*Kaname's PoV*
As usual, I was in my office doing paperwork and such. The never ending paperwork. But it must be done. I turned my chair around looking out the window, and the moon was covered by scattered clouds in the night sky. I cannot explain this very well, but lately I've been having visions of this girl with long pink hair telling me that I'm the only one that can save her. It's very peculiar to me because every time I saw her, my heart would start pacing very quickly. It is a very warm and gentle feeling, one that I never felt when I'm around Yuuki.  I have never seen her face in those dreams because she never turns around. She simply looks forward, and doesn't ever look back at me when she talks to me.

I sighed. 

"Well, looks like this is enough for the night." I said to myself as I put all the finished paperwork into a pile and got up from my chair. I took a shower and then laid down on the long, red couch.

"You have me dying of curiosity, Miss Pink Haired Girl. Who could you possibly be? Why are you calling out to me?"  

With that said, I then ended up falling asleep.

I once again opened my eyes, but I wasn't in my dorm. I was in a grassy field, and snow was gently falling down on the ground. To my surprise, it was not cold...

 In a short distance away, I see the pink haired girl with her hair flowing with the wind. However I saw a red thread tied to her finger. Why does she have that tied to her?

"Thinking why I have this tied to my hand? It's simple. It's the red thread of destiny. It's tied to death, which is my destiny. However... I sense something different in you. I have this feeling deep in my heart that you aren't like the others. You're special, different, and I want to meet you... I want to look back and see your face. But I know that I cannot look at you yet. Because I have a feeling that we will meet in the real world.." She said in her usual calm manner.

"Miss...Can you at least tell me your name?" I said in a tone of curiosity. I didn't know what else to ask her.

"My name is..."

However she was interrupted by a beam of light that had flashed in front of me.

I opened my eyes, and I find myself in my room. The sun was already shining brightly in the sky.  I covered my eyes from the rays of the sun that had shone from the window.

"Another dream... So, she's destined to die. Could it be she wants me to turn her into a vampire? No. That cannot be it. There has to be another reason why she wants me to save her. I'm not like them? What is she saying?" I haven't met another vampire girl who has pink hair, she could be a human. But then again, why would a human want to involve herself with me, a Pureblood?

*Lily's PoV*
The sun shined brightly in the beautiful blue sky as I was in the garden sitting at the fountain with my sister Seira. My time on this beautiful planet is coming to an end. 

I know that I will never find my soulmate. Men usually come to me for my status and appearance. They never see me for who I am. 

Lately I been having dreams of this man calling me, asking what my name is. But... I don't know who he is. His voice is so calming and it warms my heart. But that's always a game that men play with me but I won't fall for it. It's just a dream..

"You ok, Lily? You've been quiet for some time." Seira said worriedly.

"Oh! I'm fine! Just some things on my mind, that's all." I said.

"You always have things on your mind, Lily." She said, giggling.

"Seira, Lily! Breakfast is ready!" Our mother said, calling us from inside the mansion.

"Coming!" We both said, responding to her.

Seira and I then made our way to the dining room. Our parents and two brothers, Daisuke and Hiroki were already sitting at the table, waiting for us.

"It's about time you guys got here! I'm starving!" My older brother Daisuke said. I laughed.

"Well here we are!" Seira said. 

I'm really going to miss all of this, the happiness that we all share in this family. But, I have no control. I'm eventually going to have to say goodbye to them on the night of my 18th birthday.

"So what's my schedule for today, Mom? Anything important?" I asked.

"Well, you have to go to the Hunter's Association today for a mission to go execute a couple of rowdy Level E's. You have no class today, as it is a holiday. So basically you're free for the day today after you finish the mission. Same goes for the three of you." She said to me and my siblings.

"Awesomeeee. That means I can spend the day playing video games!" My younger brother Hiroki said.

I sighed. One thing I want to do before I die is go to a boarding school and experience life as a normal teenage girl. Homeschooling is so boring, and I can't make any new friends...

"What's the matter, Lily?" Dad asked me while eating his rice.

"Well... This has been on my mind for a bit, but I want to go to a boarding school. I've always wanted to experience life as a normal teenager and make new friends. Can I? Please?" I said pleadingly.

My parents looked at each other. 

"Are you sure about that, Lily? Being there means you're going to stay there. And with the time you have left..." Dad said.

"I'm sure. I'll come back on the day before my birthday, which is what? Four months from now? It should be fine, right?" I said in a carefree tone.

"If that is what you want, then so be it Lily. We want you to enjoy your last four months here in this world.." Mom said in a sad tone.

"Now now! There is still four months! Lily still has time to find her soulmate! He has to be close by, somewhere in this town! He might even be waiting for her in Cross Academy!"  Daisuke said.

I can no longer believe in love.  I've been used by so many men from my past...

"I only was with you because of your social status... You have no use to me anymore."

"There is no longer any need for us to be together. I already got what I needed from you."

Yet that man in my dreams... My heart won't stop pounding. I really do want to meet him, I want to see him.

"All right. If that is your wish, then I'll speak to Kaien Cross, the headmaster of Cross Academy." Dad said with a happy smile on his face.

"Oh, thank you, thank you, Dad!" I said as I ran up and hugged him.

"Would you three like to go as well?" Dad said to my three siblings.

"Sure." Daisuke said.

"Sounds cool! Maybe I can find myself a girl!" Hiroki said with a smirk.

"Ok!" Seira said excitedly.

"Haha, then it's settled then." Mom said with a laugh.

I then looked at the clock. "Well, then. We should be on our way to the Association."  I said as I wiped my lips with a napkin. 

My siblings nodded and we all got up.

"Be careful you four!" Mom said loudly as we ran out of the Adachi mansion.

We got in the limo and we were on our way to the Hunter's Association.

"I swear. I better not get partnered with Zero Kiryu again..." Hiroki said in a somewhat annoyed tone.

"Why? What's wrong with him?" I said curiously.

"Come on sis!  You haven't heard of Zero Kiryu? He has lavender eyes and gray hair and you never see a smile on that guy's face, plus he's sooo mean! I rememberwhen he was in a bad mood and he totally ignored me during that mission! He only answered my questions with "whatever" or "leave me alone." Seira said.

"I heard he was a level D vampire." Daisuke said.

"He is! Someone in the Association told me. Some Pureblood by the name Shizuka Hio attacked his family and turned him into a vampire." Hiroki said.

"Then he must have been through so much. That's why he acts this way towards everyone." I said sympathetically.

"Yeah, I guess you're right on that perspective.." Seira said, looking out from the window of the limo.

*Kazuki's PoV*

Once Lily and my other children left to the Association, I decided to give Kaien Cross a call.

"Hellooo? This is Headmaster Kaien Cross speaking!" 

He sounds cheerful. Wonder what's going on with his life these days.

"Hello, Cross? This is Kazuki Adachi speaking. Remember me?"

"Ahh, yes! Kazuki! How has my former partner been doing?"

He's changed since the last time I saw him. He was once a very serious and merciless man, but now..he seems to be too cheerful.

"I've been doing well. However, Cross. I have a request."

"...Anything, Kazuki! Fire away!"

"I would like to transfer my four children to your academy for just a period of four months. You know the Adachi family's curse. Well my eldest daughter, Lily would like to experience the school life, which I don't know why, but I would like to fulfill her wish. So..."

"Sure! Sure! Of course! I would love to see little Lily again! It's been a long time!"

"And just so you know, we do know Cross Academy's little secret with the Night Class." I said. For a time, it was silent.

"...Then your children must know the secret as well. Then it would be helpful if they joined the Disciplinary Committee. You see, well... There's only two members right now and Kiryu-kun has been complaining that there should be more people, so if it's fine with you..."

"I really don't care. As long as my children experience the high school life, then it's fine by me."

"Ok! Then, tomorrow they can be admitted! Is that alright with you?"

"Sure. It's nice talking to you again, Cross."

"You too, Kazuki! Come by for a cup of coffee sometime!"

"Sure..." 

I then hung up.

He really has changed a lot. He's no longer a merciless vampire hunter, but a mere vampire-loving fool... Vampires are the reason why our family is cursed. I can co-exist with them, but I would never befriend one...

I just hope that Lily, Seira, Hiroki, or Daisuke does not fall in love with one of them....

*ten minutes later, Lily's PoV*

We arrived at the Association's headquarters and stepped out of the limo. As we were making our way to the Association President, who was standing at the entrance, there were hunters left and right staring at us.

"Look, it's Kazuki and Hiromi's children... " One of the hunters said.

"They are prodigies... How much I aspire to be like them..." Another said.

"And their daughters are beautiful." One other said.

We walked up to the Association President, who was waiting for us with a smile. I've always wondered, is he or she a boy or a girl? To the right of the crowd, I saw Zero Kiryu, the one my siblings were talking about. He doesn't look that bad, he's actually pretty good looking. But my siblings were right. He needs to get better with his attitude. He's glaring at me.

"Welcome, Adachi family! A pleasure to see you again. It is truly an honor to be in your presence!" The Association President said happily.

"It's nice to be here. So you summoned us for a Level E mission?" I asked him.

"Yes, those things are cluttering up in town, and we need you four to go with a partner to go and annihilate them." The President added.

Oh come on, seriously? They call us all the way here just to do that? Well, whatever. It's something to do.

"I'm ready to do this! Let's go, Daichi buddy!" Hiroki said. 

Daichi is Hiroki's best friend, and he always calls out to him when the time comes to pick partners because he hates to be assigned to someone random.

 I saw that my siblings were going with their respective partners, so I decided to partner up with Zero Kiryu to see if these rumors about him are true. I walked up to him with a happy smile on my face.

"Hi there. Wanna be my partner?" I said kindly.

"Whatever." He said in an annoyed tone. 

 He then began to walk ahead of me.

As we walked to town, I tried to create a conversation with him, keeping up with his pace.

"So you are Zero Kiryu, huh... I've heard a lot of you from my siblings! I'm Lily Adachi, the second eldest!" I said happily.

He stayed silent. 

"Um....So what school do you go to?" I said, continuously trying to create a conversation with him.

Surprisingly, he answered me.

"...Cross Academy."

"Oh, really? Unfortunately, for me I'm being homeschooled for now, but my Dad told me he's going to put me in Cross Academy too, so I might get transferred there! But I've heard rumors about that academy, so correct me if I'm wrong, but... Are there vampires in the so-called elite Night Class?" I asked curiously.

His eyes widened. "...How did you know that? That is something that one should not know."

I giggled. "Never underestimate someone from the noble Adachi family!" I said cheerfully.

He sighed. "If you go there, I'm telling you right now. Stay away from the Night Class." He said.

"Oh, come on Zero! I'm a vampire hunter. If they dare lay a finger on me, I'll point my Bloody Diamond gun at them and shoot them." I said.

"If that was allowed, I would have done it years ago. But that is strictly forbidden." He said.

I then noticed that Level E's were swarming around us with an immense thirst for blood.

"Time to do this!" I said, taking out Bloody Diamond.

Zero nodded, and we both began killing level E's through and through with our anti-vampire guns.

One came after me, and I punched one in the stomach then gave them the final blow with my gun. After that, they all disappeared into dust.

"Well, that was easy." I said.

"Yeah." He said.

We were then making our way back to the Association.

"So are there any friendly vampires in that school?" I said.

"No. They are all despicable. Especially Kuran." He said in a disgusted tone.

When I heard that name, my heart skipped a beat. But why? I don't know anyone by the name of Kuran. All I know is that they are a Pureblood family that's it, but I don't know anyone in particular from that family.

"I'm sure there has to be a kind vampire in there somewhere. I believe that not all of them mean harm to anyone." I said, smiling.

"Tch, yeah right." He said.

We made it back to the Association headquarters, and my siblings were already back, waiting for me in front of the limo.

"Well, it was nice to meet you, Zero. I'll see you at Cross Academy!" I said happily.

"Yeah, see ya." He said walking away with his hand up, saying goodbye.

"Would you all like to stay a bit longer?" The Association President said.

I would rather leave as soon as possible, honestly before they give us more work.

"No, it's fine. But thank you for the offer." I said. 

My siblings nodded in agreement.

"Yeah, I kinda wanna go back home and take a nap..." Daisuke said.

"There's a new episode of a show premiering today, and I can't miss it!" Seira said.

"I have some plans too. Video games and snacks for the rest of the day."  Hiroki said.

"All right then! No problem at all! Thanks for the help!" The Association President said.

We then got back in the limo and went on our way home.

As we were all sitting in the back, my siblings' eyes widened.

"You actually befriended Zero Kiryu? I thought it was a challenge to become his friend! He didn't even wanna be mine!" Seira said.

"Yeah, like he never even talked to me! Dang, he probably likes you Lily. That just has to be it." Daisuke said.

"No way! He's too serious for my tastes. I go for the kind, gentlemanly type. I want a man that loves me for who I am, not because of my status or looks."

"Yeah, I guess that is something that matters in a lot of relationships." Hiroki said.

*fifteen minutes later*

We stepped out of the limo, and as we were walking to the entrance of the Adachi mansion, Father was standing there, smiling.

"What's up, Dad? You look happy." I said as we walked to the entrance.

"Be ready! I was able to get the four of you into Cross Academy! You will be all admitted into the Day Class tomorrow!" He said happily.

"Yay! Finally I'll be able to go to a real school! Thanks, Dad!" I then quickly ran inside, running to pack my things.

*meanwhile at Cross Academy, third person PoV*

Zero and Yuuki stood in front of the Headmaster's desk, and they were surprised by the Headmaster's declaration.

"The number of the Disciplinary Committee is going to increase?!" Yuuki said with a surprised expression.

"Thank goodness..." Zero said.

"Yes, we are receiving four new students that are going to be admitted into the Day Class. They are from the prestigious vampire hunter family, the Adachi family. They are going to help you protect the Night Class' secret." The headmaster stated.

"Those guys? Damn, they are so annoying... Especially the youngest daughter, Seira. Today I was partnered with their other daughter, Lily. She's pretty good with hunting, I was surprised." Zero said.

"Yes, the Adachi family has been well known for generations as very successful vampire hunters. I'm positive that they will be a great help to you." Headmaster said.

"I'm so excited to meet new friends!" Yuuki said, happily.

But little did they know, someone was listening to their conversation.

*Kaname's PoV*
As I was on my way to the Headmaster's office, I heard a conversation between him, Kiryu, and Yuuki. 

I decided to listen in into the conversation that they were having.

"Yes, we are receiving four new students that are going to be admitted into the Day Class. They are from the prestigious vampire hunter family, the Adachi family. They are going to help you protect the Night Class' secret." Headmaster said.

"Those guys? Damn, they are so annoying... Especially the youngest daughter, Seira. Today I was partnered with their other daughter, Lily. She's pretty good with hunting, I was surprised." Kiryu said.

"Yes, the Adachi family has been well known for generations as very successful vampire hunters. I'm positive that they will be a great help to you." Headmaster said.

"I'm so excited to meet some new friends!" Yuuki said.

So.. New students are coming to Cross Academy, huh. And vampire hunters at the most. How interesting. However that last name Adachi has always stood out to me. I know they are known to be an elite family of vampire hunters. But I feel like there is more to them.

 I hear the soft echoes of a girl's voice in my mind.

"Kaname... I love you. You won't remember me, nor will I when I am reincarnated. But just know that our love will continue deep inside our memories..."

Who was that just now? I looked around and did not see anyone. She sounds at bit like the girl I saw in my dreams... Do I know this girl? Was she a part of my distant past? I need to find out more about this... But no matter how much I think about it, I don't remember being with a pink haired girl during the time of the ancestors. I only remember being with the Hooded Woman...
