Epilogue
Shoes clicked along the rooftops as the girl panted, looking back over her shoulder every now and then. When she saw nothing she momentarily paused, squatting with a huff, her hands going to the choker around her neck. It replaced the old one she had, this one being a bright blue, studs decorating the edges until it met with a dark blue crystal flower.
A smile decorated her face as she absentmindedly traced the petals, the crystal nice and soft against her fingertips. It was a new habit she picked up rather quickly after getting it, just tracing the petal tips and smiling. Remembering all the events that lead up to this moment, all the heartache, all the turmoil- all the shit she was as of right now. The ground shook below her, the now 16 year old being thrown into full gear as she took of running once more.
Oh she was in so much trouble if she was caught. So, so, so much trouble. But at this point, she didn't care, her heart was set on the delicious pastries she was craving. She skipped a meeting, lunch with her fiance, a spa day with their commanding general, and probably a bunch of other stuff she was supposed to do with her brother. Oh well.
A wall of rock soon erupted in between the gap of the house she was on and the next one, but it was quickly diminished with a swipe of her hand. She continued running, her destination in sight. She was soooo close. She could practically taste it. And it tasted sweet. Another obstacle was thrown in her way, this time a thing of ice directed towards her feet.
It once again was an easy dodge, the teen flipping over it, using a burst of air to hurdle herself to the next roof. This was the last roof between her and her delicious sweets. If she had a tail it would for sure be wagging by now.
She was nearing the edge of the last roof, the last thing between her and her dessert.
She was going to have her cake and eat it too, dammit!
With a final flip, the girl prepped herself to land, deeming this a victory for herself. She'd get her sweet, make a swift exit, and reappear by dinner, where she would, ya, get a scolding, but get off mostly scot free. Most likely. Maybe.
Depends what mood Aang's in.
She yelped when she was not met with the ground, but she was caught in a pair of arms, a deep chuckle escaping her captor. "You didn't really think you'd get far, did you?"
She huffed, blowing a strand of fawn hair out of her face. "I just wanted a cinnamon bun!"
A whine escaped her as several more people surrounded her.
"You do know the royal chefs could prepare you one, right?" A raven with a scar over his eye, top knot in his hair, stepped up, brow raised.
"You kNow- Shut it, Zuko." Asha mocked from her place in Aang's arms. She was quickly set down, which was a mistake on his part as she once again took off, headed for the bakery's entrance. It was only a rough tug on her shirt collar that stopped her, another chuckle coming from Aang.
"Come on, we've been dating for four years, I know how you think, love." He smirked while she looked to him, a pout on her lips.
Another male spoke up, "You skipped our monthly spa visit for this?" Sokka whined, gesturing to the bakery behind them.
"And a meeting with the royal guard." The raven male, Zuko, crossed his arms. A female soon came up beside Zuko, kissing his cheek and smiling up at him, the choker around her neck gleaming in the sunlight.
"To be completely fair, this bakery is absolutely remarkable." Katara chirped, watching as Asha looked up, a pout on her lips, eyes wide.
"That good, eh?" Aang looked down to her, biting the corner of his mouth as she gave him puppy eyes.
He groaned before turning and walking the excited girl into the bakery.

Walking down the wedding isle was a whole new experience in and of itself, and Asha could feel the butterflies grow within her stomach.
Her hair was up in an elegant bun and her dress was long enough to drag against the ground. Her veil didn't cover her face, but fell in two long layers down her back.
"Are you ready?" Zuko looked down to her, holding his arm out for her to latch onto.
She took a breath, before grinning, locking their arms together. Soft music began playing, signaling their cue, the two quickly opening the palace doors. A long white carpet was met at her feet, leading all the way to the flower arch where her and Aang where to tie the knot, Sokka agreeing to officiate.
Aang was in a traditional white kimono, his wooden pendant on. His facial features were glazed over in shock, the boy quickly registering as he shook his head. A proud smile soon was on his face, tears soon gathering in his eyes as she grew closer. Asha felt her own tears start to pool as she and Aang looked to each other, unbelievably happy.
"You take care of her, she's the last sister I have." Zuko growled, watching as Aang took Asha's small hands, holding her close as the fire lord stepped away.
" Always." Aang smirked before allowing himself and Asha to turn to Sokka.
Minutes passed as vows were exchanged, tears shed, jokes shared- 'You two are already bound by the soul, why do you need this again?' 'Cause Aang owes me for saving Appa.' 'That was years ago!'- and finally it was time for the rings.
Momo and Zulu- the raptor now much taller than the lemur- had pillows on each of their person (Zulu's wrapped around her back, Momo holding his), presented the rings to the the two, who took it with a thank you. Asha laughed as she ruffled Momo's fur, taking the ring Aang picked out for himself, while Aang took the ring Asha picked, patting the raptors head.
"Now, do you, Avatar Aang, take Onsra Asha to be your wife- like she already wasn't?" Sokka rolled his eyes, watching with silent pride as the two looked to each other with love in their eyes.
It was actually almost gross.
"I do." Aang smiled while sliding the beautiful ring of metal on her finger, using his other hand to wipe away a few stray tears.
"Beautiful. Now, Asha, do I gotta repeat?"
She shook her head while sliding the ring on Aang's finger, quickly launching herself at him. The two connected their lips in a passion filled kiss, sealing their promise to each other.
The crowd behind them cheered, their group of friends clapping and cheering from beside them.
As they separated, they looked to each other, breathless and undoubtedly happy.
"If I didn't make it obvious, I do."

"My god, if you get out of this alive Sokka, I'm gonna kill you." Asha growled, struggling to crouch, her very pregnant stomach proving to be a pain in the butt. The child that was growing in her uterus as of currently was kicking her ribs.
He had gotten in way to deep with a criminal gang of Earth benders, forcing Aang, Toph, Raiko and Zuko to come to the rescue. Unfortunately for them, they planned for that, somehow capturing those four as well.
Suki would've helped as well, but she was watching Toph and Katara's kids. Katara was right beside Asha, still trying to convince her to go home.
"You could pop any minute, you should go home Ash!" Katara quietly whined, watching as the girl took a labored breath, clutching her back.
"No. Once we get out them out of here, I'll go home."
The duo continued on their journey in silence, keeping an eye out for any of their friends or lovers. When they found them, they rolled their eyes at the cliche set-up.
It was a wonder they caught even Sokka.
Well, Asha was always the more level headed one, choosing to think things through before rushing straight in. That's most likely what got them caught.
With an eye roll, the two girls were able to stealthily freeze and trap all the offenders, with a few hiccups along the way of course. The small pain that's been flaring in Asha's stomach was steadily increasing on the pain scale, there were some breaks in between them, but there were no more than five minutes.
Oh dear god, was she in labor? Was her and Aang's child ready to see the world? She had been waiting to see their child, but not in a place like this!
"Ash, you okay?" Katara looked to the panting brunette, placing a hand on her shoulder.
"How did you know you were in labor?" Her blue crystals peered up, trying to hide the pain behind them.
Katara was quickly closing in on Asha, hand flying to the Onsra's swollen tummy. "Asha are you-"
"No. Their just cramps. I was just... Curious. Come on, we gotta free the others." The brunette waved off the water bender, already making their way to their tied up companions.
"What are you two doing here? Ash, you should be at home!" Aang was quick to wrap the woman up in his arms, checking her over for any visible injuries.
She was silent while he did, only watching as she tried to calm her rising nerves, a small trickle making her pants wet.
"Ash?"
"My water just broke."

"Aang, when this is over I'm gonna kill you!" Asha yelled out in pain, clutching the Avatar's hand, causing him to wince. He's saved the world, and the think that was gonna take him out, was his pregnant wife.
"I advise you to push, Onsra-"
"Don't tell me what to do!" The poor nurse helping looked petrified, Aang trying to calm the woman from Asha's side. Nevertheless, Asha did as advised, squeezing her husband's hand impossibly tighter as she did.
Yells and screams of pain left the girl until, finally, it all stopped. The only thing that replaced it was a baby's cry of life, one that brought smiles to both new parents' faces.
"It's a boy!"
The child was placed gently on Asha's chest as tears strolled down her cheeks, nuzzling the small babe.
"I'm so proud of you, Ash." Aang chuckled, tears streaming down his face as well. He leaned down, giving Asha a proud and happy kiss. A small cry interrupting them. The two separated while Aang chuckled, bringing a hand to the infants head, soon giving it a small kiss.
"Look who's got his mother's jealousy already." Aang laughed again, watching as Asha rolled her eyes.
The door then slammed open, two kids (Toph and Raiko's daughter, Lin, and Zuko and Katara's son, Eiji) running in full of excitement about their new playmate. Katara was quick to follow, giving Asha a hug as she passed, rounding up her excited child soon after. Next to come in was Sokka and Zuko, Toph pushing past them real fast. She pushed Sokka out of the way, wrapping Asha in a tight hug, of course being mindful of the baby in her arms.
"If you go into labor on a mission again, I will personally destroy you." Toph growled.
"She shouldn't have been out there in the first place." Aang muttered, eyeing Asha, who payed him no mind.
Zuko quickly walked up to Asha, giving her a side hug while caressing the child's head, much like Aang had done earlier; Asha hugged back, watching as Sokka walked over to Aang. "Congrats, Aang."
"So, what did ya name the munchkin?" Raiko was the last to step in, smiling at the scene before him. He and Toph already had their day, Zuko and Katara had theirs, and now it was Aang and Asha's.
Aang gave Asha a small kiss to her temple before answering.
"Meet Bumi."
