{Michael's POV}

It's been hard? Bad? Rough adjusting to life again. I mean I was in a coma for 3 months. I've started living with Bobby which isn't all that different other than the whole not abusing me thing. I've helped Lucifer and he's started eating and sleeping again and stopped cutting. Our relationship is back to normal and my relationship with him and my friends is better than ever. If I hadn't bumped into Lucifer that day, I wouldn't be here right now. He really did save my life. I've even stopped cutting. My scars are healing up a bit and I even got a therapist to help me work through my issues. Oh, and I've developed a probably irrational fear of fire escapes but come on, I did fall from a window. Well correction, I was thrown.

My father went to trial and was convicted for years of child abuse and attempted murder. Can you believe that none of my family even wanted me? I knew they were upset about my mother dying but they really just shut me out of their lives completely. I mean if they don't want me I'm fine with it. I have people that love me and care for me that I love and care for. Sure I still have depression but it will get better because there's no way it can get any worse than being thrown out of a window. However I can't just expect all my problems to disappear overnight. I've got to work at it.

Lucifer and I are helping each other. Charlie and Kevin are helping us. Gabe, Jack and Bobby are helping us. All our friends are helping us. With each other we can get through this. Now it's almost March. I missed Christmas, my favorite holiday and the only real joy I used to have. But Lucifer decided that we should have a late Christmas so I'm headed to his apartment right now to meet up with everyone.

I knock on the door which now has a wreath on it. He opens it and smiles.

"Hey" He says.

"Hey" I reply. He grabs my hand and we step inside where he has a Christmas tree with presents under it and several other decorations. Charlie, Kevin, Gabe, Jack, Dorothy, Channing, Sam and Clark are all hanging around his living room wearing Christmas sweaters and Charlie is wearing reindeer antlers.

"Hiya Mike!" She squeals as she jumps up and hugs me.

"Hey Charlie" I say hugging her back tightly. Ever since she snapped me out of my coma she has made it a point to hug me and tell me how much she loves me everyday.

"Well what do you think?" Kevin asks gesturing to the room.

"It looks great, thank you all so much" I reply. Gabe smiles.

"No problem" he says.

We all hang out watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas song for a couple hours. Finally it's time for presents. We decided to do secret Santa because it would be easier than everyone buying each other gifts.

I got Gabe, I don't really know much about him other than that he likes candy so that's what I got him. Pretty basic but I just hope he likes it.

"I'm going first" Gabe says confidently. He gets a small package from under the tree and hand it to Jack who opens it carefully.

"Nougat" He says happily. Next he gets a long, thin package from under the tree and hands it to Charlie. She grows a huge smile and rips the package open. She gasps.

"A Legand of Zelda Master Sword replica!" She screams. She carefully placed the package down and jumps onto Jack, hugging him. Jack smiles widely, pleased that he made Charlie happy. Charlie let's go of Jack and gets a small rectangular box from under the tree and hands it to me. I open it.

"An iPhone! Charlie take this back to the store do you know how much these things cost!" I yell. She smiles.

"Don't worry about it, we all pitched in to get it for you and Bobby said he would pay for the phone plan. Gabe got you Netflix and Lucifer got you Spotify premium" she says. I'm brought to tears.

"Thank you all so much" I say hugging into Lucifer's side.

"You're welcome Mikey" he says. Next I grab my gift bag and hand it to Gabe. He starts taking things out one by one. Ok, getting him 'some candy' may have been an understatement. I kind of bought one of everything. Yeah apparently my dad had a secret bank account where we kept all of his money which was, a lot. So I'm much better off now. I figured I would pay it forward.

"Wow Michael, thanks" Gabe says giving me a hug.

"No problem" I say.

"I already went so who goes next?" Gabe asks.

"I'll go" Dorothy says. She grabs a book shaped box from under the tree and hands it to Channing.

"Alexander Hamilton by Ron Chernow, I've been wanting to read this. How did you know?" She asks.

"Lucky guess" Dorothy replies.

"I found it in the clearance bin" she whispers to me and I try very hard to suppress my laughter. That should not be funny. Channing picks up a shirt box and hands it to Clark who opens it happily. He pulls out a black, canvas jacket.

"Thanks Channing" He says giving her finger guns. He picks up a large, flat package and hands it to Sam. He opens it and starts laughing uncontrollably. Clark starts laughing too and we all just stare at them because we have no idea what's in the frame. After he stops laughing Sam turns it around to reveal and picture of a moose with Sam's face edited on it. We all burst out laughing. This lasts for a few minutes before Sam picks up a box and handing to Dorothy. She opens it and smiles.

"Dammit Sam, you're the best" she says showing us a pair of red high top converse.

"Now I feel bad for getting Channing's gift on clearance" she says.

"You what?" Channing asks.

"Nothing" Dorothy replies.

"Wait then that means..." Lucifer starts.

"We got each other" Kevin finishes. They both go and pick up totally opposite packages. Lucifer hands Kevin a large poorly wrapped gift while Kevin gives Lucifer a small almost expertly wrapped one. Lucifer opens his first. It's a bracelet, a small silver chain with a plate in the center.

"AKF. What does that mean?" He asks reading the plate.

"Always keep fighting. I just thought that with everything that you've been through it might be nice to have a little reminder that you are worth something to so many people" Kevin replies. Lucifer drops the gift and clings on to Kevin, hugging him the tightest I've ever seen him hug as tears escape from his eyes.

"Thank you" he says softly. He picks the gift back up and Kevin helps him put it on. He comes back over and sits down next to me, giving me a quick but passionate kiss on the lips before laying back into the couch.

Kevin sets his box on the ground and opens it. He pulls out a bunch of plain DVD cases with white DVDs marked in black sharpie.

"What are these?" He asks gesturing to the box full of them.

"Well my mom knows a guy who knows a guy who is cousins with another guy who is best friends with an attending surgeon at a hospital in Seattle who was willing to get me copies of every surgery he's ever performed on DVD" Lucifer explains and Kevin's face lights up.

"You mean these are actual filmed surgeries?" He asks. Lucifer nods.

"Can we watch one?" He asks.

"Oooh yes let's do it!" Charlie exclaims. Reluctantly, we all agree to watching a brain surgery where he takes out a bullet from a guy's brain. It was.....really gross. I think Jack threw up but I wasn't really paying attention because I was hiding my face the entire time. After a little bit Lucifer grabs my hand and takes me into the kitchen.

"Hey" He says as he looks to the mistletoe attached to the doorframe.

"Hey" I say. We lean into the kiss and it's just perfect. Honestly it's all perfect. My life is perfect. Well not exactly. It has some flaws but, pretty perfect.

But as my wise friend Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Only in the darkness can you see the stars."

Yay I hope everyone enjoyed this semi-long chapter and the book as a whole. There probably won't be a sequel but maybe I'll do a little "10 years later" special edition chapter or something like that.
