I scream. A nest of tracker jackers just landed on me and the other Careers. We run, trying to escape. I feel them stinging my face and body. I scream even louder. 

Everything happens in a blur after that. I fall to the ground. Katniss Everdeen, the tribute from District 12 and supposed girlfriend to Peeta Mellark, is trying to take the bow away from me. I open my eyes, and I see Katniss looking down at me. I can't speak, so I try to ask her with my eyes to help me. I then black out.

I wake up in a new area under some trees. A small vile comes down towards me, and I grab it. It's probably for Katniss, who I just notice is asleep right next to me. She must have saved me!

I set the vile next to me and force myself into a sitting position, gasping in pain. The pain is mainly on my face and arms. I painfully lift my hand up to my face and gasp. My skin has swollen up into huge bumps. 

The venom from the tracker jackers has made my vision hazy. Katniss, although she's right next to me, looks like a blur of green and brown. She moves a bit. I jump, and then wince from the pain it caused me. 

I have no idea where we are. It seems like the middle of the woods since there's blurs of green and brown everywhere that aren't Katniss Everdeen. The light makes my head throb, so instead I turn my attention to the waking District 12 tribute. 

My vision is slowly improving, so I can tell when she begins to open her eyes.
