"Tiffany?" Caleb says in shock, having a flashback to three years ago dropping to the ground.

"Caleb get up." Adam says pulling him up. "We have to go in there, there's other people inside as well."

Caleb got up putting a mask on quick not waiting for anyone and ran into the burning building. Tyler ran in after him spraying water as they got close to fire. Other fire departments had shown up as well as the night crew to help get people out of the building and to help put the fire out.

Caleb was in search for Tiffany, calling out for her, as they search through the rubble there were bursts of flames causing them to jump. Checking bodies as they came across them, carrying them out and placing them on the ground for paramedics to check.

Caleb finally came across a woman who was crawling slowly, he ran over in hopes that it was Tiffany picking her up and running out of the building with her, laying her down he noticed that it wasn't her and ran back in again.

The more he looked around he started to worry almost giving up, he then went into a place where he knew she liked their clothes calling out for her, as he looked around he saw a man who had been shot, he jumped up quick looking around realizing that might have been Tiffany who shot him and called out for her again. Running around he tripped and fell.

He turned to see what he tripped over and saw a leg, getting on his knees he crawled over to the person, he then saw that it was Tiffany "TIFFANY!" He yelled picking her up and rushing out of the building with her in his arms.

Adam watched Caleb rush out of the mall with Tiffany in his arms, behind him was other fireman carrying bodies, as they rushed out of the building, it had let off another explosion, causing them all to fall to the ground.

"What the fuck is going on." Adam yelled out as they were battling the flames.

Paramedics ran to Caleb grabbing Tiffany from him "Is she alive?" Caleb yelled at them.

Checking her pulse, they placed a mask on her giving her oxygen as they laid her on the gurney. "She's alive, please stand back." He was told as they worked on her bringing her inside the ambulance.

Caleb stood in shock as they brought her in the ambulance, blocking everyone and everything out, his mind went back to three years ago losing his wife and kids, and now it happened again to another one he cared a lot for.

Adam walked over to Caleb trying to get him to snap out of it, shaking him, waving his hand in front of him, Caleb couldn't believe it, he tried so hard to protect her, to keep her safe and she's laying in an ambulance getting ready to be taken to the hospital.

"Earth to Caleb... wake up.. do you hear me?" Adam kept saying to him, Caleb finally turned his head to look at him "She's gone isn't she." He said sadly feeling defeated.

Adam looked at the ambulance and back to Caleb shaking his head "I don't know man. I really don't know, looks like they are getting ready to take her, we have enough people here to contain the fire, go with her." Adam urges Caleb. Normally Adam wouldn't allow his men to leave the scene of a fire, but being that Caleb had gone through this a few years ago it was best that he left with Tiffany.

Caleb banged on the back of the ambulance until they opened the door "I'm riding with." He sighed as he looked up at what appeared to be a lifeless Tiffany.

Sitting next to her he held onto her hand and laid his head down on her hand. "Is this your wife sir?" The paramedic asked.

"No, she's my girlfriend." He mumbled taking in deep breaths trying not to hyperventilate. Holding her hand he prayed, prayed for her to be OK.

"She has a pulse and her heart rate is really slow." The paramedic starts to explain, it then dawned on him who Caleb was, his heart dropped as he remembered being at Caleb's house when he lost his family, he was the one trying to revive them.

Everytime the machine would make a noise, Caleb's head would move up quickly to see what her vital signs were showing. They get to the hospital and Caleb followed them bringing her to the Emergency room, after checking her out and had run some tests, they placed her in ICU.

Michael was on the phone when his other line started beeping in. Looking at the number he took the call.

"Michael I found Tiffany, she's in a small town called Lancaster in Oklahoma."

"You're a little late one of my other guys had found her as well. I was just making arrangements to pay her a visit."

"From my understanding she had been in an accident."

Michael's face lit up giving off an evil laugh. "What kind of accident?"

"There was an explosion at the mall, apparantly she was inside."

"What have you heard about her? Did she make it? I told them damn boys that I wanted her brought to me dead or alive, preferably alive... she's no good to me if she's brought back charred."

"I'm not sure if she made it or not, I haven't seen the names come out yet."

"Great, just great... keep me posted." Michael says hanging up on him. Michael sits at his desk tapping his fingers on the desk thinking. He then calls Mr. Jones to find out what is going on, he then keeps calling him when he doesn't pick up.

"What the fuck is going on.."

Michael's phone rang again, seeing that it was David he picked up the phone. David had recieved the check from Caleb and gave Michael a call. Michael was quick to take his call and was quick to head over to see David.

David sat at his desk nervous to meet with Michael, hoping that this check will finally make him give in and sign the papers.

"Mr. Delany, there's a Michael Smith here to see you." His assistant says as she opened the door.

"Send him in please."

David stands up greeting Michael at the door. Reaching his hand out to shake.

"Thank you for coming in." David says nervously, there was something in Michael's eyes that he didn't care for, almost a cold stare that he felt going down his spine.

"So what was the reason you called me here for today?"

"Please sit down." David says pulling a chair out for him.

David walked around his desk sitting down he then held on to paperwork, thinking before he hands it over to Michael.

"Well .. I would really like for you to sign these papers. We all know that nothing is going to work out between the two of you." He says as he hands him the papers.

Michael smiles as he looks at the paperwork. David stares at him wondering why the evil grin on his face. "With the look on your face tells me you're still not going to sign them, so I have an offer here for you."

Michael leans forward folding his hands on the desk narrowing his eyes. "And what would that offer be?"

"I have a check here, made out for you if you sign the papers. It's a check for $100,000, $21,000 more than what you wanted out of Tiffany. The deal is you sign the papers, you get the check."

"And where did you get this from?" Michael curiously asks, knowing that Tiffany is most likely dead.

"Someone unanimously sent me the check with instructions, and once you sign the papers, the check is yours." David explains.

Michael scratches the back of his head thinking. With the possibility of Tiffany being dead as of yesterday, the thought crosses his mind that the papers if he were to sign today would be null and void and still be able to receive her life insurance policy and the $100,000.

"Interesting." Michael laughs. "Well were do I sign?"

David's eyes light up surprised Michael was for it starts opening each page pointing to where he needs to sign. "I want to remind you that she doesn't want anything from you, just wants out of the marriage."

"Oh I'm not worried, I will never have to worry about her wanting anything from me."

David looked at him strange, not comprehending what he was saying. "What do you mean by that?"

"Oh nothing." Michael grins "Is that everything?" Michael asks reaching his hand out "The check?" He smiles.

David looks at the check still wondering what he meant by his words "So if I hand you this check, you will leave her alone correct?"

"Guaranteed.."

David hands him the check "Please leave her alone."

"Oh you have nothing to worry about." He says to him standing up and walking towards the door. Holding his hand on the door knob he turns to Michael.

"I suppose you haven't heard..."

"Heard what?"

"A little birdie told me that Tiffany was killed yesterday." He says opening the door and leaving in a hurry.

David's heart sank, he wasn't sure if he should believe him or not, and Caleb never said where they were or a number to call. "FUCK."

David made a call to his investigator wondering if he had heard anything. He explained to him what Michael said to him and asked for him to check it out. Letting him know where the check came from and wondering if that was main office or if that was where the bank actually was at.

Later in the day David's investigator called to let him know that he had found Tiffany, that she was in ICU under a hidden name.

"And how do you know that it is her?"

"Because I am here at the hospital, I was following a lead and heard about an explosion, she was brought in and put under a different name while they investigated the explosion. They found bombs all over the mall. I'm guessing she was targeted."

David dropped the phone as his hands shook, his heart was pounding hard and felt as if he was going to pass out. He was scared for her and knew this was the work of Michael's men.

"What hospital is she in." David asked heartbroken as he picked the phone back up.

"Trinity United in Oklahoma."

"I guess I'll see you there." David says hanging up the phone and rushed out of his office.

Caleb sat at Tiffany's bedside holding her hands. His heart was breaking, she has not been awake for two days now, and he has not slept for those two days.

Watching all the machines and calling a nurse in everytime the machine makes a noise when he see's her heart rate drop.

Adam and Tyler stood outside the door and knocked. Being that she was in ICU only one visitor was allowed in at the time. Caleb stood up and answered the door keeping an eye on Tiffany.

"We need to talk." Adam says to Caleb.

"I can't leave Tiffany, she needs me." Caleb sighs.

"She will be fine for a few moments." Adam says quietly.

"Say what you have to say, I'm not leaving Tiffany.. not for a second."

"Look at you, you can tell that you haven't slept a bit, you need to sleep Caleb." Adam insists.

"Adam I'm in no mood for this shit, say what you have to say."

Adam sighed running his hands through his hair. A nurse walked by so Adam stopped her "We need to talk to Caleb about that explosion would you mind if we went in the room to talk, he refuses to leave her side."

She looked at Caleb who was still dressed in his fireman's attire, nodding her head she looked around "Make it quick and keep it down please."

"Thank you."

Caleb waves them in and quickly sat back down next to Tiffany grabbing a hold of her hand he stood back up leaning over to kiss her lips "Wake up sleeping beauty." He said quietly begging while taking in a deep breath.

"Caleb.. that explosion at the mall.. it didn't just happen. We found bombs that were placed all over the building." Adam looks over at Tiffany and had to look away "I think it was deliberate... I think someone knew that she was in there and set them off."

"I know." Caleb whispered with his head hung low.

"What do you mean you know?"

"I figured it, before I found Tiffany I found a man that was shot, he was near Tiffany when I found her. I'm guessing she was the one who shot him."

Adam pulled a purse out of his bag as well as a gun that they found. "Caleb.. do you recognize these at all? I took these for evidence, but if they are hers I'll let you take them."

Caleb turned to look he noticed that it was Tiffany's purse, it was covered in soot. "Yes that's her purse, and that's her gun that Felix bought for her."

"I'm suppose to bring the gun back for evidence but if you swear not to say anything I'll leave it with you. Only reason why I grabbed the gun was because you told me she had one that was small enough to fit in her purse and this is definitely small."

"Do you have any idea who this could have been? You said she had people out looking for her, could it have been them?" Tyler asked hesitantly.

"I'm sure this was the works of her ex husband." Caleb sighed. He stopped talking when he noticed her body jitter.

"Shh." Caleb says with his finger to his mouth.

"You really should get some rest. She's in the best place right now." Adam says with his hand on Caleb's shoulder.

Caleb shrugged his hand off "I'll get some rest the moment I know that she's OK and is awake."

Adam covered his mouth closing his eyes breathing heavily and frustrated. "Caleb.. you're not doing anyone good by not resting, it could be weeks before she wakes up."

Caleb quickly stood up, wanting to shove Adam but quickly backed off not wanting to make a scene in Tiffany's room and get kicked out. "Please just leave." Caleb said quietly.

Adam shook his head as he looked at Caleb, sighing before he turned to walk out the door. As Adam and Tyler were walking out the door, the doctor was heading in to check on Tiffany.

"Are you Caleb?" The doctor asked Adam.

"No.. Caleb is in that chair over there." He pointed.

Caleb caressed Tiffany's arm, talking to her when the doctor walked over to the other side of the bed.

"You must be Caleb."

Caleb stood up and shook his hand. "I am." He whispered.

"Any signs of movement?" The doctor asked.

"No.." he sighed. "Her body twitched a little bit ago, but that was about it."

The doctor pulled out his light, lifting up her eyelids and checked both of her eyes. He then checked under the bandage that was on her forehead, Caleb gasped when he saw the wounds and fell down in his chair covering his face.

The doctor continued to look her over and looked at her vital signs. "Well her vitals are much better than when she was brought in. I have a feeling she will be awake very soon. I suggest you keep talking to her and see if you can get any reaction out of her."

"Will she be OK?" Caleb asked worried about what the doctor will say.

"I believe so, she has some broken bones, luckily she didn't break any ribs, those just took a bit of bruising. When she finally awakes she might feel a bit confused as she took a pretty good hit to the head, but then again she might she might not. Only way to know is when she awakes."

"What about pain? Is she in a lot of pain do you know?"

"Oh I'm sure she is, we have her sedated somewhat, we couldn't administer normal dosage and what we normally give someone in this state."

Caleb looked up at the doctor confused, and looked back at Tiffany. "Why? Is it because of her weight or what?"

"Well... because of the baby." The doctor says as he looked at Tiffany's clipboard.

"Baby?" Caleb whispered choked up.

The doctor looked up at him sliding his glasses down to the edge of nose and looked at Caleb. "You didn't know?"

"No." Caleb says shaking his head slowly.

"Looks like she is about a month along, had she been much further in the pregnancy the baby would not have survived."

"Oh god." Caleb cried out.

"I'll be back to check on her in a couple hours, if you see any change please have a nurse come and find me." The doctor walks over to Caleb placing his hand on Caleb's shoulder "She's a very lucky woman, not many would have survived something like this."

Caleb looked back at Tiffany, as much as he held everything back trying to be strong, he let everything out. He was angry, angry at the thought that her ex had something to do with this, angry that he wasn't with her to protect her, angry that he felt this was happening to him again, he then had a feeling of heartbreak as he looked at her still with no movement, worried if she will ever be the same but also swore to her that he would do anything to help her get better, he then felt the sadness, more worried now knowing that she's pregnant, not knowing if the baby will survive or not.

He started talking to her begging for her to wake up. Looking at her with tears in his eyes "Did you know you were pregnant?" He whispered to her. He then thought back to the other day when they were on the couch and the comment she said to him, he also remembered the comment he had said to her.

He wondered if she was going to tell him then and then wondered if he had he ruined it by what he said to her about Michael.

"Fuck Tiff.. did you know?" He stood up and pressed his lips against hers, sliding his lips back and forth against her bottom lip giving himself a little tickle on his lip. He then saw her lips move, sucking in her bottom lip.

"Tiffany?" He said excitedly.
