(POV:Max)

I knew something was up with Asriel but he doesn't seem like he wants to say...

When we get the food everyone just starts talking amongst themselves. I Look over to Asriel and see that he is quietly sitting down. As far away from me as possible. I immediately feel bad and I wonder what I did wrong. I put my head on Neil's shoulder and whisper to him"I think Asriel is mad at me." Neil looks at me puzzled and asks"Why whould he be mad at you?" I look down at my food and say"When I asked if I chould touch his fur he got embarrassed and before that Buttons scared him." I sniffle and ask"What if he hates me?" Neil looks at Asriel then at me and says"Let's go talk to Asriel... maybe it's just a coincidence." I look at Asriel and ask"Neil can you come with me?" He nods and says"Let's go." We get up and I sit next to Asriel while Neil sits across the table with Buttons. I take a deep breath and say"Hi Asriel." Asriel looks at me and asks"Where's your dog?" I point at Neil and say"He has him." Asriel nods and says"I have a thing about dogs after what happened in the Underground..." I cock my head and ask"What happened? I can keep a secret." Asriel smiles at me and says"Where I lived as a kid there where dogs everywhere. Most of the royal gard where dogs and I was always trying to avoid them. One day my mom and dad king and queen of the Underground where walking around with me and the royal gard behind me... I didn't take it well and tried fight them. It didn't go well and since then I've always been shy around dogs." I nod and say"Five years ago I found out that I had Autism... it was strange at first but then I got used to it. I'm shy around new people and I don't do well in crowds of people. Buttons was one of the only things that made me feel loved." I wipe a tear from my eye and Asriel hugs me. His fur was soft and warm. It was comforting, and I slowly fall asleep.
