part two - xl.

Mat

Two and half weeks later.

Killian and I walked down the one hallway of the apartment building that was getting constructed on to add more protection security. The locks on the loft rooms have been taken out and replaced with number codes you can only open from the outside. Once we can trust them enough, we'll take the locks off for them to open freely when they want. Cameras were placed outside the hallways and bras on the window. It seemed unfair but it's for everyone safety. Step after step.

"Things are looking so good." Killian said as he looked in each rooms as we passed. "Rooms are set up with cozy for them."

"I doubt they'll use the beds at first. Spent their whole lives sleeping on the dirt ground." I said and he chuckled.

"Once they sleep on a pillow they'll love it." he said. "Why are their mirrors in the rooms though?"

I shrugged, "I learnt the things were interested. They never seen their reflection before other than in water sometimes. Many of the things Aeriela liked I have bagged up ready to give them to them. Also allot of the woman want their hair cut. Like almost all the way off to a pixie cut. They can't get brushes through their hairs so their getting it chopped off."

"A fresh start to a new life." Killian said. "How are the children in North Dakota?"

"Good. Their loving the farm and of course TV like any other would. I knew they'll adapt quicker than the adults." I said. "After everything in the building completed, my last add on will be a little playground outside so they can run and stretch those legs."

"They'll like that." he said. He grabbed my hand as he stopped and turned me to face him as he smiled, "We should head on home though. Finish packing for our trip. We do leave tomorrow night remember?"

I smiled, "I know. I just have to sign some papers and we can leave okay crybaby?"

He wrapped his arm around me as we headed over to the elevator, "Good." he said as he pressed the buttons.

Once we made it downstairs in the lobby where Devin construction team was Devin walked over with some papers and telling me what's written. As I breathed, the strong fumes from the paint got to me. It quickly gave me a headache and a bit lightweight which I found so strange.

"Mat," Devin said loudly and I looked up at him since I hadn't realized he been speaking to me. "You heard me?"

"Uh. . .papers, yeah. Hand me a pen and I'll-" I felt this weird feeling in my throat but I forced it down. I smiled, "I'll sign them. I trust you to know you wouldn't trick or an-Christ what kind of paint do you guys use?" I asked before hurrying outside. I rubbed my heavy eyes like I was a bit sleepy. Breathing in fresh air, the fainting spell gone away.

Killian rushed out with Devin, "Mat, you okay?" he asked, rubbing my back.

I rubbed my aching head, "Yeah, just been stressed still. I haven't eaten much today and it's all getting to me finally. My stomach also been feeling sick."

"Here," Devin said, holding the papers to Killian. "Just take her home and sign them. I'll come around later for them." He put his hand on my shoulder, "You really need this vacation. Try stressing less, Mat."

I chewed on the turkey bacon sandwich I made but I only took a few bites before my stomach disagreed with me. I set it down on the plate and pushed it away on my desk. I tried to push the nauseated feeling away by keeping myself busy. I grabbed the papers Devin gave me to sign but it was hard to focus when you wanted to throw up.

Suddenly the feeling got stronger and I paused at writing. I turned my chair and grabbed the trash can next to my desk just in time before I puked my sandwich up. I don't usually throw up, so it was very horrible experience. I groaned heavily, "Eww, this is so gross." I said as I wipe across my mouth. I held my hand against my nose as I put the trash can down and stood up.

I turned around and leaned against the desk as I took a few deep breathes. My head tossed back as I calmed my racing heart until it hit me strong in the face. The only thing that could be possible.

My eyes opened, I'm pregnant.

And already I was filled with so many emotions. My legs gave out on me and I dropped to me knees as my hand grabbed onto the desk. The idea processed in my head but it could be the only salutation, right? I mean I don't just usually throw up for no reason why. I have been feeling sick but not in a fever kind of way. Like I been wanting to throw up but it just wouldn't happen.Wolves do get periods but their very light but I now realized it's been a couple day overdue.

I didn't think I would feel so-happy? Joyful? My hands actually shock and I started giggling at the thought. I didn't think it would happen since I was putting stress to my body lately, thinking maybe that's why it also wasn't working.I was also very scared and nervous. I never been pregnant before, I didn't know anything that was gonna come. I mean, I did but I don't know how to handle it now that's it me. All these panicking thoughts rushed into my brain.

*

I had rushed out to the pharmacy because I needed a test. When I got home, I was to impatient to wait until tomorrow morning to take them. I grabbed a plastic cup and took all six different test. I sat down on the bathroom floor with a towel covering the results until five minutes was up.

Taking a deep breath and holding it, I removed the towel with a smile. I stared down at four negative results and two positive. All my happiness quickly disappeared and was filled with utter confusion. I was so confused with my answer because there was a mix but more negatives. Which one is it? Am I pregnant? Are the negatives a false or are the positives false?

I tapped my fingers against the floor as I stared at them trying to think of what to do. I wasn't sure now if I wanted to show them to Killian just because of the unanswered question. Sighing heavily, I picked the test up and walked out of my bathroom. I walked over to my bed and placed them on the stand next to my bed.

Essie, the back healer, rubbed her hand around my bare stomach. I arched my eyebrow as she moved and I was beginning to think maybe I should have just waited to see a human doctor, "You womb is ready for a cub. It is far too early to tell if you are though. Give it a few more weeks."

I huffed, "Essie, that doesn't calm my nerves. I been feeling stressed lately but I know it couldn't cause me feeling lightheaded and throwing up. Am I pregnant or not?"

She looked down at my stomach, "I can usually tell these things but Alpha Matilda your body is different than the others. You have a much stronger body, it's resisting me from seeing any life sense inside of you. I would suggest a human doctor and take a blood taste."

"But the doctors are closed on the weekend and we're leaving for two weeks. It's why I called you." I said. I pouted as I took her hand, "Essie, in your own mind what do you think? You know Killian and I been trying. Calm my nerves please?"

She stared at me for a moment before a small smile appeared, "Your hair looks thicker, you're glowing a bit more, and you it could be a cub making you throw up and not stress. Yes, I do think you are. You still gotten positives on the test. My advice is release all this stress from your body on this trip and the moment you get back I'm sure I can give you an answer." she said, running her hand through my hair. She grinned, "Please enjoy this honeymoon because after you have this cub you won't have much free time." she said, making me smile at her.

*

When I heard the door to the house open, I quickly stood up from the kitchen table. "Hey Mat, I'm home." I heard Killian say as he walked through the dining room to the kitchen. He opened the door in his work clothes, "I picked us up some amazing burritos from that new Mexican restaurant with chips and salsa-" he cut himself when he looked at me then the table where I had the pregnancy test. He slowly walked over, setting the brown paper bag on the table. He looked down at the test and arched his eyebrow, "I'm so confused."

I chuckled, "I was also. But I called Essie and she thinks because I been a little stressed lately that what gave me a false negative."

A big smile broke out on his face, "So you're pregnant?"

I wanted to tell him yes, the way his blue and golden eyes sparkling with joy is something I been waiting to see. I haven't seen Killian look this happy in such a long time that it felt wrong to tell him I don't know but to let him think I was is also wrong. I couldn't keep the smile on my face, "I. . .don't know one hundred percent." I said, making the smile from his face and those sparkling blue eyes disappear. "I know like eight percent though I am!"

He scoffed, "Eighty?"

I shrugged, "Still a high number." I forced a big smile on my face as I put my hands on his shoulders and rubbed them, "But Killian, I threw up today. I haven't gotten my period. Essie says my hair thicker and I'm even glowing. She just couldn't tell because my body is more-I don't know-different from the rest of the girls. She says to let us enjoy this honeymoon and once we get back, she'll know for sure because I'll be all clean from any kind of stress."

He sighed heavily, "But Mat. . .I don't wanna come back and you're not. That'll be so disappointing."

I stared at him for a moment before nodding and dropped my hands, "I know, I know." I said as I sat back down in the chair. "Probably help if my body wasn't so difficult."

"Mat, I'm not blaming you for this." he said. He grabbed a chair and pulled it over towards me, "Look, we already talked about how we'll deal with it this thing ever happened. It'll suck at first but we'll just keep on trying." He cupped my face in his hand and smiled at me, "Lets eat and finish packing for Georgia. We got a busy day tomorrow making sure Will and Clyde got everything prepared to take care of the pack before we leave tomorrow at nine.If Essie says you are, then you are. She's never been wrong in the last fifty years."

Aeriela

When the day came to get on the plane, I was nervously chewing on my nails. I have never been on a plane and I don't think it's natural to be that high in the air if you're supposed to remain on the ground! Also we're gonna be in the air for a long time and my nerves were a wreck. Why'd I agree to this stupid trip?

Oh because Zakaria talked me into it.

Mat placed her hand on my shaking body chuckling, "Relax, Ellie. I made sure this is gonna be a very relax experience for you. You're gonna enjoy first class. Once we get in the air, you can lay back watching a movie. Essie gave me these herbs to call your nerves and trust me they work. I go to her when I get headaches. Also, if you feel any kind of body changes like you might shift I got this pill she made to slow it until we hit land."

I scoffed, "Now what if I can't tell it's my shift? Or that I'm so nervous it's actually my shift but I just think it's my nerves playing tricks on me and I turn on the plan. Or-"

"I'll go make this now for you." she said, chuckling. "Also if you shift starts, it'll work through the herbs."

I grabbed her hand as she got up, "Wait Mat. What if my shift doesn't happen this year? What if I'm actually a year younger? I was always told I been on this world for fifteen years and every spring I get a year older but that's before I met you. Wild wolves don't keep tracks of dates and they missed up-"

"Ellie." she said loudly, cutting me off. "I can sensea wolf in you, you are almost eighteen. It just hasn't broke through that human spirit of yours yet. So maybe they were wrong but about the season. Maybe it's summer. It sure as hell fell like summer now that it's the end of spring. Relax, chill."

Killian walked over quietly and he sat down looking like something was on his mind. Mat turned to him, "Kill, you alright?"

His eyes widen as he looked up at her, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just nervous, never been on a plane for 16 hours."

Mat chuckled, "You chickens." she said before walking away.

*

So whatever Essie gave Mat worked because as I sat on the plane chair, my muscles felt very relax. It's like whatever was in my body just made me lazy and unable to focus a little. Mat placed some headphones on my ears played a movie and I stared at it. I felt maybe a little too relaxed but it was better than my nerves being jittery.

Mat shook my hand and held a drink out to me. I smiled as she handed me some soda but when I took a sip there was a strong taste in my mouth and I quickly smiled it. I threw the headphones off, "What is in this?"

She chuckled as she leaned over, "My remedy. A little vodka to calm you down more. Look at Killian, he's so focused on what movie he wants to watch." I leaned over and Killian was indeed staring close to the screen flipping through the movie choice with such focus tapping his finger against his lip.

After about an hour, my back was getting stiff was just sitting there. I tapped Mat shoulder and told her I was gonna stretch my legs. Stepped out of first class, I stepped through to what they call 'coach' which had a bunch more people than first class. Hmm, first class must be more expensive. I walked down the left isle, bring my hand up behind my head as I stretched.

Smiling and humming as I walked down the isle, I felt as if someone was watching me. Slowly my pace, I turned my head to the right where in the middle row of people was I saw a man turn his head quickly. He was wearing a basement cap and a large black jacket. He was lowering his head, blocking half his face with his cap. Something though about him made him stand out and I grimace as I stared at him.

I stepped over and leaned over the woman next to him who gasped in surprise but I ignored her as I stared at the guy who leaned away from me. Knowing there was something suspicious about him, I grabbed his cap and pulled it off.

Ulric stared right at me with those wide blue eyes. I cried out in surprise as I pushed myself up and stumbled back falling into the older man lap on the window seats. Everyone in coach gasped, crying out in fear as they got up and looked at me.

My chest rose heavily as I stared at Ulric who quickly got up and pulled me off the man lap who was trying to lift me up. I pushed Ulric away, "You bastard!" I yelled at him. "You're following us?"

"I-I-Aeriela let me explain. I only did this because-" The curtain leading from first class opened and Mat came out. Her eyes widen as she looked at us before they turned cold. She walked over towards a nervous looking Ulric and grabbed him by his neck.

"Excuse us everyone." she said as she dragged him towards first class. "Please forgive us. Free deserts on my behalf." She pulled Ulric into first class and threw him on the floor. When he tried to get back up, Mat growled at him and he stayed down, "Explain to me why I should throw you out of this plane!

Killian got up from his seat, drunk from his alcoholic drinks, "Oh man, you were supposed to stay hidden!"

I gasped as Mat growled, "You knew he was on this plane!"

Killian pointed at Ulric, "I didn't-okay, I did! But only when we arrived at the airport. I caught him hiding and there was no way he could get his money back.He promised to keep himself hidden at least until we made it and to never mention me."

She growled, "So that's why you looked nervous! Not because of the plane ride but because of your idiot cousin." she said, making him lower his head.

I glared at Ulric, "Why Ulric? Why are you following us?"

"And costing me allot of money. You know how many people are out there?" Mat growled.

Ulric sighed, "I just wanted to make sure. . .look, I have my reasons."

Mat bared her teeth, "Answer you little twit."

Ulric breathed out heavily as he looked up at Mat and I before huffing, "I wanted to make sure this Zakaria guy was good enough. Look Aeriela, I know you don't want me back but that doesn't mean I don't care about you. It'll relax me knowing this guy is the right guy for you at least. Knowing you'll be happy and loved, if he could love you better than I-"

"Oh stop with this romantic bullshit." Mat growled at him. "You wanted to be noisy!"

"No-okay a little but I really meant it." Ulric said. "Ellie, hate me for doing this but just prove to me he's the better deal."

"If he wasn't I'm still not going back to you." I growled at him. "You better head straight back once this plane lands!"

He shook his head, "I already made my decision." he said, making me scoff and I looked at Mat for her to do something. "Also, I paid allot of money I can't get back."

"How ironic." I sarcastically said.

"Alpha Matilda, Aeriela look I promise I'll stay out of the way as best as I can. I'm simply just joining this trip to explore somewhere else than America. Come on, you can trust me." he said. I looked at Mat, shaking my head hoping she'll make him go home no matter what.

Mat brought her hands up to her head as she groaned, "I'm supposed to be enjoying this trip!" She reached down and grabbed Ulric, lifting him up, "Look here, if you weren't Killian cousin I would punish you for doing this. Just. . .go. Go back to your seat and I will figure out what to do with you when we land."

I huffed as I looked at her, "That's all?"

She closed her eyes as she sighed, "Yes. Ellie, I don't wanna hear it from you either. Just get over it." she said as she pushed a drunk Killian back in his seat and she sat back on hers. I stood there with my mouth hanging open before I looked up at Ulric and crossed my arms over my chest stubbornly as I glared up at him. He gave me an apologetic look before walking around me back to coach.
