Avu's P.O.V:

"Good morning sweetheart!" A voice whispered in my ear

I shrugged

"Mamma go away let me sleep!" I said turning sides

"Beta utho na!" The voice said

"Mamma! No please just 5 minutes more!!"

"But Avu! Today's your special day, remember!"

I moaned

"It's not my birthday mamma! LET ME SLEEEEPPP!!"

"Not ur birthday beta, it's your wedding!"

My eyes opened wide and I sat up on bed

"Wedding? What? Huh? But mamma I-"

I looked around, expecting to see mamma but instead I saw Sid's smirking face

"You? What r u doing here? Where is mamma?" I said looking around blankly

"I was talking to you all along madoo! Sonia aunty was never here!" Sid said laughing

"DHOKEBAAZ! I hate you! I actually thought it was my wedding..."

Oh God what did I just say

"Really?" Sid said, his eyebrows going up

I blushed

"Shaadi ki itni jaldi?" He teased me, laughing

"Shut up madoo!" I said frowning

"Achha sorry. Now come downstairs, everyone else is back" Sid said

I nodded and he kissed me on the cheek and we walked down together

"There she is!" Abhi bhaiya said looking at me

So they were expecting me

I smiled at bhaiya

"Avu meri bachi!" Papa rejoiced

Mamma and papa stood up and I ran over to them and hugged them

"Was everything alright Avu?" Mamma whispered

I nodded and smiled at her

We all sat down and talked

END OF P.O.V

~After an hour~

"I'll go and make dinner now" Vibha aunty said getting up

"I'm not that hungry.." Aman uncle stated

"Hmm I am also not. Vibha we'll make dinner for you and the kids" Sonia aunty said

"I'm not hungry, actually" Vibha aunty told

"Bachon? Are you hungry?" Aman uncle asked

"Yes! Very much!" Sidneet said

Abhi and Jai laughed

"Papa, me and Abhi are not. We also ate at the engagement" Jai replied

"Ok I will make dinner for you two" Vibha aunty said to Sidneet

"Aunty please sit and relax. You fractured your foot so when you walk it hurts. Leave it I will make food for me and Sid!" Avu decided

"No beta it's fine, I-" Vibha aunty said but Sid objected

"Mamma, Avu's right. You have a seat, we will make food for ourselves!" Sid protested

Sid went to Vibha aunty and made her sit down on the sofa.

"Thank you bachon. And if you need any help then just call me, ok?"

Sidneet nodded

"Have fun!" Abhi whispered to Sidneet

Sidneet blushed and walked to the kitchen

"Let's start!" Sid said winking

"Do u know how to cook?" Avu asked Sid

"Um... kinda.."

Avu laughed

"Do you?" Sid asked her

"Yes. I know how to make daal chawal! It's my favvv!!"

"Me too madoo! Make that na!"

"You have to help me, ok?"

"But I don't know how to coo-"

"I will teach you!"

"Ok Avu, let's start!"

Avu told Sid the ingredients and they searched the kitchen for each of those things

"Sid you should know where each of the things are kept! This is your house!" Avu scolded

"Avu, I don't spend time in the kitchen cooking!" Sid replied

"You can at least help Vibha aunty cook na!"

"You can help your beloved aunty after our marriage, as her bahu, ok?"

Sidneet laughed

"Ok so first we'll put the raw daal in the cooker with 4 cups of water" Avu instructed

Sid followed what Avu said and soon the daal and chawal were cooking

Sidneet talked and updated their insta stories while the things were cooking, and soon all of it was ready

"Ready!" Avu cried happily

"Finallyyyy!! I was sooo hungry!" Sid said putting his phone away

Avu got the plates out

"Daal chawal is ur favourite, Avu?" Sid asked

"Ya. I love it"

"Also my fav!"

Avu got out the spoons

"We have the same favourites. We would be a good couple!" Sid complimented

Avu was about to open the cooker but she burst out laughing

"Having the same favourites doesn't make two people good couples, Siddu!" Avu said laughing

"But we still have sizzling chemistry, Avu. And I believe that is enough.." Sid said coming closer to Avu 

Avu laughed and she was about to open the cooker with her hands but when she did, both her hands accidentally touched the sides of the cooker and she burnt both palms of her hands!

"Aghhh. Shittttt" Avu cried as she burnt herself

"Avu!" Sid said looking at what she'd done

Sid took both of Avu's hands and took them under the sink to run under water

Avu's hands turned red but they cooled down after being under the water

"Avu I'm so so sooo sorry my madoo, it's all my fault, I distracted you, you laughed and then your hands got burnt OMG Avu, I-" Sid apologised but Avu stopped him

"Sid shut up! It's not ur fault, pagal!"

Sid pulled Avu into a hug

"Madoo your hands will hurt if you eat by urself so I will feed u!" Sid said

"But Sid I'll be fine, you don't nee-"

"No buts Avu. I'll feed u! And my decision is final!"

With that Sid opened the cooker and started putting it onto the plates

Avu admired Sid

"Why're u staring at me Avu?" Sid asked once he noticed

"I'm just thinking how much my man cares for me" She answered

Sid smiled and took both plates to the dining table

"Avu, I'll put some haldi paste on your burns right now so they heal quickly!" Sid said

"Avu what happened? Why do you need haldi paste?" Sonia aunty asked who heard what Sid said

(The dining table was in the living room)

"Aunty this silly girl burnt both her hands!" Sid replied

Everyone came to the dining table and looked at Avu's hands

"How did this happen??" Aman uncle asked worriedly

"I wasn't looking and just burnt myself because I was about to get the cooker and open it but didn't realise it was so hot" Avu told

Sid quickly made the haldi paste (in case you don't know what that is it's just turmeric paste).

When he came back he applied it on one of Avu's hand while Aman uncle applied on the other hand

"Sid, take better care of Avu! You-" Vibha aunty scolded Sid

"No Vibha, Avu should be more careful!" Sonia aunty said, cutting in

"Aunty, it's not Avu's fault, it's my fault I was talking to her and she got distracted so-" Sid started but Avu interrupted

"Sid, if you say that one more time then I will hit you because it is not ur fault madoo!" Avu said screaming

"Avu, calm down beta. But Sid, she's right, stop blaming urself. I know you would never do that" Sonia aunty defended

The others except Sid nodded

Aman uncle and Sid had done applying the haldi paste so Sidneet went to the dining table and started eating

Sid took a spoonful of daal-chawal and put it in Avu's mouth

"I'll feed her. You all can go now" Sid said politely to the others

Sidneet were left alone at the table and Sid started feeding Avu

"Sid tum bhi khao na!" Avu urged him

"After you!" He protested, putting a spoon in Avu's mouth

"I won't take another spoon until you take a spoonful!" Avu argued

Sid laughed and put a spoonful of dal chawal in his mouth

"Happy?" He said smiling

Avu nodded and opened her mouth for another spoon

Sid chuckled again and fed her

"How is the food? Do you like it?" Avu asked with full curiosity

"It's horrible!" Sid replied making a disgusted face

Avu felt hurt

"What? But Sid you.. you.. you love daal chawal na? My cooking is not good then?" She said sadly

"You're crazy, Avu! We made it together, with so much love, dedication and fun. How could you think I don't like it? Ye bhi koi question hai kya?" Sid explained

Avu kissed Sid on the cheek

"Then after we get married, we can always cook together, theek hai?" Avu teased

Sid gulped

"Um.. Avu.. Maybe I'll leave after marriage cooking to you.." He said smiling geekishly

"Kyun? That means you don't love me!" Avu said, crossing her arms

"I looove you Avu, but after shaadi I will be very very busy!" Sid lied

Avu controlled her laughter

"You won't even have time for me? Sid rehne do tum. I'm not marrying you!" Avu said, about to walk away

Sid got hold of Avu's hand and made her sit down again

"Madooo, I will give you ALL my time!"

"Pakka promise?"

"Pakkaaa promiseee!!"

"Then you will also cook with me?"

"I will cook with you, dance with you, travel with you, and even make kids with you Avu!"

Avu stared at Sid

"Kya hua?" Sid said smirking

"N-nothing.." Avu said blushing

"Achha khao ab!" Sid said stuffing a spoon of dal chawal in Avu's mouth

They happily ate for the next hour
