Chapter Four: Decieving Family, Pressurized

Before anyone could say a single word, a helicopter comes flying by. "To anyone who can hear this, proceed to Mercy Hospital for evacuation. Repeat! Proceed to Mercy Hospital for evacuation." Callie reloaded her ammo and took a health kit. "The subway can take us straight to Mercy Hospital." Louis told everyone as he got one of the guns that sat on the table. "Might not be a bad idea to get off the street." Bill opened up the door that was on the roof and they all headed down together.

Callie searched the rooms for anything remotely useful as she took down a row of zombies. Heading into the bedroom, she finds herself another Molotov. All of a sudden, they hear wheezing and coughing. "Smoker around here." Zoey kept a lookout for it. Callie did too, having a pistol and her machete on her. Then she felt the long tongue on her, being dragged away. The others we're about to shoot it but Callie got her arm free and uses the machete to cut off it's tongue before shooting it and smoke going everywhere. Everyone just stood there in shock. "Told you I don't need no hand outs."

They all made their way down the apartment complex and back outside. The rain did happen to stop. Bill led them out of the alleyway. "The Subway station should be around the corner." Louis spoke and then searched around the hallway and finds a medicine cabinet. He opens it and finds some pills. "Pills here!" He takes them and Callie snickered. "Obsessed much?" She teased as the gang made their way to the subway station without setting off the car that was flashing a bit. Zoey gets everyone inside before shutting the door. "Sweet!"

Callie looked around the place. She sits down on the ground for a moment and takes out a picture of her family plus an extra one of what looked to be a golden wreath headdress. "So Callie, huh? Would Cal sound any better to you?" Francis crossed his arms and she looked up to him. "Yeah. That'd be fine." She wasn't that much of a talker in this moment. "Not a talker I see. Same. I hate long conversation." Callie lets out a little laugh. "Ok, I don't mean to laugh, but that was funny."

Bill looks into the subway to see more zombies, one just walking in the fire. "Ah shit. I'd thought the subway wouldn't be full of zombies." Callie got up, feeling a little nervous, but she really doesn't show it as she puts the picture back in her pocket. Zoey got a glimpse of it and went to her. "A golden wreath headdress huh? What's the worth of that?" "Oh it's just a silly little tale my father would tell me all the time as a kid about this "Angel of Light" person." Callie explained as she opened up the door. "My grandmother forbade him to ever speak of such a thing so he cut off all contacts with her when he moved to America."

"A religious nut.. that's why you never get along with or get involved in any of their stuff." Louis approached Callie after she shot down all the zombies in their way. "Hey, are you good? You seem a bit uneasy. We got to think positive." She immediately laughed and said "Me? Nervous, hell no Louis. I'm not nervous." Her eye twitched slightly as she got serious again. "I'm the strong one, I'm not nervous. I'm as tough as the crust of the earth is." The group head down the stairs and grabbed new guns. "I move mountains, I move churches, And I glow 'cause I know what my worth is. I don't ask how hard the work is! Got a rough indestructible surface. Diamonds and platinum, I find 'em, I flatten 'em. I take what I'm handed, I break what's demanded, But-"

A horde of zombies began running to them and Francis throws a pipe bomb he found. Callie stayed by his side as she continues her talking. "Under the surface, I feel berserk as a tightrope walker in a three-ring circus! Under the surface.. Was Hercules ever like "Yo, I don't wanna fight Cerberus"?" Callie runs up the stairs and shoves a boomer back before shooting it, letting it explode. "Under the surface, I'm pretty sure I'm worthless if I can't be of service. A flaw or a crack, The straw in the stack, That breaks the camel's back! What breaks the camel's back it's Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop.. whoa." A hunter lunged at her and was about to start clawing at her but Zoey got it off of her.

"Pressure that'll tip, tip, tip 'till you just go pop, whoa! Give it to Ms. Hansen, she is wiser, not older! So Give her all the heavy things we can't shoulder. Who am I if I can't run with the ball? If I fall to, Pressure like a grip, grip, grip and it won't let go, whoa!" The group made their way through the subway. A tank began running to them as Bill shouts "Tank!" "Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow, whoa! Give it to Ms. Callie, Cause she is stronger! See if she can hang on a little longer! Who am I if I can't carry it all? If I falter!" They shot at the tank but Callie gets smacked into a pillar. She wipes some blood running from her forehead and she downs some of the pills she found to ease the pain.

"Under the surface. I hide my nerves, and it worsens, I worry something is gonna hurt us." They make their way into the maintenance room and Zoey presses the button. "Under the surface. The ship doesn't swerve as it heard how big the iceberg is! Under the surface, I think about my purpose, can I somehow preserve this? Line up the dominoes, A light wind blows! You try to stop it tumbling. But on and on it goes- But wait!" Callie felt the world stop around them as a fantasy of where they were ok enters her mind. "If I could shake the crushing weight of expectations.. Would that free some room up for joy? Or relaxation, or simple pleasure?"

The reality hits her again as they continued getting their way through all of the zombies. "Instead we measure this growing pressure." After they search the rooms, Louis sees the same helicopter and shows the group as it goes by. "Keeps growing, keep going, Cause all we know is- Pressure like a drip, drip, drip that'll never stop, whoa." Callie slides down the railing of the stairs and then the bodies pile up as she carries them all. "Pressure that'll tip, tip, tip 'til you just go pop, whoa-oh-oh! Give it to a Hansen, it doesn't hurt! And see if she can handle every family's burden!! Watch as she buckles and bends but never breaks.." They spot a pawn shop in the distance as Callie smirked slightly, getting the confidence she needed back. "No mistakes!"

All five of them began running towards it, Callie doing several flips. "It's just Pressure like a grip, grip, grip and it won't let go, whoa! Pressure like a tick, tick, tick 'til it's ready to blow, whoa! Give it to Callie Hansen and never wonder, If the same pressure would've pulled you under! So Who am I if I don't have what it takes? No cracks, no breaks! No mistakes, no pressure!" Callie shuts the door behind her as they were okay once again. She heals herself up while they caught their breaths
