Chapter 5
Sans and Calibri entered the room of grey.
In the middle stood a figure,it face melted. The figure looked like a melted skeleton.
He spoke in a dialect that was hard to understand. Sans understood but Calibri was lost.
"Sorry, Calibri, I guess I should have changed dialect sooner. I was trying to say welcome." The figure said, which kinda made Calibri freak out for a moment.
"Who are you? Why did Sans bring me here?" Calibri said as thoughts ran through her mind.
"I know a lot about you, Calibri. What you are, who you were, everything. Now you came to the Underground to live here. You're very special, Calibri. A combination soul is hard to come by. The brilliant part is, you survived crossing the barrier. The human part of your soul saved you." The figure started to explain, unraveling the mystery of Calibri.
"Who are you?"
"I'm W.D Gaster, the former Royal Scientist, if you must know." The figure said.
Calibri turned to Sans, she was scared.
"W.D Gaster knew you were coming, sending me to find you. He wanted us to be together as a family, since you are special." Then Calibri turned to Gaster.
"Sans is right, you are very special. You are very special creature that I never knew could exist. You have a power unimaginable."
Calibri blinked and looked at her boney hands.
"If you know so much about me, then how will I survive here?"
"With tomato products, it is a good blood substitute. War testing with vampires payed off." He said as he came closer to Calibri.
"You have so much potential. I wanted you with Sans and Papyrus because they know many different things. They are unique, and you need a family to accept you like they do." Gaster said as he placed his hand on Calibri.
"They will take care of you."
"Why didn't you tell them anything about vampire stuff?"
"They need to learn it on their own sometimes."
Then Gaster went back toward the middle of the room.
"Now you two better get home. Sans, protect her." Sans nodded and showed Calibri out.
Once Calibri and Sans got home, she ran to hug Papyrus. He held her tight as tears ran down her bony face.
"SANS TOOK YOU TO GASTER..." He said quietly as he held onto Calibri still. She nodded and kept holding onto him.
"Calibri, you need to keep Gaster a secret. Only Paps and I know about Gaster." Sans said as he walked over to Papyrus and Calibri.
"Why?"
"He only comes in certain resets. We are the only ones who know timelines. Flowey, he has Save power. He has more control over the time lines than us who just know them. He knows as much as we do." He said as he sat on the couch. Calibri, now gotten out of the hug, went and sat next to Sans.
"How am I special?"
"Your soul. That's all I know." Sans said as he patted her head.
"You will hopefully remember timelines too. But we have to wait until the next reset."
"When is that?"
Then Sans whispered to Calibri. "When the human comes. It will either end in a true reset or a reset for the human just to back again and make friends. I'm not sure what reset will happen, but I hope when a reset happens, that you are still here." Sans said as he hugged Calibri.
"I will make sure nothing happens to you, Sis." He said holding onto her tight.
The following day, Sans frantically woke up Calibri.
"Calibri, we need to get out of here. It's a true reset. A Chara reset..." He said as he got Calibri up.
"What will happen?"
"The Underground is going to emptied, no monsters left alive." He said as he pulled Calibri out of the door. Thoughts bounced around her skull, does that mean she was going to die?
Once they got out of the house, Calibri noticed that Snowdin was extremely quite. It was eerily quite...
"What is going on?"
"The human is no real human, but a demon, the angel of death. They will kill you!"
"But what if I can fight?"
"You can't, you're too weak! I'm not losing you!" Sans yelled, tears in his eyes. Calibri noticed something about Sans, how he had Papyrus' red scarf around his neck.
"Where is Paps?"
"He... He... he just went away..." Sans said the tears showing the truth about Papyrus. He was gone...
"I don't want to lose you at all, Calibri. I won't let them just take you from me!" He said as he took her hand and got her running in a different way. They were suddenly in Hot Land, near the castle door before the judgement hall as Sans called it.
"You need to stay with me, okay? Do not get involved at all." Sans said as he stood in the end of the hall with Calibri holding his right hand.
"It's coming now." Sans said in a low voice as the person came. The human. Dark hair, striped shirt, red eyes, and a dagger. The human had dust on their hands, monster soul dust.
Sans and the Human went to battle. Sans summoned bones here and there. The human dodging them or being hit with them. Then when the human died, they came back again, and again, and again. Each time, Sans would say something different. Talking about how many times he killed the human.
The human kept striking, which was no good. Then they got the wonderful idea to try and attack Calibri.
She tried to dodge that attack but that blade still cut the sleeve of her hoodie. Sans looked at Calibri, looking to see if she was okay, but this made Sans somewhat miss the human. He was not paying attention...
It happened, Sans was struck down... be went down on one knee and still held onto Calibri's hand.
"I guess I was just foolish this reset... heh... I guess it's your time to show them what you are made of, sis." He said as he kept holding onto her hand. "Make sure they pay for this, kay sis?" And he closed his eyes. He died right in front of her.
Calibri cried, her tears falling on her now deceased brother, the one that took her in, the one that cared about her. The one that was there for her. And she just lost him.
"Why... Why did you do this?" Calibri asked the dark and demented human standing there.
"Why?! Why?! Why did you have to take him from me!?" She yelled at the human, now in rage and in tears, and in utter sorrow...
"You will not defeat me so easily, mark my words."
