*Lily's PoV, 9,000 years ago*

Note: Italics are Lily's thoughts.

"Eiichi.. What is going on now?" Kira said.

"Many vampire hunters are dying... The vampires are winning. We have to step in and stop this war before things take a turn for the worse..." He said.

Kaname did tell me there was a war during this time...

Kira got up from her bed, looking out the window. "I'm going for a walk. I need to think some things through. This war has to end without the vampires and vampire hunters getting hurt. Fighting isn't going to solve anything. Even if the vampires are our enemies, we have to end this peacefully. That's one of the reasons why we descended from Takamagahara." Kira said.

Kira may have considered vampires to be her enemy, but she never wanted to end the war by simply killing them.

"Would you like me to accompany you, Kira?" Eiichi said with a smile.

"No it's fine. I need to think this through alone. I'll see you later, ok?" Kira said, making her way out of the room.

To think that he and I were actually friends at one point... To think that this kind man I see here is the person I now know as Itsuki Inoue, my ex-fiancé...

Kira went outside to the beaches, looking out to the sunset. "I want things to end peacefully...Things cannot continue as they are now..."

She then sensed that someone was approaching her, coming to her in her direction.

"Umm..." 

She then looked to the side, and saw a tall vampire male with brown hair and crimson eyes approaching her.

That's Kaname! Wow... He hasn't changed a bit... He still looks extremely handsome...

"Vampire!" She said as she pointed the weapon at him for self-defense.

"Don't worry, i'm not here to hurt you. I just want to talk to you..." He said.

"That's weird. A vampire wanting to talk to me, a human being born in Takamagahara?"

"So? Is there a problem with that? I wish for coexistence between humans and vampires." He said.

Even during those years, he wished for coexistence... Kaname has always wanted to live in peace as well...

"Really... My people don't wish for that. They believe that vampires are a sin, they shouldn't be around humans." She said.

"That's not right at all. We are all people here. We should have the same rights." He said.

"You're an interesting one. What's your name?" She aked him curiously.

"I'm Kaname Kuran. It's a pleasure to meet you, Miss...?"

"Kira. Kira Adachi. I guess I can say it's a pleasure to meet you as well, Kaname..." She said with a kind smile.

The both of them walked through the beach, getting to know each other.

"So, why are you here at the Ishigaki Islands instead of the battlefield?" She told him curiously.

"I needed a break... I lost someone that was very important to me. She sacrificed her heart for the sake for vampire hunter weapons into the furnace. She was known as the Hooded Woman..."

Hooded Woman? Was she also a vampire? Was she someone that was close to Kaname?

"I'm so sorry to hear that, Kaname. This is one of the reasons why I want this to end peacefully. To avoid the death of more people. This war just continues to escalate...I just don't know what to do anymore." Kira said in a sad tone.

"Then let's find a way to end this together, Kira. Maybe if we come up with a plan together, then we can put an end to this nonsense of a war."

"Yes! We can do this!" Kira said happily.

I smiled. His personality hasn't changed at all. He's still the kind and gentle man that I know.

Then, I noticed that the vision before me changed. I was in some sort of meeting hall with five other people. Is this... Takamagahara?

"Trust me, Amaterasu! This plan will work! Our reason for descending was to bring peace, not make the war worse!"

"I understand your words, Kira. But, so far the vampires have the upper hand here, we have no choice. We would have taken the peaceful route if it wasn't bad. But things are up to the point where we are going to have to fight and join the vampire hunters in the war."

"Amaterasu's right, Kira. We are going to have to bring peace this way. I don't want to do this either, but...it's also for the sake of the innocent humans that are being put at risk. " Haruna stated.

That's Haruna Sakaki, one of the ancestors. She was....my best friend..

"Haruna..."

"Yeah, we don't. But it's the only thing left to do..." Eri stated as well.

And Eri Ishikawa, the one who was always like a mother to me...

"All in favor, raise your hand." Amaterasu said.

Kira was the only one who didn't raise her hand...

"Please reconsider! I think what we are doing is wrong!" Kira said trying to convince him.

"I'm sorry, Kira. But the majority voted to do this..."

Kira looked down unhappily, and left the room.

Haruna ran behind her.

Kira's footsteps echoed as she walked the halls of Heavenly Castle.

"Wait, Kira!" Haruna said calling out to her.

"Yes? What is it?" She said in an upset tone.

"Listen. I did that for the sake of the human race. As things are right now, vampires need to perish. If they don't, the amount of Level E's will continue to increase! Please understand!"

"No! I just can't! Vampires are living beings as well, just because they are different they shouldn't be treated differently!"

"You're saying this because of him, aren't you... You want to protect him..."

Kira looked away.

"What, you've been around him for like a week? You can't trust him, Kira! What if he turns his back on you and kills you?" Haruna said worriedly.

"He won't. I trust him."

"Then be careful. Don't get into a romantic relationship with him. If that happens, that means immediate execution." She said worriedly.

She stayed silent.

So this must have happened a week after Kaname met me...

Now I remember.... That time I realized that I fell in love with him, but it was a sin in Takamagahara to fall in love with a vampire.

"Don't fall in love with Kaname, Kira. There someone here in Takamagahara that loves you even more... He's just afraid to tell you... He's told me about how much he really cares about you.." Haruna said. 

Kira looked confused, wondering who was the mystery man that had fallen in love with her.

"Who?" I said.

"I'm sorry. I can't say." She said.

"Well, whoever he is I'm happy that he likes me, but I love someone else."

"So you do love him!" She said out loud.

"I never said his name..." I said, walking ahead of her.

"Seriously... Be careful then!" Haruna said worriedly.

The vision before me once again changed. Now I was in a room while a man was drawing a portrait of me. Could that be the portrait that was hanging in the room...?

"How longer...? I'm getting bored..." Kira said bored.

"Not too much left, Princess Kira. Just hold on a bit more. Keep still."

She sighed and continued posing.

About an hour later, Kira flew down from the Holy Temple and down there, Kaname was standing against a tree, waiting for her.

"Hehe, I'm so used to seeing you here now, it would feel weird not to see you."

"I cannot stop thinking about you, that's why." He said with a kind smile on his face.

Kira's face blushed tomato red, and Kaname smiled, holding out a bouquet of pink roses.

She does act like me as well.... Well, technically we are the same person, just some differences. Every time Kaname does these kind of things with me, my heart would start beating continuously and my face would turn red.

"Kira Adachi, will you be my lover?"

"But... What about that Hooded Woman? Don't you still love her?"

"She was someone that was very important to me. But, not romantically. When I was cast out of my village after discovering my identity as a vampire, she welcomed me into her group.. It made me happy. Me, not remembering my name, she gave me the name "Kaname". She was like a mentor to me. But not once have I thought her as someone more than that. I love you, Kira..."

"Kaname... I do too, but..."

"I know. That rule you have in Takamagahara. But, I can't hold these feelings in anymore, Kira. I love you so much..." He said passionately.

His hands caressed Kira's face and he made his way to kiss her. Kira slowly closed her eyes and accepted his kiss.

Even though, I can't speak or take control of this body, I can still feel Kaname's kiss, his warmth...

I'm starting to remember everything... The memories are coming back to me now...

However... Things took a turn for the worse about two weeks after Kaname and Kira confessed their feelings for each other...

Kira laid in bed, reading a book. It was a beautiful full moon outside the Holy Temple and there was not a cloud in the sky.

A knock at her window had caught her attention.

Then curiously when she pulled the curtains aside, she saw an injured Kaname.

"Kaname!" She said worriedly.

She quickly let him in and sat him on her bed.

"W-why aren't your wounds healing? You should be ok, right?" Kira said worriedly.

"They stabbed me with an anti-vampire weapon..." He said with a hand on his chest.

"Then I'll heal you! I have very strong healing abilities!" Kira said as she put her hands on Kaname's chest.

"Kira.."

"I don't want you to die on me here. We've got a whole life ahead of us."

Her hands glowed, and in an instant, his wound was healed.

"Thank you... But that wasn't the reason I came here." He said.

"Then... What is it?" Kira said curiously.

"Here, take this. For you." He said, handing out a weapon.

He handed Kira what seemed to resemble the Artemis Scythe, only it was the color gold in its rod formation.

A weapon? It's not Bloody Diamond, but it resembles Yuuki's Artemis.

"This is the Golden Artemis. This is one of the most strongest vampire hunter weapons I've made and I want you to have it. This was made exclusively for someone from Takamagahara, so I thought you would be the best candidate. It's stronger than the original Artemis that I made."

"Wow, thanks! I love the color!"  She said as she took it.

"I knew you would." He said, smiling.

"Well, I need to get going. If I stay here any longer, then people are going to suspect you." He said as he made his way to the window.

However, Kira grabbed his hand. 

"Kaname, please stay here with me tonight. I think the others will be back by tomorrow afternoon and the only people here are the elders, which never come by here. Just, please..." She said as she grabbed his hand tighter.

"Kira...of course I'll stay here with you." He said with a smile.

"I'll make a barrier around you in which no one can detect your presence. So don't worry about it. Also, I'm going to create one in this temple, so that in the future, it can continue to exist as it is now." She said.

She then raised her hand up a circle emitting from her hand.

"Now, let's just relax..." She said.

They both laid in bed and Kaname brought her into his arms.

"Kaname... I want you." Kira said, looking at Kaname with desire, flipping herself over him.

His eyes widened in surprise, then smiled.

"Of course you can have me. I've been waiting for you to tell me that." He said, his eyes becoming lustful.

Kira then forced her lips on him, kissing him passionately.

Kaname gave in to her kiss, and ended up having a passionate first night together.

*Zero's PoV*
I walked through the beach, getting some fresh air. I told my partner to stay at the room, because of this immense desire for blood.

This thirst of blood is killing me... Ever since I drank Lily's blood the other night, I haven't stopped craving it. It's like Yuuki's blood is useless at this point. I took some of her blood secretly last night, but it didn't work. It just temporarily took my thirst away, but it came back. Lily's blood doesn't compare to anyone else's...

The pain continued. Damn it... I took a bunch of blood tablets and put them in my mouth. Damn, this isn't working...

"Hey, what's going on with you?" Lily's brother Hiroki said as he came up to me with his partner, Nadeshiko.

"Nothing, just go away." I said.

I can't keep up with this... They need to leave.

"Seriously... And this is why you don't have much friends..." Hiroki said.

"I don't care. Goodbye." I said as I began to walk away from them.

"U-um! Zero! Get better, whatever it is that's going on!"  Nadeshiko said.

I ignored her.  I just have to find a place where there is no one...

I made my way to the nearby woods and stood against a tree, trying to gain my composure.

"Well, well. If it isn't Zero, who it seems is a bit bloodthirsty..." Ichiru said.

Ichiru...! And that woman...

"What do you want?" I said in disgust.

"Nothing. It's just a coincidence that we just happen to meet here. Ichiru and I just decided to go for a walk on this beautiful sunny day!" Maria said.

"The day's going to come... And I will enjoy seeing your blood splattered everywhere..." I said.

"Awww! Don't be like that, Zero! Enjoy your vacation and stop being so glum! I told you, we can settle this back at Cross Academy." She said in her annoying happy voice.

"Ugh, just get out of my sight. Both of you." I said as I left them both. I'm sure that if I see Lily again, she will give me her blood, but... now she belongs to Kuran...

I believe that Lily is the only one that can quench my thirst for blood... But she is so far out of reach for me. I need to at least confess my feelings to her, even if it pisses off Kuran...

*Kaname's PoV*

It's been about 40 minutes, and Lily is still sleeping peacefully in bed. I continued to hold her warm hand.

*knock knock*

"Yes, who is it?" I asked.

"It's me, the elder. May I come in?"

"Yes, of course."

The elder then came in with a smile on his face.

"Still hasn't woken up, huh..." He said.

"No. But it is a lot to take in, so it's only natural that she is still sleeping." I said.

"I know... I just wonder. Will she be alright receiving the memories of how she died in her past life?" The elder said.

"I hope so... But I cannot help but feel a bit worried. That was a terrible death that she faced..." I said sadly.

I looked over at Lily and she was still sleeping peacefully..

*Lily's PoV*

After that night, the vision before me changed once again. I see myself in front of an audience, handcuffed wearing a plain white dress. Is this my execution in Takamagahara...? This must be when they found out my relationship with Kaname...

"This is so painful... I can't believe the one we are executing is you, our precious Princess Kira... Especially on the day of your 18th birthday..." Amaterasu said, standing in front of me.

"Amaterasu.... I can't believe you're doing this... Only because I fell in love with a vampire, you're doing this? Why?! Why are you doing this?!" She said sadly, on the verge of crying.

"We are cleansing you of your sin. You are a kind and gentle girl that was corrupted by a vampire. You'll be happier in a place that's even higher than Takamagahara."

Tears then fell out of Kira's eyes.

This is terrible...!

"Because of the sin you've committed as much as we hate this, the Adachi family is hereby banished from Takamagahara, and bestowed upon a curse. On the night of her 18th birthday, the eldest daughter of the Adachi family will die. Only one thing can save her. The genuine love of an eternal soulmate. One that won't betray her..."

No... This can't be!

"Then, please...please let me see him one last time! Before I leave this world!" Kira pleaded.

"All right. Bring Kaname Kuran here." Amaterasu said in a commanding tone.

As if in a flash, Kaname appeared in front of Kira, saying their final goodbyes.

"I will stop this..! I'm not going to let them do this to you!" Kaname said, running up to the handcuffed Kira.

Kira smiled in her tears and brought her hands into Kaname's.

"No, Kaname. You can't stop them. Even if you are a powerful Pureblood, you can't! Here in Takamagahara, your powers are sealed.... But. I want you to promise me something, Kaname."

"Anything."

"When I reincarnate in the future, I want you to find me again and fall in love with me again." She said.

"Of course! Of course I will... I could never forget you, Kira..." Kaname said.

Kaname then brought Kira's face into a passionate kiss, not caring who saw them.

Their lips parted.

"I love you, Kira. Now and forever.."

"Kaname, I love you too..."

Kira then looked over at Amaterasu.

"Before I die, I have a wish. Will you be able to grant it?" She asked.

"I will. As you were the one that was most favored by the gods. What is your wish, Kira Adachi?"

"I wish to reincarnate and fall in love with Kaname again... It doesn't matter whether I remember him or not because the only thing that will remember him is my heart..."

"That is fine with me. Your wish has been heard loud and clear..."

Kira took one last look at the other five ancestors who were upset, tears coming out of their eyes.

"Haruna, Eri, Eiichi, Yusuke, Emiko... Thank you for being like a family to me... I hope that we meet in the next life.." Kira said smiling in tears.

"Kira..." Haruna said in tears.

"Just kill her already..." Someone in the crowd said.

And right in Kaname's eyes and in the audience, Kira was stabbed deep in the heart falling into Kaname's arms.

This hurts too much... This is too saddening! I-I can't see Kaname in pain!

"Kira..." Kaname said as he was in emotional pain.

"Kira, wake up... Please don't leave me. Without you, what meaning does my life have? I wanted to spend my life with you, eternally!" He said, his voice cracking.

I only felt the pool of blood that surrounded me and Kaname embracing me, calling out for me...

So that was my past with Kaname... It was a happy one that had a sad ending...

The vision changed once more. But this time, I'm not in the form of Kira anymore... I'm Lily, and I can control my movements.

I saw Kaname looking forward, into the distance. I can sense the pain that's emitting from him. I'm so sorry, Kaname that you're currently going through this pain but things will get better, I promise...

I slowly made my way to where Kaname was standing and put my hand on his arm. My hand went through him.

I can't touch him, but I can still feel his warmth.

You will see me again.. Just hold on for now.

I love you, Kaname....

He turned around as if he heard me, but he wasn't able to see me.

"Kira...." He said.

Shortly after that, the war ended and Kaname Kuran then fell to rest for a long period of time...

And with that the dream ended....

....

I slowly opened my eyes, and everything around me is blurry. I'm back to my current life...

As soon as I was able to see normally, I looked around desperately searching for Kaname.

"Kaname? Kaname, where are you?" I said, looking around the room.

"He stepped out and told me to watch over you until he got back." A woman said smiling, sitting at a chair.

That's... Eri Ishikawa! Or better said... her reincarnation...

"Eri..." I said.

"I remember when I was once known as that name 9,000 years ago. But now my name is Mina Ishikawa, Eri Ishikawa's reincarnation. However, I remember you...the one that I treated like a daughter... my dear Kira.... What are you known as now?" She said in a motherly tone.

I smiled. "I'm Lily Adachi. It's a pleasure to meet you once again, Mina..."

I then got out of bed and hugged her. "So I was able to meet you again in my next life..." I said.

"And I'm happy that your wish came true, Lily..."

"Mina, where did Kaname go?" I said.

"Something happened outside in the woods, and he went to go help." She stated.

"Then I'm going too!" I said.

"Hehe. You haven't changed a bit... Let's go." She said with a smile.

We flew our way down from the temple and ran to town to go and see the situation.

When we made it to the woods, I saw that Zero was passed out on the ground. Kaname, Hanabusa, Seira, Akatsuki, Ruka, Rima, Senri, Takuma, Hiroki, Daisuke, and Itsuki were all there surrounding him.

"What happened here?" I said as I approached everyone.

"Lily! Where have you been?! We've been worried sick!" Seira said, running up to me.

"Ohh, umm... I was just taking a nap. Sorry I worried you guys." I said.

"Who's she?" Hiroki said, referring to Mina.

"She's..."

"A pleasure to meet you all. I'm Mina Ishikawa, reincarnation of Eri Ishikawa, one of the six Takamagahara ancestors. But let's save the introductions for later. What happened to this young man...?"

"Bloodthirst...And he was calling your name, Lily. It seems that only your blood can quench his thirst." Daisuke said.

"Ah... So he is a vampire... Poor thing, and a Level D at that.." Mina said worriedly.

"I just cannot accept Kiryu taking Lily's blood. It irritates me." Kaname said.

"This will be the last time..." I said in a soft voice.

"What...?" Everyone said.

"This will be the last time I will give Zero my blood... I will take away his painful thirst and make sure he never becomes a Level E... My blood has special powers similar to a Pureblood's that can take the thirst away..."

Kaname looked over at me worriedly and I smiled.

"Everything's going to be fine. No one needs to worry... For now, let's just end Zero's desperate thirst..." I said.

*Hiromi's PoV, Adachi residence*

"A letter from the Association?" I said curiously.

"Yes... We have a new mission. Says that we have to go execute some Level E's roaming the streets of town. Not a hard mission, just a typical Level E killing mission." Kazuki stated.

That's weird... Kazuki and I haven't gotten many requests from the Association to kill Level E's. We usually get the mission to go kill either nobles or Level C's... Usually our children are in charge of the Level E's...

"Yeah. You're right.. We should give our children a break... Let's go take care of this nice and quickly..." I said.

"Yes, and let's see who can kill the most." Kazuki said.

"Obviously me." I said.

"Then let's make a bet. Whoever kills the most Level E's has to.....ah yes! Go to the next boring Association meeting!"  Kazuki said.

"Heh. You're on." I said.

We shook our hands and went to go prepare for the mission...
