CRAM Chapter 02-The Crying Girl

I grinned at everyone drooling at me, mostly girls. I saw some girls trying to look cute, and I just rolled my eyes. Girls will be girls.

"Oi, Flame Brain."

"What, Ice Princess?"

The one who called me Flame Brain is Gray Fullbuster. He's an annoying frienemy of mine. We liked to fight a lot. I don't know, I just get irritated when I see his face every single time. He knew how to push my buttons, too. But there were times we'd get along too. But that happens rarely so never mind.

"Your face annoys me so much." He informed while scowling.

"Really? The feeling is mutual. And why do you go around naked? What, you expect girls to look and buy your hotdog? Dream on, dude. Dream on." I mocked, smirking at his reaction.

"Why you little—"

"Oi, Salamander." Gajeel Redfox. Also a frienemy of mine. Popular guy as well. The heir of Redfox Inc. His red eyes made him popular with girls. For me, it was disgusting. I mean, I have never seen someone with red eyes before. He looked like a paranormal creature.

I shot him daggers. "What do you want, metal freak? You lookin' for a fight or what?"

"Well, look who's here." Then Jellal Fernandes. The Student Council Vice-President. Also known as V. Pres. Rumors say that Erza Scarlet (the monster) is in a relationship with him. He's lucky because I guess Erza never hit him on the head. I mean, everytime she's ticked off, she's gonna vent it out on someone.

"Mornin'." The chill guys. Alzack Connell, Romeo Conbolt and my other classmates greeted. Elfman shouted "Man!" which I found very irritating. He liked to quote everything about being manly and such.

"Oi, Natsu. You left me behind again!" Then there goes my bestfriend. Happy.

I have him an apologetic glance. "Sorry, pal. I was hurrying up because it's the first day, and I never bothered to wake you up. Uh, well, I bothered, but you just groaned and turned to the other side of the bed."

"You'll never be late, and you know that." Laxus Dreyar, another frienemy of mine, said. He likes Mira, for all I know. He's the heir of Dreyar Inc. next to Makarov Dreyar, the principal of this school and Laxus's grandfather.

"Oh and yes, I saw him earlier!" I heard a girl mumble. Well, more like a fangirl.

"Then—"

I ignored the gossip girls on the corner and went to my locker to get my things for the first period. That's when my fans screamed.

"Kyaaaa~!"

"He's here!"

"Do I look okay?"

"Oh my..."

"Hi Natsu-kun!!"

Here we go again. Girls drooling over me. I winked at them and the screams just got louder. This is always the event you'll see every morning. And this started when I was a freshman.

"Tsk. That's why I hate being popular." I heard somebody grumble.

"You're just envy, Ice Princess. And excuse me, the girls aren't screaming because of you. It's because of me. Me and my glory." I smirked teasingly.

"Whatever. Cocky jerk." And he walked way ahead of me.

"Yes, just praise me." I grinned at everyone.

"Can we take a picture please?"

"Can I have your autograph?"

Oh, girls.

Suddenly, in my peripheral view, I saw a certain blond girl...

that melts my heart.

Just kidding.

Who would fall for a crazy girl like her? Me? Oh, come on.

"Oi, Lucy!" I tried to catch her attention and make her smile, but she just frowned. I guess she didn't want to see me early in the morning. And this is really a good time to piss her off.

"Rushii!!" Happy flew beside me.

Levy greeted back, "Heyya, Natsu!"

"Tsk. Your bestfriend knows how to welcome people. What about you?" Happy rolled his eyes. Even my buddy knows how to tick her off. But... his comment was just ignored. Hehehe. Now, it's my turn.

"Yeah. Levy has manners. Not like this one."

That's when she reacted.

"What did you say, beast?"

"Clean your ears before I repeat it. You might not hear it again." I snickered.

"Grr!" she growled...

and stepped on my shoes.

"Ow! Hey! Get back here!" I shouted at the top of my lungs.

These are my new shoes and they were just...?! These shoes cost a mansion, if she only knew. And these are my new favorite shoes. Oh, you'll pay for this, Lucy Heartfilia.

A bell rang, signaling that there would be an important announcement from the first master. I sat on my chair at the classroom, killing Lucy in my mind... kidding. I wouldn't do that to a gorgeous girl like her.

"Everybody, please listen. Take note that your first subjects will be canceled for today because it is a must that new students will know every place on our school. Thank you, and have a blessed day."

Students from the classroom stood up and went out of the classroom. Some girls even bid me goodbye to which I reply with a nod and smile. A girl even gave me a seductive smile. Creepy.

"Oh yeah! Wanna go out, guys?" Gray tilted his head and shoved his hands into his pockets.

"Hehehe. Now that's what I call fun," Freed remarked, smiling lopsidedly.

"Going out is manly! Sometimes we all need a break too." Elfman pumped his fist in the air.

"Oh, boy..." I heard Evergreen said in dismay. I chortled and shook my head. Evergreen may be dismayed at Elfman's action, but I knew she still liked him. They suit a lot in my opinion.

"What's going on here?" A voice cut me out of my little train of thoughts and made my brain surprised.

It's...?!

"Hi guys!"

And her....

"Bickslow! Lisanna! Still sweet as ever, huh?" I suddenly felt my heart being crushed into pieces. Now my day is ruined. 

My hands turned into fists. Ugh. These guys never know a thing about me.

As you have all suspected, I like Lisanna. I never got the chance to tell her when we were still kids that I like her. And until now, I still haven't made a move on her, which gave Bickslow a chance to court her. Lisanna fell for his moves, and later they were already in a relationship. It was really fast. It was like, in the blink of an eye they were already together.

Then I saw Levy and Lucy running away from the girls who were calling them. Levy's face was kinda worried, and Lucy's face was...? I dunno. But I smell something fishy about her expression. It looked like was so sad, but now is not the time to tease her. I've got my own problems to deal with.

I tore my gaze away from them and looked at the floor.

I did not knew my hands were still formed into fists not until Gajeel pulled me, "Guys, we need to go to the CR."

"Oh. Sure," The boys agreed.

My brows were furrowed in confusion as Gajeel hauled me somewhere else. I just ignored him and continued thinking about Lisanna.

My train of thoughts were interrupted when Gajeel spoke. "Tell me. Jealous?" He inquired, smirking. I just frowned at him, still puzzled.

"What are you—?"

"Don't deny it. Bickslow and Lisanna?" My mouth went dry after hearing their names. Those two names that I will never forget. I looked everywhere. Everywhere but him. It was true. I was jealous of them. I wish that I was Lisanna's boyfriend, not Bickslow. I wish they would break up.

"Hmmm..?" He waited for me to answer. He was still dragging me.

Am I really that obvious when it comes to jealousy? This is all Lisanna's fault. Why did I even fall for her? I mean, I could fall for many girls in this school or better yet, I could fall for nobody and be a player. Sadly, I wasn't a player. I hated playing with other people's feelings. I don't want anyone to be like me: miserable.

"Yes." Argh. I hate thinking out loud. He continued to smirk at me until we stopped in the garden. People don't go here. I think it must be because of the fact that it's a little hidden for students. It's really quiet here, huh.

I heard sniffs and a whimper. Hey. I know that—

"Levy-chan. Why is it like that?"

I peered from the entrance of the garden. Lucy? Why is she crying?

"Shhh... it's okay Lu-chan."

"Why is Srnrjci like that?" What? Who?

"It's okay." I heard Gajeel say.
