Chapter Two
Misaki's P.O.V.
When my last class was over, I heard a series of shouts and swears as some small thing huddled down our narrow halls.
"Misaki! Misaki! The principle wants to see you!" Oliver bounced happily.
"Oh, the new student arrived? Here, I'll walk you back to Uncle Usami." I inform. Oliver nods happily and grips my the sleeve of my sweater.
"The new student looks cool! But he was smoking when he got here. Isn't that bad for you?" Oliver questions.
"It is. Don't ever smoke." I inform. The boy nods as we reach the office, heading inside. My uncle was waiting there and Oliver bounded over. If it wasn't obvious already, my uncle was a single father. My aunt died a few years back. And technically, I was blood related to my aunt and not my uncle. Still, he's family.
"Haru, stop smoking. Your father wouldn't be happy." My uncle sighed.
"It also causes permanent damage to your lungs. Hey Uncle." I wave towards him and the new boy looks at me. He had a slender, yet muscular build, his eyes were a dark blue with sea foam mixed in, that's what it seemed like. His hair was a dark black, prices of hair faking in front of his eyes. I didn't see him as being a delinquent, but he had a lit cigarette in his mouth, a smirk on his lips.
"Is this my new roommate? You think he can whip me into shape?" Haru laughed.
"My cousin is a black belt in judo and karate! He could kill you off he wanted!" Oliver exclaimed.
"You're hilarious Oliver." I ruffle his hair and he clung to me.
"Misaki, can you show him around school, you have the master key, so you should be able to show him what you please." I nod and push Oliver away.
"Come on trouble maker, let's show you around." I beckon as we leave the room. When we do, I yank the cigarette out of his mouth and throw it on the ground, crushing it with the tow of my foot.
"What the hell was that for?" Haru growled.
"I am supposed to better your life. Smoking is bad for your health, and I can tell you drink too, you reek of alcohol. You're also not sexually active. I would be able to tell because some of these guys are basically always in heat." I comment, seeing a few guys hurry past me.
"Dogs in heat? At an all boys school?" Haru questions.
"Yeah. It's ridiculous. And if you're not careful, you might be placed on the board. Every once in awhile, a virgin is put on that board." I sighed.
"The board?" Haru questions.
"Since the teenagers here are still full of hormones and there aren't any females around, they have sex with the other guys here. The boys who are the best at sex get placed in the board. Normally the person who has sex with them puts their name on the board. It doesn't matter if they're the bottom or the top." I informed.
"Isn't that a bit demeaning? And isn't that also sexual harassment?" Haru asked as we walked.
"Yup. But my uncle refuses to do a thing about it. Anyways, I'll show you around the school then the dorms. We have a few clubs, but none of them are safe to join." I inform as we tour the school. I show him the classrooms and cafeteria along with the library and media center. After doing this, I show him the dorms and facilities, finally reaching our room. "This is the room you're staying in. I hope you don't shore or you'll wake up with something shoved up your nose." I warn.
"I understand. Hey, when I saw that board earlier, are you on it?" Haru questions.
"For some reason. It's ridiculous since I'm both straight, and a virgin. I don't drink or take drugs, so it would be unlikely for me to have a black out and do something with someone." I inform entering the room. My room was the largest one on campus, perks of having a rich dad and the principle being my uncle. There was a lounge, a bathroom with a shower included, two king sized beds, a kitchen, a balcony, and a plasma television next to a giant book case.
"Of course the rich kid has the best room." Haru snorts.
"Well, now you're staying here too. Don't touch my things." I set my things on a desk near my bed and flop on my bed, pulling out my phone.
"You're a spoiled brat, that would explain why people pick on you." Haru comments.
"Actually, up until recently, I was staying in a different dorm. To make sure no one tries to attack me, I was moved to this one." I informed, not bothering to look.
"Really? Has anything happened to you yet?" Haru asks curiously.
"My ex friend groped my ass. Other than that, people steer clear of me. Well, seniors do. Most other people don't know about the board unless they're on it. I only know about it because I've been to that dorm a few times to meet up with my ex friend." I informed.
"Your friend groped your ass? That is full on sexual assault." Haru comments.
"I realize, but my uncle won't listen." I close my eyes and try to clear my head.
"That has to suck." With that, we stopped talking. We just started to do our own thing. I scrolled through Tumblr for a decent amount of time before deciding I should start my homework. Tomorrow's Friday and I'd rather not have to have detention.
"Guess I should start my homework." I yawn as I sit at my desk and start working.
"You're only staring it now? You realize it's almost time for dinner to be served?" He questions.
"I'll skip dinner tonight." I comment. "Go ahead without me." He stayed though and I got my homework finished.
"They're still serving dinner. Here, how about this, I'll be your bodyguard in exchange for some services?" Haru smirked.
"I'll pass. But you're guessing right to as I won't go with you to get dinner." I shrug and get up.
"Fine, if you allow me to continue to drink, I'll be your bodyguard." Haru negotiates.
"Once a month on Friday afternoons. Got it?" I pushed.
"Fine. I'd try to argue, but I have a feeling you're a lot stronger than you look, won't stop anyone from trying to hurt you though." I sighed at his comment and grabbed my ID, walking with him to the cafeteria. While he was half true as to my reason why I won't go to the cafeteria, I have never eaten there at all. I don't like being around to many people. They fawn over me because my dad is rich.
"Misaki? This is a first!" Al shouts as I enter the cafeteria with Haru.
"You mean Misaki for once interacts with society." A senior snorts.
"You say a word, and I will personally kill you. I'm just showing you around." I say to Haru and get lunch, throwing on a false smile.
"What can I get for you sweetie?" The cashier questions.
"Two cheeseburgers, some fries and two drinks." If you're wondering. We have a food court in our school. We also have money on our ID cards, so all we have to do is bring our cards and buy what we want.
"Coming right up, ID please." I hold it out as she scans it and soon get my food.
"Heads up!" I chuck one of my burgers at Haru.
"So you guessed I didn't have my ID yet?" He questions as we sat down at an empty table.
"You just arrived today, of course you wouldn't. Oh look, the dog has come for scraps." I laugh as I see my ex friend Eren walk over.
"Misaki, I came to apologize for earlier..." He scratched the back of his head with one hand. His other hand was currently in a cast. I did nearly break his arm after all. Probably chipped it.
"Not forgiven. You can come begging all you want, you can try as hard as you can, but once someone betrays me, I never forgive and I never forget. So, how about you do what's best for your health and pretend you never met me." I say with a smile. It's people like him that made me so jaded. Up until a few years ago, I was perfectly normal, I took judo for fun, I didn't even do it that well, but things happened.
"I'm buying a gift for Oliver right now. Christmas is just around the corner after all." I chuckle as I talk to my uncle.
"Be careful, okay?" With that he hung up and I rounded the corner of an ally way, trying to quickly get to my bus. I hit something hard and fell to the ground.
"Look what the cat dragged in, a pretty young girl. So flat chested." A man comments.
"I'm not a girl. Let me by." I look away from them and try to walk around, but I'm pushed against a wall.
"Well, you sure look like a girl. We'll have to check." I winced as I felt a cold hand reach under the waistband of my jeans and touch what shouldn't be touched. I gasped and tired to escape, but they held me down. My eyes were sealed closed and I wasn't able to defend myself. I couldn't stop any of them from doing what they wanted.
"Misaki? You're zoning out." Al was now sitting with us, snapping his fingers in front of me. When I focused, I sighed and rubbed my temples.
"Sorry, I just remembered something from a few years back." I inform.
"What was it?" Haru questions, grabbing the second drink I bought, realizing it's his.
"Nothing. I just want to go back to my room and pass out." I admit and finish my food and drink. "I'll go on ahead. See you later." I say and try to leave without anyone near me. When I have flashbacks like that, I get panicked and feel like I'm going to die. I need to escape, that's basically it.
"You know I had less food than you, I'll walk you back. Haru gets up with me.
"I said I'll be fine." I frown.
"You're stupidly stubborn." He remarked.
"He just got here today, don't make enemies this quickly." Al complained.
"I can protect myself. Goodbye." I scowled and left the cafeteria, when the doors were closed and no one was in view, I sprinted all the way back to my room, jumping in bed and curling up in the covers. I had no idea that Haru and Al saw me sprint. And they know that most people wouldn't break out in sprint like that.
Haru's P.O.V.
I knew him for only a few hours and had already learned a lot about Misaki. He was jaded, has trust issues, was strong, didn't like people, a virgin, a rich boy, yet he was mostly humble. He was kind when he wanted to be too. It was ridiculous and now, both Al and I witnessed his run off.
"That's odd. Why is he running?" Al questions.
"Don't worry, I'll talk to him. The president shoved me into the same dorm room as him." People seemed shocked at this situation. "He told me about this stupid board and I hope to never be on that thing. I prefer large breasted women over some guy any day." I smirk.
"There's no girls for miles, what are you gonna do?" Al questions. There is this thing called sex friends. I can call up whoever I want. But, let's see how long abstinence works out." I wave goodbye and leave, heading back to the room. When I arrived at the extravagant room, I find Misaki curled up into a ball. He looked scared.
"Do you have Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or something?" I question as I sit on Misaki's bed. Why do I care though? I shouldn't care about anyone or anything, I drink, have sex, smoke, yet something about this kid made me want to comfort him.
"Something like that." He says quietly.
"Here." I lay next to him and wrap my arms around him, turning him around and pulling him to my chest. "My sister gets panic attacks sometimes as well and this is the only thing that will calm her down." I informed.
"I didn't realize a bad boy could be so nice." He muttered as his hid his face.
"I'm a rebel, that's all. I can't really hurt anyone without being guilty." I admit with a smile.
"Try to be nice please? Also, can you not mention this to anyone. Maybe someday I'll tell you why I have PTSD, but right now, can you just let me cry?" He questions.
"Go ahead." As I said this, I could feel burning hot tears melt into my shirt. Whatever made him like this must have been pretty damn traumatizing.
