Chapter 10: The Sleep of Babies

Lucy slept soundly near her sister after the fiasco with Jax, Opie Drama. The kids slept on the floor as they toss and turn to get comfortable. It had been a long time since they had slept together since they were children. The sun as always was Lucy's nemesis waking her up from her beautiful slumber as always. Today was another of her days off, she wouldn't be back to work until Amara left due to a change of plans.

She left Scott in charge until she came back. She finally got up from her bed, silently not trying to wake up Amara and the kids. She headed to the bathroom where she washed her face and brush her teeth, before putting on her slippers and robe before heading down the hallway. She opened blinds, letting the bright sunlight in that she hated with a passion. She lighted a candle in her living letting the smells of vanilla and sage go through the halls.

The kitchen smelled of waffles, sunny rays of eggs and the grease of bacon filled the air. By the Time, she finished cooking, her sister and her kids came out of the room.

"Good morning Little Sister." Amara said as she walks over to get some of the coffee that was done making. The kids had grabbed their plates and went to go watch tv as the grownups talked.

"Morning, so what plans do you want to do today?" Lucy asked as she fix her and Amara's plate.

"Whatever you want to do. But who is Misha?" Amara said as she looked at her sister.

Lucy looks at her sister now remembering the events from latest week.

"Someone I know from those days. He helps me from time to time." Lucy said vaguely.

"Was he one of your clients?" Amara questioned hoping to at least know about her sister's past.

The thing Amara felt guilty about was she never protect her sister from the crazy hell of the world, from Pop. Mitchell and her felt the blowback of everything after Pop kick Lucy out the family. Even though he still gave her protection and spies mainly to keep him up to date with his sunshine of a granddaughter. But Amara knew that Pop knew what was going on in Lucy's life. But she knew more than he knew.

Like how he killed Orlando himself, torturing him in the worse ways possible making him hurt in ways for weeks, before he executed him in the back of the head. Whatever was left of Orlando swam with the fishes. Lying on his forms saying he was in jail, knowing everyone was in his pocket.

"He was but he just wanted company and not Princess Lulu. He protected me from Byron when he went crazy." Lucy stated as she handed her the plate before they sat down at the table.

"Whatever happen to Byron anyway?" Amara questioned.

"Misha put him in a mental hospital. Misha almost killed him though after he started stalking me after we broke up." Lucy replied as she ate some of her eggs.

"Wha-?!" Amara gasped as Charlie came over to them.

"Mommy, I'm done." Charlie said holding her plate to show it.

"Okay honey, go throw your plate away and make sure to use the stepping stool to wash your hands. You still have orange juice; I have to give you your medicine." Amara says to her daughter who nodded to her question before going throw away the plate like she was told.

"Yeah, Misha have him on a top lockup. He's very protective of me." Lucy expresses as she drinks her coffee.

"Are you sure it's protection or he might be in love with you?" Amara questioned causing her look at her.

"It's strictly protection.... I think" Lucy says slowly finally thinking about all those times he helped her and the little things he did.

Amara had Jaquan help Charlie take her medicine when the doorbell ringed.

"Luce are you expecting anyone." Amara said.

"No, not that I know of." Lucy shook her head as she got up to see who was at her door this early.

"Maybe it's your beau. long blonde hair, pretty blues and let's not forget that pretty smile that you like." Amara teased as Lucy sarcastically laughed before opening the door.

"Hey? Jax? What are doing here?" Lucy asked him.

"Hey Darlin' how you been?" Jax answered with a smiled which made her smile back shyly.

She could hear Amara laughing softly at her. Amara goaded happy that she knew.

"We're fine. How about you?" Lucy says looking back at Amara with a roll of her eyes at her sister.

"I'm alright sweetheart. Just things with the club." Jax stated while lightening a cigarette.

"Speaking of that how's Opie, is he okay?" Lucy questioned.

"Umm yeah the crew got together and talked about it and smooth everything over." Jax said making Lucy smile.

"I'm happy that it worked out for him." Lucy clapping her hands together folding them with an even bigger smile.

"He going to be at the homecoming for my son Abel. He wanted to say thank you". Jax replied.

"Your son coming home. Wow that's good he's finally better". Lucy spoked putting her hand on his arm which he looked at before grabbing it.

"I want you and your family to come. Maybe introduce you to Abel." Jax mentioned to her as held her hand not wanting to let go.

"Yeah, sure we'll be there later." Lucy tells him making him smile smoking the last little bit of his cigarette.

"Okay, well I'll see you later." Jax grinned his pretty boy smile as walk off to his bike. He has a lot of things to do tonight.

Lucy waved at him before he left before going inside.

"What did he want?" Amara questioned as she finished the rest of her food.

"He just invited us to his son's welcome home party." Lucy said sitting down in the chair.

"Are we going?" Amara smirked knowing her sister well.

"Yeah, just to check it out." Lucy said.

"Okay, I'll tell the kids to get their clothes out." Amara nodded calling towards the kids to get their clothes out.

"Who's going to be there?"

"His club, his mother and Tara maybe." Lucy answered as she got up to clean the kitchen.

"And Tara is?" Amara questioned again.

"Amara, you're asking too many questions. why?" Lucy question her as she turns towards her sister.

"I just want to know who's going to be my new brother-in-law in a few years. And if we are going to his son's party I need to know." Amara replied.

"Brother-in-law? And you don't need to know Tara and we is just there to show support and then we can go home." Lucy stated before finishing the kitchen.

Amara and Lucy sat on the couch, where they stayed looking at tv, having a movie day with the kids before they had to get ready to go to Abel's party.

"Have you heard from Meghan?" Amara asked Lucy as she did Charlie's hair.

"No not after I made her money for the live, I did a month ago." Lucy said to her.

"Does she know where you are? How about your Mutuals?" Amara asked.

"No, I deleted my page on the Myspace." Lucy continued watching Amara do Charlie's hair.

"Good as long she stays away from you." Amara said as she finished up Charlie's hair.

"Okay Charlie I'm done." as she taps her shoulder softly making Charlie get up.

When the time came, they were ready to go to Abel's party. Lucy drove to Jax's house with the address he sent to her. She parks in a nice spot behind a car. They all got out the car walking towards the door.

Lucy ringed the doorbell alerting everyone in the house someone was at the door. Gemma opened the door as everyone looked at Gemma who let Lucy and her family in.

"Hello everyone." Lucy waved to people the said Hey back.

Tara walks towards her since she hasn't saw her since the Kohn incident.

"Lucy, hey how are you?" Tara said as her and Lucy did a short hug.

"Tara hey. I'm fine how about you?" Lucy said as the people look on confused to when her and Tara got cozy.

"I'm okay. I haven't seen you in a while." Tara stated.

"That's good. My sister is visiting me so I'm home with her catching up. Mara come meet Tara!" Lucy said to Tara before shouting for her sister.  Amara came over from talking with Gemma who wanted to 'get to know' the sister of Lucy.

"Tara meet my sister Amara. Amara meet Tara" Lucy said as her hand gestured between the two women.

"Nice to meet you. You're really pretty." Amara said as Tara thanked her with a smile.

"So did Jax come yet with Abel?" Lucy questioned.

" No not yet he should be here soon though." Tara said.

Lucy nodded.

"I see some new faces. Who's the blonde?" Lucy questioned as she waved to Donna who smiled at her.

"That's Wendy, she used to be married to Jax and she's Abel's mother and the reason he was in the Hospital." Tara explained to them.

" Oh really, what happened?" Amara questioned.

"She was taking crank while pregnant and she had the baby prematurely. 10 weeks early" Tara said.

"Oh wow. That's horrible." Amara gasp looking at Lucy.

"Well at least he's finally coming home." Lucy said easing the tension quickly.

"Right." Tara said.

"I have to talk with Donna and Opie, I'll speak to you later." Lucy stated before walking over to the Winston family.

"Hey guys." Lucy said to them.

"Hey Lucy, we want to thank you for helping out with everything." Donna said.

"You're welcome, I want to help you more. I need a filer at my job. It's 17 dollars an hour. Five days a week/ weekends off. You get benefits. The schedules are flexible so whatever days you can't work just let me know. If you don't want it, just say no. Us girls have to stick together." Lucy offered making Donna look at Opie who had a big smile on his face. Lucy gave her a card and told her to call Monday if she wanted it.

"Thank you so much Lucy." Opie said shaking hands with Lucy who smiled at him.

" No problem, just have her call me Monday." Lucy stated as the door finally open showing Jax and baby Abel walking in the door. Everyone standing up and Charlie and Amelia stood by their mother and the boys standing by Chibs and Bobby.

People around muttering how cute baby Abel was. Jax's eyes finally fell Lucy who stood with her sister. He walks over letting her look at Abel.

"Oh, Jax he's adorable." Lucy cooed at the baby who gurgled back at her.

"Do you want to hold him?" Jax asked her, making her look at him.

"Yeah okay." Lucy said as she gave her handbag to Amara as Jax slowly put Abel in her arms.

She slowly rocks him when her started to cry a little.

"Hey. Hey little guy. You look so handsome like your daddy. Yes, you do." Lucy cooed as the baby got comfortable in her arms. Jax watch with a smile as he watched the woman he like with his son. Wendy finally saw what Tara was talking about. He didn't look at Tara how he looked at the beautiful brown skinned woman.

Gemma saw Jax kissed Lucy's forehead as they softly talk around Abel who had fallen asleep after listening to Lucy's heartbeat. Clay came over to her.

"You a'right there baby." Clay asked wrapping his arm around his beautiful wife.

"He's falling for her. They look just like a family." Gemma stated as she watched them now joined with Tara as they talk. That was a sight to see. It's like Tara gave up on being with Jax and they just became really good friends.

"At least he's happy. He's a man let him be Gem. You're his mother not his wife, you have to let him breathe. Get on her good side, learn more about her okay. She might become our new Daughter in Law." Clay replied back as she nodded scoffing at his joke.

"They would be such a good couple". Gemma's statement finally made her understood. She just needed to talk with Lucy first. No more pushing Wendy on to Jax. Jax did deserve happiness and she will see to that he got it.

Lucy looks around finding her sister talking to Chibs and the boys talking with Juice about computer stuff and the girls talking with Ellie and Donna. Her family was happy.

"Let's go put down Abel while he's asleep." Jax said as he helps her up, taking her to Abel's room.

"Your son is so cute, Jax." Lucy said Abel's head now resting on her shoulder.

"Not Handsome like me." Jax says grinning at her.

"He's that too maybe even more." Lucy teases before following Jax in Abel's room. Laying Abel down in his crib reluctantly especially when she heard Abel's little cry as he missed her body heat. She softly rubs his belly softly coos him back to sleep.

"You're good at that". Jax calls out watching her with his son.

"I have two younger siblings that I help with. I'm the middle child.' Lucy said turning to face him.

Jax and her stared at each other. Sexual Tension pretty obvious since they met.

"You're the most beautiful woman I've ever seen Darlin'. Jax said staring deep into her brown eyes.

"Thank you." Lucy says breathlessly.

"I know we still have talk about the kiss, but can I kiss you?" Jax says making her wish she could blush as she nodded slowly.

Jax dunking down to kiss the woman of his dreams. Who had a hold on him since the two met. Tongues entangling again and again as Jax tried not to sleep with her while his son was in the room. Her wrapping around his neck slowly as his hands slid down her waist reaching to touch her globes so softly. It wasn't until there was the knock on the door. Gemma's voice ringing through the door.

"Jax. Lucy. Ya'll okay in there." Gemma yelled softly.

The kissing came to a stop. Lucy slowly laughing when Jax answered back feeling like they were teenagers.

"Yeah Ma. Be right out" Jax said connecting their foreheads together. As they were holding hands by the time, they walk out.

"We thought something happen to you." Gemma says staring at the two before noticing there connected hands.

"No, Abel was getting clingy, so I had to help her put him down." Jax said trying to distract her from saying something about their hands. Jax and Lucy walk up front, people getting to go plates and leaving to go home. Opie and Donna leaving with their kids out the door. Lucy looks at Jax.

"We have to head home. I'll come by later to talk about everything. Okay?" Lucy says kissing him on the cheek.

"Okay, see you then." Jax smiles as she walks out the door with Amara and the kids.

Wendy headed towards the room where she was staying after talking with Gemma. She wanted her to not mess up the Jax's happiness.

Third Pov:

Opie and Donna switch cars that night. She wanted to help them clean up so she needed to get more towels. She told Opie she would take Lucy's help. Even though, Lucy was getting close with Jax and certain sons, Donna felt that with her things would change for the better.  One last kiss to her husband, she hops into his truck, driving off not knowing of the black SUV following her.

She stops at the lights as the red light shines brightly. Donna spotted it as a gun was aim at her, shooting the bullets faster than lighting as she was shot twice in the shoulder quickly ducking down as she was grazed by a bullet by her ear. The Adrenaline numbing her body of the pain. She felled down groaning, as the car pulled up next to her as she caught his reflection through the right-side mirror.

She couldn't believe it was Tig, who had tried to kill her.

She felt another pain in her head as she heard another car pull up to the scene as she could hear Lucy's voice.

"Amara! Get my Bag!"

"Sir, call an ambulance! NOW!

She heard the car door open.

"Donna! No!"
