Horses would not survive in Bavaria so they are not needed or really wanted in the North Kingdom. Beasts called Frost Hounds and Frost Cats live in the kingdom, the Frost Hounds ruling the forests of the kingdom. They are used by the royal knights and the royal family while frost cats are used by nobles and commoners. Only the horse sized frost cats are available to the nobility in the kingdom whole dog sided frost cats are used by commoners. These beast's thick furred bodies are able to withstand the cold hence being used by the people of Bavaria. The relationship between the kingdom is connected through imprinting with a someone, becoming loyal to the end and if their partner is killed the beast will slowly die from the broken bond. Imprinting and bonds with these beasts are not forced but worked on and earned. Frost Hounds are the size of bears and even hunt bears down.

Obyss- King Dimitri's loyal partner and the alpha of the pack of Frost Hounds. Dimitri met him the forest when he was 17, Dimitri saving the alpha's mate from South kingdom hunters. Thats when their imprint and bond formed.

Empress- Queen Anastasia's loyal beast and Obyss's mate. Obyss brought her to the kingdom to meet with the man that he imprinted with and with that meeting Anastasia and Empress imprinted just from the kind meeting

Rouge(pink nose) and Jacks (black nose)- Prince Alister and August's partners that are the pups of Obyss and Empress. The princess earned them at the age of 12, presents from their mother and the imprinted a few months after earning the trusts during a hunting session

Nova(white and black) and Bear- (Brown) Princess Camellia's now grown partners, they were pups when Camellia was 2 and she imprinted with them at the same time which isn't unusual for someone to imprint with more than one Frost Hound but Camellia was the first royal family member to imprint with two. Nova and Bear being alive still gave Queen Anastasia hope that Camellia was alive

Hazar- Prince Casper's loyal partner, Casper received him for his 6th birthday and imprinted with him a year later, Casper not being the best with wanting to socialize with animals let alone actual people but Hazar was the one always following the prince around and saved him from a poisonous snake, winning the prince over and imprinted with the young boi
