Chapter Seven: The Start of Something II

"Holly Violet Parker, stop running off like that!" Landon wheezed, bent over as he caught up to the excitable blonde.

She stood in front of a group of four slightly familiar faces. A pretty girl with dark skin and hair tied in a braid, wearing an arc reactor t-shirt and an Iron Man jacket glared at a small sweet looking Asian girl wearing a pink sundress and a Mickey Mouse purse. Next to the two of them was the familiar faces of Elora and David.

"I told you not to shout." The dark haired girl- Selina Stark if Holly was remembering correctly- mumbled to the small girl.

"Are you guys lost too?" Holly wondered.

"We aren't exactly lost." Selina said. "My ex-girlfriend... She tricked us into going the wrong way."

"So... You're lost."

"Maybe a little."

Elora bounced, happily. "We realized that the group was short a few members and well... David and I decided to get lost as well trying to find you guys."

"Elora likes to help too much."

"You're Holly, right?" The small girl Holly couldn't remember the name of asked. "I saw you take down Stephanie earlier. She'd so annoying. I'm Aurora by the way. Or Rory. I prefer Rory."

Rory... Right! She'd seen her earlier!

"Okay well now that the group has grown, let's work on a battle plan and find our way back to the group, mmkay?" Landon clapped his hands, looking throughly unamused to Holly.

"Where's your sense of adventure, Skywalker?" Holly giggled.

"Yeah we should be working on a revenge plan first." Sam smirked.

"Amen to that, sister." Selina high fived her.

They began walking together, following Holly's lead up a twisting path up the wooded hill.

"Sam, how did you get lost anyway?" Holly wondered.

Sam shrugged. "The hike was really an excuse for me to map out the terrain. Heard a rumor about something paranormal about the top of the hill. Ever notice that odd glow? You can't see it now, but from the center of camp it's clear as day. Thought I'd check it out."

"Um... Aren't we headed towards that odd glow, right now?" David piped up.

Holly halted, wavering. "No... We're headed," She pointed left. "Left! That glow was right, I think."

"It was probably just a broken beer glass or something." Selina stated.

"What glow are you guys even talking about?" Landon wondered.

Several girls exchanged a look. Holly, Sam, and Selina all nodded at each other in understanding while confusion crossed their faces about Landon.

"Skywalker, what do you mean what are we talking about?" Holly asked. "Didn't you see the glow in the hillside? It was clear as day down at camp. It nearly blinded me!"

"Holly, what are you Tolkien about?" Elora laughed.

"I saw it too. My bets on the paranormal."

"Your bets are always on the paranormal, Winchester girl." Selina rolled her eyes. She sighed. "But yeah, I saw it too. It's probably nothing."

"I guess so..." Holly sighed. If there was magic or something spooky going on that would be the coolest thing in the world. She wasn't watching where she was going. Rocks and fallen trees blocked her path, as they had abandoned the man made path. "But our priority right now is getting back to the group- CRAP!"

Next thing Holly knew was that she was tumbling down a peak in the forest, towards a smaller hill. Head over feet and feet over head and side over side, she tumbled.

"Holly!" Landon sprinted after her.

Holly rubbed her head. Very dizzy when the tumbling stopped. She sat up.

Around her the forest glowed.
