Chapter 19:

I didn't really enjoy the company of this dude but he knew his surfing so I decided to listen to him though Sarah did not. Ash just didn't listen because Sarah didn't and he wanted her to be interested in him. Not really working but he tried.

"You're surfing starts off with paddling, your paddling sucks." He said and I furrowed my eyebrows, way to be straight up.

"Oh...kay how can I make it not suck?"

"You're not feeling the ocean." He said which wasn't what I expected him to say. I sort of expected some fact or tip on how to paddle but nope. I have to feel the ocean.

"Feeling the ocean?" Ash asked himself under his breath. His black hair was dripping wet and his arm drawings were being washed away. He laid on his back on the board staring up at the sky, bored out of his mind.

"The ocean, it can be felt. Let your hands hang down loosely and close your eyes and feel the water." I did so and all at once as if there was a strong force, I felt something. I don't know what it was but it seemed nice, like hands holding mine. I heard little whispers of a soft voice that I knew no one else heard. It was a kind and soft voice that reminded me of something sweet and dove like. I felt like the hands pulled me, they wanted me with them and I succumbed to their wish. I let the phantom woman with the angelic voice pull me down. I got down to where I needed breath but couldn't come up. I was held down by the woman. I opened my eyes and watched bubbles escape from my lips. There right in front, a woman in white. She had my eyes and my blonde hair although hers was longer. She smiled at me and raised her hand to hold the side of my face. She looked up towards the surface pointing. I felt the angel woman's hands release and I was softly pushed upward. Sarah, Ash, and Sarah's dad looked at me scared and inquisitive.

"So you felt the ocean?" Sarah's dad smirked. I looked up and smiled.

"Yeah. But I think it was much more than that."
