, holding the rails of the bed. When I looked at myself in the mirror, I noticed that I was wearing a long, black dress that revealed my back and a bit of my chest. I also noticed the bags under my eyes. Ugh... This is so not my style. This is far too revealing...

The door opened, revealing Yami who was smirking evilly.

"Not again... Just stop already..." I said in a very weak tone.

For these past few days, Yami has been using me to get used to my body. It's been exhausting and I can barely move on my own now. I can't even leave this room unless Yami takes over my body.

"It looks like Kuran-san and your other friends have given up on you..."

"No... they haven't. It's the fact that you have me trapped down here they cannot find me..."

"Yami-sama! Kaname and a bunch of other people have discovered the way in here!" On of the Ayakashi stated.

My face brightened in excitement. Kaname... he has finally come to save me.

"Heh... then we'll split them up into different parts of the castle and bring them here to my chambers. It's almost time anyways. Looks like I am going to need your body, Lily-san. This time... Forever." He said, looking over at me.

"No!"

However, the black mist took over me again and everything around me went black.

Why...why do I keep allowing him to do this? Could it be because how weak I've grown for these past few days?"The fact that he ends up relieving the pain within my body? Either way, I don't like this. I just want to be by Kaname's side again...

*Kaname's PoV*

"I never saw this cave before." I stated in curiosity.

"It's blending in with our surroundings." Mari said.

"Well, let's hurry, before..."

I was then interrupted by an evil voice.

"Well, well, well. I am surprised you found this place... Yami-sama... No. no. Lily-sama awaits your arrival."

Did they just say Lily?

"What did you do to Lily?" I said, holding every ounce of my anger behind.

"Nothing... It is not like she is dead. It's just her body has a new host. Her spirit is just sleeping right now within her body." The Ayakashi said with an evil smirk.

Damn it...

"Lily-sama wishes to play a game with you all. Maybe see who can get to the chambers first. The first one can maybe die by her hand... The game begins now."

Black mist surrounded us, and I found myself along with Aido, Seira, and Michiko within the passageways of an old castle. I looked outside from a nearby window and it seems to me that we are underground.

"Why are we here?" Seira said, looking around.

"Probably it's all a part of Yami's plot..." I said, looking around.

Our surroundings then changed once again to...

Takamagahara...?

This is just some vision game, isn't it? I looked around and everything was being destroyed. The skies weren't its usual blue, it was a reddish orange. I also noticed that the castle where Amaterasu dwelt was in flames. Deep within the flames in the distance, I see a familiar person. Her long pink hair moving in the flames, looking ahead like she did in the dreams.

"Lily." I slowly called out, walking slowly to where she was.

She slowly turned around and when I saw her, instead of tears, I saw blood falling from her eyes. She was smiling just barely.

"Kaname...help me..." She said, reaching out her hand..

"Lily..." I held out my hand as well but then stopped to what I was about to do. That isn't Lily. This is all an illusion to make me believe that the girl over there is Lily.

"Kaname...please! It hurts so much!" She called out to me.

This is just one of my nightmares... That isn't Lily. This is just one of Yami's illusions.

"I'm sorry. But you are not Lily. You are an Ayakashi taking her form. And I know one thing is for sure... Lily is fighting. I must do my part as well.

I looked to my side. It was a sword and I picked it up.

"Kaname... you're not going to.."

"Stop playing dumb. You aren't Lily, you're just some hideous Ayakashi taking her form."

I pointed the sword at it.

"Also...Yami does not wish to kill Lily. He needs Lily. He won't go as far as to letting someone to kill her." I said in an emotionless tone.

"Why, you... you bastard!" It said, running over to me changing back to its original form.

I quickly stabbed it and the background around me changed back to where we were.

"Finally, you come to your senses, Kaname! We've been calling you for over two minutes!"

"What is going on...?" I said curiously to the others.

*Mina's PoV, secret ice cave deep within the underground castle*

Erika, Ryo, Mari, and I find ourselves in some sort of a weird ice cavern. It was freezing cold up to the point we can see our breaths. This has to be some random place within this castle...

"Why is it so freezing in here?" Erika said, crossing her arms, trying to get some warmth.

"Probably because Yami wants us to die of hypothermia or somethin'?" Ryo said, looking around.

"Hey, Mina. Can't you summon fire or something?" Mari asked.

"No, I don't summon fire. I summon light. But it's far too cold in here to summon the power itself." I stated.

"Awww, man..." Ryo said in an unhappy tone.

"Well, it seems like your time of end has arrived..."

I looked at the direction of the voice and there stood....

Itsuki Inoue?!

But he did look a bit different. His eyes were dull, and he was looking at us with a sinister smirk on his face.

That is not him... This is an illusion that Yami is creating to keep us from getting to where Lily is.

"Why is Itsuki here? Didn't he die already?" Mari said in a confused tone, her eyes looking at him in surprise.

Itsuki took out his double daggers and pointed them at us.

"...I have only one mission: and that is to kill the lot of you so you won't get in Lily-sama's way."

"Stop referring Lily like that! She has nothing to do with your ridiculous plans

*Takuma's PoV, in the labyrinths of the castle*

Hiroki, Daisuke, Shiki, and I end up in some sort of maze in the underground castle.

"What the hell is this..." Daisuke said, looking around.

"Honestly, how can one dwell within this castle? It's so boring.." Shiki said.

"Anyways, we need to find our way out of here and find the others. Their intention is to split us up and kill us one by one." I stated.

"Ichijo-san, everyone!"

I heard Ruka's voice echo, and then I noticed that her, Rima, Zero, and Ichiru were running up to us.

"You guys!" Hiroki called out.

"What is going on here?" Ichiru said, looking around the area.

"It seems that Yami decided to split us all up to kill us one by one. I don't what he has in store for us, but..." I then stopped my words.

I think what Yami is trying to do is break down Kaname's emotion barrier to weaken him and kill him while taking control of Lily's body. But I do not think Kaname is the kind of person that falls so easily to these kind of things... But if it comes to Lily, I don't know if he is going to give it all he has...

"It's been awhile, everyone! I can't believe it's really you!" A very cheerful voice echoed around the area.

I followed the voice, and there stood Yuuki, who was dressed in a tattered Day Class uniform, carrying her Artemis, which resembles Lily's, only it was a silver color.

"Yuuki?! Didn't Kaname kill her?!" Hiroki said, his eyes widened, speaking in a surprised tone

"Don't fall for it. She is just an illusion Yami created. But be cautious everyone. We have to fight it." I stated.

Yuuki got in a fighting stance and prepared to fight us.

"You all are going to die right here, right now!" She hissed, attacking us.

*Kaname's PoV*

Seira had explained to me what was going on, that the same thing had happened to them as well, that it wasn't just me.

"So what you all are trying to explain to me is that there is some illusion Ayakashi monster around her that makes us see our worst fears?" I asked.

"Yes... From what you told us, we had the same experience as well when we got transported here." Seira explained.

"What did you see?" I asked.

Seira looked away sadly. "....Lily's funeral. She was laying down on a coffin, lifeless, and you, Kaname... right after the funeral, you committed suicide by stabbing yourself with your sword deep into your heart. I saw everything from a distance. Then I saw that Hana was killed and he told me to kill myself to go with him."  She said in a low, upset tone.

Aido embraced Seira tightly, as if protecting her.

"Did you guys like the little show I put for you all?" A very familiar voice called out to us.

Two pairs of footsteps were heard approaching us from the shadows. Two eyes of the opposite color were glowing within the shadows. When they stepped out, it was both Rido and Lily, who's body is taken over by Yami, carrying Golden Artemis. Just seeing that sinister face on her... It hurts me so much to see Lily like this. I noticed that there was bags under her eyes, meaning she is very tired. I can't believe this bastard. He has no respect at all...

"It seems like those illusions didn't work on them, my lady." Rido said, bowing to Lily.

"Heh. It's normal. After all, some of these people here have a deep connection to this girl... Especially... this man over here." Yami said, looking over at me, making a fake smile.

This is not Lily. This is Yami, who is trying to play around with my feelings. Yami must have created some sort of illusion of Rido with his strengths and such. Because once you die, you can never come back to life.

"Hey, Rido... can you take care of the others? I'll take care of my precious lover." Yami said in a sarcastic tone.

"Keiji ,stop this! This isn't you! The real you is-" Michiko was then interrupted by a loud, angry voice.

"SHUT UP! This is the real me! I am not that man you loved years ago! I have a new thing to accomplish in my life, and that is to kill Kaname Kuran!" Yami said, taking Golden Artemis, attempting to attack me with it by raising it up high.

I quickly dodged it, and noticed that Yami is not giving it his all. The real Lily must be holding back deep inside.

"This little girl... How dare she..." Yami was just standing there, trying to regain control of Lily's body. As Yami was doing that, I heard someone whisper to me.

"E-excuse me..." A very shy voice called to me from behind.

I turned around and some maid was peeking from a pillar.

"What do you want?" I asked, turned around.

"T-take this.... It will help you." The young girl said nervously, handing out a red necklace.

"This will banish Yami from her body as long as she wears this. If you can manage this to put this on..."

"T-That's it! I'm going to end this world now!" Yami screamed loudly in Lily's voice.

The area began to shake and rocks began to fall from the roof.

"Just take it! Trust me! That girl...that girl has been waiting for you for these past few days! Believing that you would return for her! So..please...just take it!" She said in a begging tone.

She threw the necklace over to me and I caught it. I saw that everyone was still fighting the Rido illusion.

"You traitor!" Yami hissed, running in my direction, stabbing the girl, killing her.

"Die, just die!" He said, holding Golden Artemis uncontrollably trying to get me. Lily is fighting. I don't know if she wants me to turn her into a vampire, but I want her by my side. Without her, my life truly has no meaning to it. If Lily ceased to exist, I would gladly take my life and leave with her to the next world, whether it is Heaven or even Hell.

I need to try to reach her. Lily's feelings... are still there somewhere. I don't think it's 12 a.m. just yet.

"Seira! What is the time?!" I said in a loud voice, calling out to her as I continued dodging Yami's attacks.

"It's currently..." She then looked at her watch as she continued dodging Rido's attacks.

"11:45 p.m!" She said out loud.

15 minutes left until the full blood moon reveals itself on the sky... I have to talk.

"Lily... I need you to please wake up. I know you must be feeling a lot of pain right now, but being under Yami's control isn't going to solve anything." I stated in a sincere tone, trying to get my words to reach her heart.

"That girl is gone... She won't listen to you. My presence within her is soothing the pain she carries from her curse.Now why don't you do me a favor and just die, Kaname Kuran?" Yami said, holding up Golden Artemis, forcibly bringing it down over me.

However I took the sword that I carried and blocked Yami's attack.

"I know it hurts. I know I don't understand pain as much as you do. But believe me when I say this when I was in your body, I have experience with that pain that you always been through... But don't you remember what we talked about? That we would fight this together, that we would make it though this together. For the future of our unborn children." I stated.

For a second, I saw Lily's genuine face and she quickly stepped back.

"K-Kaname.. No matter what happens, I want to be with you, forever. So no matter what, do whatever it takes so that we can be together. R-Right now... I just want you to be by my side after midnight... I love you..."

I smiled and strengthened my grip on this sword that continued to emit lightning from it. Then will she accept the destiny I give her? Will she accept the fact that I am about to change her destiny...?

Then Yami took control again and held Golden Artemis up high.

"Die!" Yami screamed once again.

*Mina's PoV*

It took us quite a while to defeat the illusion of Itsuki, but we were eventually able to defeat him. We quickly ran to the throne room. This place was beginning to collapse. When we fought the illusion of Itsuki, it was a bit hard to defeat, because it was the illusion was basically projected from Itsuki's powers and strength.

"What's the time?!" I said loudly.

"11:50 pm!" Ryo answered.

"Dammit! We have 10 minutes left! We have to get there and help Kaname and the others before it is too late!" I stated in a very loud tone.

The ground continued to shake and the roof slowly began to collapse. This can't be the end... Lily cannot let this happen. She cannot die and just let Yami get away with it. I wonder if talking through mind links still works...

"Guys, I think trying to mind link with her still may work. Her conscience is what will respond, not Yami."

"How is that..?" One of them said.

"Don't you all remember that during the time of the ancestors, we were able to communicate each other telepathically using our conscience?"

"Oh, that's right!" Mari said.

As we continued running to escape the ice caverns, I tried communicating with Lily's conscience.

"Lily? Lily? I need you to respond if you can hear me."

"Mina...?"

I heard Lily's soft voice, but in a weakened tone.

"Lily, why are you letting Yami do this?"

"I'm not! I'm trying to break free, but no matter what I do, I just can't! I only was able to for a short amount of time!" She said sadly.

"Lily, you're stronger than you think. Even though it hurts, you have to hang in there. It's almost the Blood Moon. You must let Kaname bite you and turn you into a vampire."

'What?!"

"That is what is stated in the scroll. Do you want to be with him or not? Because you knew it would eventually come to this. Eventually, you would die of old age and Kaname would remain alive in the same way he looks now."

It was silent for a time, but Lily eventually spoke. "...I would end up becoming a Level E. I don't want that... I don't want to become a monster..." She said in a soft tone.

"...You will not become a Level E. You will simply become what your family was centuries ago. A Pureblood vampire. You will be like Kaname, and you two can be together, eternally." I stated.

"How is that even possible...?"

"Like you stated, you carry blood similar to a Pureblood's. If you become a vampire, your blood will revert to the blood of a Pureblood. If someone from your family gets bitten on the night of the Full Blood Moon, they will turn into a Pureblood vampire, not a Level E."

There was once again silence.

"All right. I will take the risk. I really do want to be with him.... My precious Kaname..." She said in a sad tone.

"Then try to break free, Lily. Don't fall to Yami's powers.. If you hear Kaname's voice call out to you, then follow it. Don't fall to the darkness..." I said.

She laughed.

"I won't..."

The communication with Lily then ended. We have to get there faster...

*Takuma's PoV*

In less than a few minutes, we were able to defeat the illusion of Yuuki. It was hard for us to defeat her emotionally because even though she is gone, she was someone that was once close to us. She tried many ways to defeat us, but Zero ended up doing the final blow. All of us were actually surprised because Zero is probably the last person who would even think about killing Yuuki.

As we were running on our way to the castle's throne room, many different things were on my mind. There is only about 8 minutes left. We have to hurry and see what is going on behind those doors. Are the others okay? Who are they even going up against? I really hope things are going as planned...

"Ne, Ichijo-san... Do you think Lily is going to make it?  Time is running out, and the ground continues yet to shake." Shiki said.

"There is hope. I believe that there is. I believe that destiny can be changed and Kaname will not kill Lily." I stated confidently.

"That's correct. I will never give up on her. She is stronger than this." Zero said confidently.

Rubble continued to fall from the roof and it was now when we finally made it to Yami's throne room and banged the door open.

*Kaname's PoV*

I continued fighting. I noticed that the others had finished defeating Rido's illusion and they were just standing there, watching the confrontation. I noticed that Mina and the others have arrived as well, along with Ichijo, Kiryu, and the other Night Class students

"Just give up, Kaname. Die along with Lily Adachi, and just get out of my sight."

I know... time is running out. I need to do this as soon as possible. I have to risk it. I dropped the sword and slowly began walking over to Lily.

"So.. you are finally going to accept your fate now? I'm glad we can finally see eye to eye on something. That this girl cannot escape her destiny."

"You know... Lily's conscience is still within her body. You understand that, don't you?"

"Of course I do. But once the clock strikes midnight, she will die if don't leave her body, You understand that as well, don't you Kaname?"

"That's right. That is why I want to say my goodbyes to her."

"Heh...Really now? Fine then. It's 11:58 anyways. There is no longer anything the lot of you can do."

I then noticed Lily dropped Golden Artemis and bent down to the floor, slowly looking at me with a pained look on her face. Her face was ghastly pale and her body felt cold. I then ran up to her and embraced her tightly.

"Kaname..."

"Shhh... Don't worry. Everything is going to be ok, alright? This isn't over. I'm here."

"Time is running out. I'm going back!" Yami turned into black mist and was making his way back. I quickly slipped on the ruby red necklace that the maid girl had given me. When Yami tried to go in Lily, a shield had surrounded her, protecting her.

"You fool. Have you forgotten that I had the necklace with me?" I stated with a smirk.

"Why you son of a-"

The others stood in front of us.

"Hurry, Kuran. Do what you have to do. Save Lily." Zero stated, looking back at me.

"We'll take it from here. Just go and save our sister!" Seira said, looking at me, along with Hiroki and Daisuke nodding in agreement.

Everyone nodded as well, and I left the throne room, carrying Lily in my arms.

"Kuran! You bastard!" Yami yelled as we exited the throne room.

*play the song*

"Kaname...what are you going to do? Are you going to turn me into a vampire as Mina told me?" Lily said in a soft, quiet voice.

"I promised you that I would save you, no matter what. So I want you to trust me. After today and for all eternity, I will be be your side. You're going to be okay. I will be with you every step of the way. This will be a bit more painful but after today, you will never feel the pain that you are feeling now ever again."

I was able to make it outside, and the full blood moon was shining brightly in the sky. I have a source of her power with me... I looked at the good luck charm she had given me, which still rests on my wrist.

I smiled warmly at her.

"Just close your eyes. And when you open them again, you're going to see that everything is okay."

With my eyes glowing red, I slowly made my way to Lily's neck. And with that, my fangs pierced her neck.

Lily screamed in pain, and her cries echoed throughout the area. It hurt me so much to hear her like this, but... This is to save her. For the first time in my life, I was finally able to take some of Lily's blood. It tastes very sweet...

I then retracted my fangs and dropped the some of my blood on the source of her power, the good luck bracelet she had given me.

It faintly glowed and became an even bigger glow.

*Michiko's PoV*

I looked at Keiji and he looked angry.

"My plan... everything has fallen to ruin. And it's all because of all of you! I hate you all..." He said angrily.

"No... Keiji, I'm sure you-"

"Save it, Michiko. You don't need someone like me in your life. I told you before. I'm not the man you remember."

"That...that doesn't matter! Even so, I still love you, and I want to be with you, despite the wrongs you have done!"

"You truly are a fool. You would even go to the depths of hell with me?"

Of course... As long as it's with him...

"Anywhere." I stated.

"Then if that's the case, disappear with me."

Everyone, including me, looked confused.

"What are you talking about?"

"I'm saying that you and I should go to a place where we will never be seen again. Just you and I. My feelings for you haven't changed either... I want to be with you as well, Michiko."

"Keiji..."

I slowly started walking towards him.

"Oi, Michiko! What are you.." Zero called out to me.

"I'm leaving...with him. This way..things will be back to the way they were. And we can all be happy. There won't be anymore sadness, nothing... Just hang in there, everyone. Everything is going to be okay."

I slowly continued walking over to Keiji... The one I've been waiting for all these years.

I then stopped and turned around, looking at everyone one last time.

"One more thing... Tell my parents that I'm sorry. But this is something I want to do." I said with a smile.

I then turned around, looking over at Keiji once again.

"No more hatred, Keiji. I'm here with you now. There is no more reason for you to feel this way. "

"Michiko.."

"You are no longer alone. I will be by your side. Forever and always..." I said, taking both of his hands.

"Thank you, Michiko..."

Hands intertwined, the both of us disappeared within the castle as the roof kept falling apart.

*Zero's PoV*

This was the last time we saw Michiko and Yami both. The both of them disappeared, only to never be seen again...

"Come on! We have to go find Kaname and Lily!" Seira said worriedly.

"They must be outside! Let's hurry and get out of here!" Ichiru said.

"I know a shortcut. Let's take this way!" Akatsuki said.

All of us then our made our way out into the woods. Kuran must have done it. He turned Lily into a vampire to stop the destruction of the world. Now she's well on her way to become a Level E..

When we finally reached outside, we were greeted by a glowing light that was blinding... what is going on here...?

*Lily's PoV*

I felt like I was floating in the air, and that the red string of destiny was slowly bringing me to my death, to the world where only spirits exist...It seems like no matter how hard I tried, my destiny couldn't be changed.

"It's not over, Lily. Do you really think I gave up on you? You are terribly mistaken..." Kaname's voice echoed.

I opened my eyes, looking down and stopped floating, looking down.

My eyes widened and I saw Kaname floating up to me, carrying a pair of golden scissors.

"I kept my promise. I changed your destiny." He said, cutting the string that attached me to death.

"From now on and all eternity, our destinies are shared." Kaname said with a smile.

I noticed that he had a red string tied to him as well, but it wasn't attached to anything.

I then noticed that he tied both red strings together.

"It's now you and I from now on, against the world." Kaname stated.

I smiled. "Yes!"

The both of us then shared a soft, but passionate kiss and the next thing I knew everything glowed again.

"Congratulations, Lily, Kaname. You changed your destinies." Amaterasu said, standing in front of us.

"How... Was this the only way out?" I stated curiously.

"Yes, very much so. As stated previously, the Adachi family once existed as a family of pureblood vampires decades before Kira Adachi was even born. But eventually, they evolved to humans born with special powers and if they happened to get bitten by a pureblood vampire on the night of the full blood moon, then this would be the result. If Kaname hadn't bitten you, then he wouldn't have no other choice but to kill you." Amaterasu stated in an honest tone.

"Really. Well, I am glad I did the right thing. However, Lily... I'm sorry for doing that without even thinking about your decision." Kaname said, looking down.

I shook my head. "It's okay... As long as I get to be with you, it doesn't matter whether I am vampire or human. Plus... If I stayed human, then I would eventually turn into an old hag..." I said.

Kaname chuckled. "Hehe, I guess you are right about that."

"Well, you two should be going back to your bodies. Being away from them too long can be risky."

"All right... Thank you, Amaterasu..." I said happily. 

"You as well, Lily." He said with a smile. "And.. one more thing...before you go, there is someone who wants to see you."

Behind Amaterasu, appeared one of his servants wearing a white cloak. When he removed the hood, I was surprised to who it was.

"Dad?!" I said in a surprised tone.

My father, Kazuki Adachi stood behind Amaterasu, with a carefree smile on his face.

"Lily... my little girl! Come give your old pops a hug!" He said, holding his arms out to me.

I ran up to him and hugged him, wailing like a little child.

"I'm glad that you didn't give up your life like that. Happy 18th birthday, my princess." He said, ruffling my hair.

I forgot that it was actually my birthday since so much was going on.

"I'm actually granting you a gift, Lily. I will bring your father back to life as a birthday gift from me. I apologize to what has happened all these years." Amaterasu stated with a smile on his face.

I wiped the tears from my face. "W-what?"

"It's not allowed here in Takamagahara...But I will do it. You deserve a life of happiness." He said with a smile.

"That's great, isn't it Lily?" Kaname said.

"Yes, yes! I'm so happy! Thank you so much! Now I can be with the people I love!" I said happily.

And with that, a huge glow covered my surroundings.

"Welcome to the world of darkness, Lily...." Kaname's voice echoed around me.

Finally, the peace has returned and I'm still alive, reawakened as a pureblood vampire....
