*Seira's PoV*

The bell to lunch rang, and I was making my way to the lunchroom, until I saw Hanabusa hiding behind a pillar, telling me to go where he was.

I smiled, and made my way there to where he was.

"Now this I don't see every day. Hehe... What brings you here, Hanabusa?" I said as I embraced him.

"Just came here to see my little rosebud." He said, giving me a peck in the lips.

"Aww, how sweet... I didn't know you can be so cute, Hana...." I said, caressing his cheek.

He blushed and looked away. "Now you're giving me nicknames?"

"Yeah!" I said cheerfully as I took both of his hands.

"Hey... Can we talk somewhere private? There's something I need to tell you. But you might be mad at me, however you need to listen to my explanation." He said in a serious tone.

Oh no... Why is he talking so seriously?

Hanabusa took me somewhere where no Day Class girls can see us, which was the back of the school.

"Listen Seira, I told Lord Kaname about Lily."

My eyes widened.

"Why?! We both told you specifically not to say anything! Hana, you promised!"

"Hear me out, Seira. I did it for their sake. Don't you want Lily to be happy again? Like you and I are now?" He said, holding my hands a bit tighter.

"I do, but..."

He is Yuuki's fiancé. They cannot be together...

"You told your grandfather that you would be with me no matter what and help both Lord Kaname and Lily be together. Don't you think now is the crucial time to help them, especially when Lily is carrying his children? This is the time they have to be together, more than ever!"

"Hanabusa..." I said.

"You more than anyone wishes for Lily's happiness, don't you?" He added.

"Yes, I do."

"Then let's help them meet up. Tell Lily to meet you somewhere where it isn't vampire hunter territory. Then the person there that will appear instead of you will be Lord Kaname. Lily will end up staying there with him, and they will end up talking it over. Easy, right?"

"I think so... " I said.

"What, you're doubting your hot boyfriend?" He said proudly.

"No..." I said with a quiet giggle. "But... I don't know, I have this feeling in my heart that those two are going to meet face to face soon, and very soon. We should stay on the sidelines for now." I said.

"I understand, then. You do have a point. Well, I should be getting back to the Moon Dorms, before the fangirls find me." He said.

"Hey... While your here, why don't we just spend some time together?" I said with a blush.

He smirked. "Yeah, and maybe while we're at it, share a teeny bit of your blood with me?" He said, his eyes glowing red.

"Not here, crazy. Be patient, alright?" I said, giving him a quick kiss on the lips.

"No, no! Not enough..." He said as he gently brought me against the wall, kissing me passionately.

When we parted our lips, I giggled a bit.

"You've grown bold, Hana."

"I've always been like this." He said proudly.

"I can see that..." I said.

"We can meet tonight, alright?" He said. "Plus, I'm tired..." He added yawning.

"Alright..." I said.

"Hey, don't give me that face. I'll make it up to you by giving you lots of love!"

I pouted. "Fiiine."

He smiled and went in the direction back to the Moon Dorms.

In the distance, I heard chuckles. I looked back, and I saw Daisuke and Hiroki.

"Ugh! Daisuke, Hiroki! Why don't you all mind your own business!"

"She's on to us! Run, Hiroki!" I heard Daisuke say.

"Come back, ya nosy bastards!" I said, chasing them.

I ran throughout the academy's terrace trying to catch my annoying brothers.

*Lily's PoV*
"Miss Lily, what a rare opportunity it is to see you here! What can I help you with?" The Association President said.

"I just came here to see if there is any other vampires on the hunter's list that you would like me to kill. I can only do Shizuka's at night, and it has been quite a while since I've done vampire hunter jobs."

"Miss Lily. I gave you one mission because of your condition. If you continue to kill vampires that have committed sins, you will suffer pain. I recommend you just hold back and relax and focus on that one mission."

I'm already in pain with what happened. This shouldn't even hurt me a bit.

"I insist. Give me a mission. Don't worry about my health. I'll worry about it myself." I said emotionlessly.

He looked away. "If you insist..There is a group of hunters right now preparing for a mission lead by Yagari Toga. If you would like.."

I stood up from my seat. "Gladly. I will take my leave." I said, leaving the office.

I ran down the hallways to where the other hunters were meeting.

I saw Yagari and the other hunters near the entrance, preparing their weapons.

"Wait! I'm coming with you guys as well!" I said, calling out to them.

"Lily?" One of the hunters said curiously.

"Don't worry! The president already approved of it!"

"You don't know what your gettin' yourself into missy. This mission is to kill a noble from the vampire council, who killed a human from behind the shadows. We are still depicting who's going to do the final blow."

"Let me do it." I said.

They all widened their eyes, but then smiled.

"As expected of a member of the noble Adachi family... All right then. Lily, you are in charge of finishing it all off. His villa is heavily guarded, so we'll be taking care of the guards." Yagari said.

I smiled. "Thank you."

Killing a human is a grave sin... If I kill this vampire, it's another painful sin to bear, but...

"All right then... Let's go!" Yagari shouted.

We all nodded our heads and made our way out of the Association's building.

*Kaname's PoV*

I attempted to sleep, but I simply could not. I could not stop thinking about Lily. What could she be doing right now...?

I then heard a knock on the door.

"Lord Kaname. It's me, Akatsuki. I have something that I must report to you."

"Of course. Come right in." I said as I sat to the bedside."

"I'm so very sorry to interrupt your rest, but... We have very important news regarding Lily..."

My eyes widened and I immediately went to my serious expression and stood up from my bed.

"What is it?"

"Lily is going along with a band of vampire hunters to kill someone from the Senate, who is reported to have killed a human within the shadows. Our sources say she will be the one to kill him."

What is she doing?! Is she trying to burden herself!?

"I'm going."

"Lord Kaname, you shouldn't bring attention to yourself. They'll-"

"I will for her."

"She really means a lot to you, doesn't she..."

"Yes, she does. She means so much to me. And this time, I'm speaking from my heart. Not when I told you that Yuuki was my world. That was untrue."

He smiled. "Save her from the depths of sadness, Lord Kaname."

"I will, I promise you that. I will fix what Yuuki started." I stated.

*Lily's PoV*

We were arriving to the noble's villa, and honestly, I'm a bit nervous. I haven't done this in a while...

It was a peaceful afternoon, and the sun was already setting. It was very cold. The only thing that was keeping me warm was the cloak I was wearing over myself.

"Nervous, Lily?" Yagari, who was walking next to me asked me.

"A teeny bit. But it's probably because I haven't done this in a while."

"It'll be fine. Have confidence in yourself."

I smiled. "Yeah... you're right."

Ahead was the villa. And it was as Yagari had said. It's heavily guarded by Level C vampire guards.

"You know the drill, everyone. Let's go!" Yagari said.

All of us then ran to the villa in sync, and I ran straight for the entrance, where that man was hiding himself. He'll pay for taking away the life of an innocent being...

There were some guards inside.

"There she is! Stop her!"

I have no choice... There's too many of them...

"Golden Artemis, come forth!"

The weapon appeared, and with one swing, I killed them all. I felt a small sting within my chest, but I ignored it, as I continuing to run up the stairs to the man's office. I kicked open the door, and there he was, attempting to escape. The villa has already caught on fire.

"Hehe... So they sent a little girl like you to kill me? How preposterous. I could kill you in less than two seconds." He said, his eyes glowing red, making the floating objects around him go to me.

However, with Golden Artemis, I slashed them all into pieces.

"My name is Lily Adachi. You are on the hunters' "to kill" list because of killing an innocent human. I will be the one to end your life." I said as I pointed Artemis at him.

"Adachi, huh... So you are the cursed one aren't you? How sad. You do know if you kill me, you will bear yet another sin."

"I've killed quite a few people in this job, and I continue to bear their sins. Killing you is no difference to me." I said.

"It's going to be painful, lady!" He said lunging over to me for an attack however, I was able to dodge it and I swung Artemis, however, he dodged it as well.

The flames began engulfing the room. I will complete this mission! I will kill this man for doing wrong!

"One of us here is going to die, and I'm sure as hell that it's going to be you!" He said, using his lightning powers.

I deflected his attack, covering myself with Golden Artemis. He's so powerful.... I can't... hold..it...any longer...

Before I knew it, I flew across the room, and jumped against a wall, safely landing back on the ground.

"You're a tough one." I said, wiping the blood from the scratch that was formed on my cheek.

"I sense something from you. You're seem heartbroken, and you're converting that sadness to anger. You're fighting with anger as your motivation. You want to kill me not only to do what you were sent to do, but also because you want to let that go. Heh. Go ahead. Free your anger, Miss Adachi. I know I was going to die eventually. I'm done fighting you." He said raising both of his hands up.

"What?" I said in a confused tone.

"You heard me. Just complete your mission already."

My hands clutched into fists. That's right. I came here to complete this mission... To kill this man.

He sensed it and he knows my purpose.

I raised my head, and to what happened the other night came to mind.

Anger boiled within me, and I raised my weapon to him.

I screamed in anger, raising Artemis and running in his direction.

I slashed his chest and blood spattered into my face.

The man then faded into pieces of dust.

I crouched to the ground, feeling the pain run through my body.

It's worse than I thought it would be... My chest is burning.

Around me were flames. There was no way for me to escape.

I guess.... This is the end for me. Tears ran down my eyes. Everywhere I looked there was no way to escape. I don't care if I was a replacement for her... I can't forget those happy times we shared.

"Lily! Lily!" I heard the echoing of the hunters calling me in the distance.

Then through the tears that were falling down through my face, I saw the shadow of a man passing through the flames, not burning himself.

"Lily...I'm here for you, no matter how much you say you hate me... I will always be here for you, my love..."

I slowly closed my eyes, and before I went unconscious, I felt a pair of arms take me.

I noticed that drops of water fell into my face...That isn't water... Those are tears...

"I cannot believe you did this to yourself. You're so reckless. I'm so sorry...."

After I heard those words, I fell unconscious.

*Third person PoV*

The hunters stood outside, worried about Lily, who didn't leave the villa, that was engulfed in flames.

"There's no way in... It's completely covered in flames!" One of the hunters said.

"That girl! She should have just escaped instead of fighting him!" Yagari said.

"Can one of you please tell me where she's staying at?" A man that was standing in the shadows said.

"Who are you?!" One of the hunters had said, pointing his gun at them.

"Relax. She's alright. I'm just going to take her back to the place she is staying." He said, stepping out carrying the unconscious Lily in his arms.

"Kaname Kuran. What a surprise to find you here. Did you come as their backup?"

He smirked. "Actually no. Quite the opposite. I originally came here to stop her from doing this, but unfortunately it was too late for me, and thank goodness I got here in time to save her."

"What is your relationship with Lily if you would go so much as far as saving her?" Yagari said.

He looked with a sad smile looking down at her pale face.

"She is my precious one. My lover." He stated.

"What?! Lily...and you?!" Yagari said with a surprised expression.

"So you were the boyfriend she was not doin' well with..." Ichiya said.

"It's far too much to explain. We can save it for next time. Now, can you please tell me?"

The hunters looked at each other and nodded.

"It's an inn in town...not too far from here..."

The hunters gave Kaname instructions where Lily was staying and he was on his way back to town.

*Lily's PoV*

Blue skies.... white clouds. That is all I see in my surroundings.

I felt a very gentle wind. It was cold nor hot. It was a very pleasant warm one.

I can feel myself floating in the skies. I studied myself and I was wearing a strapless flowing white dress.

Am I dead....? Is this my end?

"Not yet..."

I heard a very deep, commanding voice.

In front of me, he appeared. A face I haven't seen in many years, in a lifetime.

"Amaterasu..."

"You haven't changed a bit, Kira. You still are the same woman from 9,000 years ago."

"...Why am I here? Is this Takamagahara?"

"No... You're a spirit currently. Takamagahara is a place that is home to humans born with special powers. This is actually the other world, where the dead are."

"It's beautiful..."

"And you'll get to be here on the night of your birthday eternally. With your father, your grandmother, and your aunt.."

"...No I won't. Part of the curse states that after death, my soul will be forever connected to my eternal soulmate's. And plus... I have no intention to die!

"He can free you if he lets you go. And, Lily. You should know by now that that is your destiny. Did you not just see what happened to you in that villa after you killed that vampire? His sins flowed into you. And that wasn't even close to the pain you are eventually going to feel. You must prepare yourself. The spirits here will welcome you with open arms."

"No one believes in me, huh... Everyone thinks that I'm just going to die..."

"I haven't given up on you. Your siblings haven't, the headmaster, the Night Class, and as much as I loathe to say it, Kiryu hasn't given up on you either. Please do not cry. It hurts me so much..."

Kaname's words echoed in my head.

"Lily... Death doesn't mean goodbye. It's a transformation. You become immortal. Free of pain and suffering..."

"It doesn't matter. Those children have to live. And as much anger as I have towards him now...  I just can't leave him alone."

"Ah, yes... I forgot that you are pregnant with two of his children... Since you carry blood that is similar to Purebloods, you would end up giving birth to pureblood children."

"Please, Amaterasu... If there's any way I can save myself from this curse, please tell me."

He shook his head.

"Once a curse is placed, it can no longer be removed. You and him must find an alternative yourselves if you have that much desire to live...."

With that said, everything went white...

I slowly open my eyes, looking around.

I'm back in my room back at the inn, laying in bed. But how? I was wearing my nightgown and I was clean of the blood that was on me.

I feel something cold on my forehead...

I touched it and it was a cold cloth. Who did this?

"What...?" I said quietly, slowly getting up from bed.

"Rest a bit longer. You still are recovering." Two hands then gently brought me down back down to bed.

I looked to my side, and there I saw him...

"Kaname, why...? Why are you here with me? I said that it's ov-"

"Please, don't say that it's over..." I saw that his eyes were somewhat tearing up.

What... is he crying? He never does that in front of anyone, not even me...

I looked away.

"What about Yuuki? Wouldn't she be lonely if you weren't by her side?"

"Lily. I love you, not her. Last night, I received the proof of engagement from the Senate... I burnt it to a crisp."

My eyes widened. "You what?"

Happiness welled in me, but I was still a bit angry with him.

"Then, why? Why did you turn her back to a vampire? Why did you stay silent that night? Why did you kiss her!? That hurt me, Kaname! A lot!"

"She had the right to know her past. She was in pain, and she could have had a breakdown. I had to do something before it was too late. I was giving her blood. Not kissing her. I never intended to hurt you, Lily. I swear it. I'm sorry. I'm so very sorry. I do not want to lose you again..."

I looked at him. He had a sad face, and tears began falling through his cheeks.

My eyes widened as tears started to flow out of my own eyes.

He took my hand with both of his, which were trembling. He had his head down.

"I want you to please...please just this once forgive me. I know it may be hard. But I want to be with you. You are the only precious one in my life."

"Kaname, I thought purebloods don't shed tears in front of others." I said in a soft voice, wiping the tears that fell from his eyes.

He took the hand that I used to wipe his tears.

"If it involves you, then I wouldn't hold back on them. Lily, I should have told you from the start. That is something that I deeply regret. I thought that it wasn't necessary."

"Well, it was necessary. Because trust is key in a relationship. Between us, there shouldn't be any secrets. Am I right?"

"Yes you are absolutely correct. You had a right to know everything. When I heard from Kain that you were going on this insane mission, I couldn't allow it. And when I saw you passed out within the flames, I knew that all of this that happened is my fault. All I ask is for you to give me another chance. I promise I will do better for you and..."

He then rubbed my belly with his hand.

"For our future children... If you give me another chance. I promise... I will never make you cry again."

"Kaname..."

His eyes were looking right into mine. The way he spoke to me was sincere... He cried in front of me..
Plus, his hands were trembling when they held my hand. Not one man from my past has ever done the things that Kaname has done...

Plus he saved me, meaning he really does love me. Because if he didn't, he wouldn't care.

I put my hand on his.

"I...guess I'll forgive you just this once. Because even though I tried to forget you, I just couldn't. You stole my heart and I'm pretty sure you aren't going to give it back, aren't you?" I said.

"Of course I'm not. And you have mine, and I don't think you're willing to give it back either, right?"

"I guess so..." I said with a smile, sitting up from bed removing the cloth.

"I will trust you one more time. Because I love you, Kaname. I know that when you regret something, you genuinely do."  I added.

Kaname embraced me tightly after those words.

"Thank you, Lily. Truly, thank you..." He said

I gently brought my arms around him, returning his embrace.

The tears fell out from my eyes. But this time, it wasn't tears of sadness. It was happiness.

The both of us broke from the embrace and looked at each other deeply. He wiped my tears and like magnets, our faces were being brought closer, until we met for a kiss.

Kaname's kiss was sweet and gentle. Something that I missed very much.

"May I stay here with you tonight?"

"Yes, you may." I said with a giggle.

"And one more thing, Lily."

"Yes?"

"Please... Don't ever run away from me again. You don't know how that hurt me."

"Then one more thing, Kaname. Let's never keep secrets from each other again. Simply that can just avoid us pain."

"All right. Then it's a promise." He said with a smile.

"By the way. How did you pass through those flames without getting burnt? That's impossible, even for a pureblood such as you."

"Thanks to you."

I looked at him confused. "Me?"

"That good luck bracelet you gave me... It protected me. It seems that your powers took action." He said, rolling up cuffs.

He had it all this time...

"Well... of course it is. It's supposed to protect you. I really did put a protection spell on it. I just can't believe you had it on this whole time..." I said surprisingly.

"I did tell you that I would treasure it, didn't I?" He said.

"Yeah. You did." I said happily.

"Now, you need to rest. It was a very rough mission, if I didn't appear in time, you would have died."

I laid in bed by his side. "I was angry..."

"Hmmm?"

"I did that mission to let all that anger and sadness in my heart go. I didn't intend to die."

"Lily... You went as far as... Oh my goodness. Really, I committed the biggest mistake of my lifetime."

He moved me closer to him, my head resting on his chest.

"You apologized many times already. And it's my fault as well. I should have escaped when things were getting worse."

"Just don't be that reckless again. They may be very small now, but you have our children in there. You shouldn't force yourself that much."

I sighed. "I won't, don't worry... But I talked to the Headmaster before the mission, and I told him I would be gone tomorrow as well. Plus I so have another night here, so..."

"We can find something to do tomorrow."

"Don't you have Night Class to worry about?"

"Ichijo is taking care of it."

"Hehe, of course.."

There was silence after that, and I just ended falling asleep in his arms.

Dad, for the first time in my life I forgave my lover. I hope, no. I know things are going to get better between us.

*Yuuki's PoV*

"So yeah. I was told to tell that to you, Lady Yuuki. Just so you know." Rima said to me.

Why...? I can't believe that their relationship is going so far... To think, that wretch is pregnant with Kaname's children! It pisses me off!

"Why are you so angry anyways? He's no longer your fiancé. You have no ties to him. The only tie you two have is that he is your ancestor, and you are his descendant. Nothing else."

"I love Kaname! Can't no one understand that?!"

"From what I heard, I thought you loved Zero."

"It's complicated right now.... I love both of them."

"Please excuse my rudeness, but you are sick. From what you're telling me, you sound like a whore."

My eyes widened.

"W-why would you say that?" I stuttered.

"You don't even know what it is, huh... Well, Lord Kaname is lucky that he moved on with a woman that loves him and only him. You on the other hand, can't be trusted. First thing, you're with Zero, and the next Lord Kaname? I'm sure Zero will eventually find someone that isn't you."

"Y-you're wrong, Rima! Zero will eventually come to me!"

"In your dreams, sweetie. Well, I'm bored. Good night."  She said as she stepped out of the room.

"So... now they all think I'm the villain, huh... I'm simply just fighting to try to get the men I love back..." I said to myself.

Lily Adachi, a girl loved by all, but someone who's life will eventually come to an end. And I will be waiting for that day...
