ALEX POV:

"Come on Alex it'll be fun!" Jack pleaded Me. "Ok fine but if anything happens its on you." I say. "Ok yay! Meet me at my house after school we'll talk more." "Ok" and with that I hung up the phone. I then lay in bed for a few minutes staring at the ceiling thinking "what am I getting myself into?" Apparently I didn't know I said it out loud because the second after I said that I heard Someone say "trouble." I shot up to see my stepsister Lynn (AN:yes Lynn gunn) Say with a smile on her face. "So what now are you selling weed to everyone at your school or something?" "What n-no I'm going camping with jack." "Then why are you so nervous?" "Because what if I get eaten by a bear or something?" "Then Jack will call an ambulance." "LYNN!" "I'm kidding!" She said giggling. "Hey I'm not trying to scare and I know you'll be fine but I really need to warn about some things." She says with a serious look on her face. "Ok" I say slightly worried. "Well there is this legend ...where if you go camping if you burn s'mores by the fire and have sing alongs with songs that they recognize then it can summon a demon named " paisley". She said "that's the stupidest thing I've ever heard what is she gonna kill us or something." I laugh nervously. "Worse."
"What do you mean by worse?" "I mean by she can follow you home but she won't show herself until the right time." I gave her a confused look. She must've read it. She rolled her eyes and answered "when she feels she's ready." "Ok so what are signs we need to look for to serif she's coming." "Well if you hear twigs breaking and animals screaming or shadows or even see someone sit next to you then that's probably her telling you she's coming. "So like if we see a dark shadowy figure or something sit down next to us we'll know it's her?" "Exactly but only her eyes will be glowing red" "a very disturbing red that is." "Ok well thanks for the warning." "Anytime lil bro." She said smiling and hugging me. She was always the sister I never had kinda thing.

"Come on lex we gotta go!" Jack called to me from outside. "Ok I'm coming hold on!" "I just had to pack one last thing before we left.
I wasn't sure I believed what Lynn told me but something about it just sent chills down my spine. I just tried to push it outta my mind and continued packing. I finally finished packing and walked outside into the truck we would be riding in. "Ok I'm ready." I say "good this is going to be so much fun!" Jack says and we head off. The whole ride there I just kept feeling this uneasy feeling like there was something I. The woods or someone following or watching us. "Ok we're lex help me set up!" He says and I get out and help.
Just as I was getting out I though heard something In the distance. It sounded like a high pitched shrill scream. "Did you hear that ?" Jack said. "Yeah probably some kid messing." I say trying to sound confident. Even though I felt fishy like something wasn't right.

As night time fell Jack and I decided to light a fire and cook s'mores. "Ahh I can't get the fire to start!" I say slightly frustrated. "Here let me do it you go get the s'mores." As I was getting the s'mores I could swear I felt someone watching me. "You're just being paranoid Alex you're just being paranoid" I thought. I brought the s'mores back and we cooked them while having small talk. I guess I was having so much fun with Jack that I forgot about what Lynn said. Jack pulled out his acoustic guitar looked at me and said "shall we?" "Yes we shall!" I said "I can't live without you now oh oh I can't even live with myself oh oh." We sand loudly. We were so into it that we almost didn't hear the sound an owl yelp. We both looked up. Nothing was there. We then heard a branch breaking just like what Lynn told me about. "Animal probably." "Yea." I'm gonna go get our tent ready." He said . I waited. I could've sworn that someone sat on the log across from me.
They were a dark figure with glowing eyes just like Lynn told me about I was too afraid to ask who they were so I slowly got up and raced to Jack. "Jack!" "What!" "I saw someone sitting on the log in front of me." I said close to tears. I followed Jack out of the tent and back to the campfire. "There's no one there." He said slightly confused. "No but I swear I sa-" "Alex you're mind was probably just playing tricks on you there's nothing ther-" just then we saw something On the log again this time looking towards us. "Jack" I say slowly he then pauses still looking straightforward then says "RUN!" Just as I was running I looked back to see the girl running towards us. We started the truck and got the hell outta there.

The next day we woke up in the truck. "What the fuck happened last night?" Jack said . "I don't I don't know." I say still shooken Up from what happened. " Lynn told me before we went camping that night there was this legend that if you sing along and cook s'mores it summons a demon." "Why didn't you tell me!" He shouted at me "I forgot!" I say back defensively. Just then a car pulled up next to ours. I tried looking in but the windows were tented. The first thing I could make out was red eyes in a disturbing color.
"Come on let's go." Jack said and pulled away from the car.

That night was full of bad vibes and chills. I finally got tired and went to bed. Just as I layed down I heard the door creak open. I saw a silhouette of a a figure with the same red eyes. Just like the night before.
