Chapter 2

Harry POV

"Stupefy!" I shouted clearly, pointing my wand at Ron.

I dodged out of the way, and his spell hit where I just was. He fell to the ground, and I took his wand and pointed it at him.

"You lose, mate." I said, offering my hand.

He groaned, lying on the ground.

"When did you get so bloody good?" he muttered, grabbing my hand.

After the events of last year, a new class was suggested. Physical and Magical Combat. I was surprisingly good at it, but Hermione really shined. All of those years of studying finally did something, and she could always beat me in a duel.

Neville walked into the room, and whispered something in the teachers ear. She listened to him, and her face morphed into a mask of surprise.

"Hermione, Professor McGonagall wants to see you, Harry, and Ron." our teacher, Professor Laurel Jackson said.

We walked out of the room.

"What did you two do?" Hermione hissed at us in a low voice.

"I haven't done anything! Have you ever thought it could be your fault?" Ron whispered back.

Me and Ron stopped and faced each other, and busted out laughing.

"Good one, Ron." I laughed out, wiping a tear of joy.

"Hush, you two! It's not that funny!" Hermione hissed, whacking Ron in the back of the head.

I slowly knocked on the door. To my surprise, Professor McGonagall answered, instead of the door asking for a password.

"Come in, come in. Hurry!" McGonagall said, ushering us into the room.

I sat down in the chair, and stared around the room. It was completely the opposite of what it looked like when Dumbledore had it. Everything was neat and posh, and freshly cleaned. I looked at the picture on her desk. It showed her with a few kids, none of them older than thirteen.

"You're children, professor?" Hermione asked politely.

"No." she said vaguely, staring at the photo.

The picture moved as the kids laughed around McGonagall, and she had a caring expression on her face.

"They're my nephews and nieces. They often visit me." McGonagall explained after a long period of silence.

"But that is not why I called you." she said sharply. "And Ronald, no food is permitted in my office. Come on, spit it into the bin."

Ron looked surprised as he spit out the glob of gum.

"Same old McGonagall." I heard him mutter.

"I need you as diplomats. An old power has risen again, the demigods. They invited us to a summer at their new camp. A especially powerful breed of wizards live there. You three, along with Sara Clearview, will be needed to stay. You will make friends with them, and report your findings to Hogwarts. Do you understand?" McGonagall explained.

"Yes, professor." we all said in unison.

A feeling of excitement filled through me. A chance at peace, and new friends. By this time tomorrow, I'd be at a new camp, one in America. This time, nothing could go wrong.

Percy POV

A messy haired boy with bright, green eyes shot a ray of light at the.. the thing. The thing was horrible, with pale glistening skin, and bright red eyes. They were just slits. It reminded me of a snake, with his horrible forked tongue.

Green light from his stick met the red light as both of them had intense looks on their faces. The red light started to overpower the green light, and the stick flew out of his hand. The messy haired guy caught it in mid air, and it was almost like the thing started to decay.

It's skin turned to ash and floated to the air. It screamed and shouted into the air, and he turned into a pile of dust.

I woke up for the second day in a row sweating, tired, and breathing heavily. I went into my bathroom and brushed my teeth. I took a quick shower, and put on some jeans and a Camp Half Blood T shirt. I threw on my dark blue zip up hoodie, because it was still pretty early, and outside was cold.

I did my lap around camp, hoping to meet someone. I didn't. I did another lap, but there was no one to be found. I decided to pick up my sword and spar. There was nobody there, so I ended up fighting the dummies. I watched as the armor came alive.

"Prepare to be defeated!" the armor said, as it picked up a sword.

On it's chest were the words, courtesy of Leo, to Percy.

"Which level do you need?" it asked me.

"Crank it up to the highest setting." I told it awkwardly.

I wasn't used to talking to random suits of armor, and I felt kind of dumb. I readied Riptide and waited for it to attack. It came at me with a huge slash, and I parried. It was relentless, and came at me, aiming for all of my weak spots.

The thing was good. It wasn't a question of if, but when it would beat me. I was struggling to keep up with the fast paced moves of the machine. I got a good stab into it's thigh, but instead of falling on the floor defeated, like most opponents would, it slashed back , and my sword clattered out of my hands.

I started to dodge and duck. The thing was still going, it's sword a blazing fury. I felt the familiar weight of Riptide in my pocket, and decided to use that to my advantage. I pretended to trip and fall on the ground, and the thing went for a death strike. Actual fear coursed through me before I remembered my plan.

I whipped out riptide, and smashed all of my force into his blade. The sword shattered, and I started to slash and stab the thing even though the battle was over. I kicked it's gut, and drove my sword into it'd chest.

Leaning on the hilt of my blade, I panted. I was getting rusty, and that thing almost killed me. I grabbed my sword out, and the thing turned over. On the back, it said to turn off, say "Leo is awesome."

"Thanks for the advice. Might have been a good idea to tell me that before I started." I muttered.

I reached for my water bottle, and internally cursed myself. I forgot it in my cabin, and I wasn't walking all the way over there. A group of kids walked into the arena, followed by Leo.

"Dude! What did you do to my beautiful invention?" he fake sobbed, grabbing onto the suit of armor.

"You're "beautiful invention" almost killed me!" I replied.

"Fair point. Well, come on, it's time to leave for Camp DemiWizard!" he shouted, tugging me along.

Once we got into the chariot, Leo started to talk my ear off about Mythomagic. Nico and Frank had gotten him into it, and now they were all addicted.

I mentally sighed as I looked at the nice, empty seat in front of me. This was going to be a long trip.
