3rd of all , half of this one shot was going to be published in my art book . And I went like , hey ! Why not make it my 500 followes special ? XD

Cole sat on one of his knees , a dark figure was in his sight .

"I Love your smell , I love your taste.. But I always wondered . Will you be date for the prom , tomorrow night ?"

He softly spoke looking at it, the figure didn't respond.

" I have seen you being baked ,I have imagined you in my stomach
But I need your answer , would you love to be my date , my cake ? "

He smiled at the love of life , who he had imagined to be his date.. or lets say , who he had imagined in his stomach .

The three layered cake didn't move , it stood still.

A small frown appeared on the black haired boy's face , who was hoping that by the end of this hour his stomach would be fill.

" oh I suppose you don't wanna be with me at the party?
Then I'll let you free "

The young man slowly stood up and took the plate on which it laid.

" although my stomach just grumbled, but I care about your feelings and you cannot be doubled "
Cole's voice seemed troubled as he quietly spoke.

" but I may have one last question for you my love "
He walked through the thin colliders to the room of the beautiful cake whose room was in the end of the collider.

He walked through the night, it just didn't feel right.

Cole then slowly opened the fridge , the light hitted his face and the cake in his hands , was it still to late ?

" are you sure that you don't want to be my date ? " he politely asked before letting out a sigh and keeping it inside .

He slowly walked back to his room . The moon shone , making the dark night , lighted.

Cole lay in his black bed , many thoughts were in his head . But slowly the young man went to a deep sleep.

The very next day , Cole woke up by the knocking on the door , annoyed by the sudden noise , Cole stood up , and walked on the black floor to the door.

" what ? " he asked the person in front of him . He couldn't figure out who the person was as the light was dim.

The person excitedly greeted Cole " mornin' Cole ..! " Cole quickly recognized the person as Seliel , the daughter of the mayor of Nom , his good friend in the dancing school. This was the reason he had to get a date , there was a prom , and they both didn't know who to go with . Cole didn't wanted to be the lonely mole.

" hey Seliel. " he casually spoke , a small smile on his face.

" any luck on finding a partner ? " she asked , leaning on the door . Cole shook his head " you do know this isn't a race . "

" yea I know . I did ask someone , but they said no . " he informed her.

" maybe I can help you , good sir " she smiled , and got one in return.

" sure , right this way , ma'am . I suppose it's your turn " he closed the door , and after a few minutes he opened it again; fully dressed.

He led the girl the way to the person, well cake . When he told her about her , Seliel just shock her head-she knew him way too well.. or probably she was annoyed or just in shock

" For the sake of ninjago , it's a cake..?! " she spoke , and looked at him as if he was a stinky sock .

" what ? It's not just a cake " he gave her the same disgusted look . ah , weren't the two teens good friends- the best.

She laughed a little " okay , okay . Time out . Tonight is the prom , and we both don't have enough time. Ugh .. I wish I knew someone "

Cole smiled , but then it later turned into a small frown " I don't wanna go alone , it won't be fun "

Seliel glanced at the clock " 10 hours "

" seems like as if I'll need some good flowers " he laughed .

The two walked to the kitchen. Seliel rose a brow , not getting what her friend meant. " huh ? "

He opened the door the kitchen while answering the girls' question " i learned this from a friend but what I meant was , give a girl some charms . Duh "

The two got greeted by- no one. Cole was expecting his father to be there.

Cole slowly mumbled " life isn't fair "

" what happened?" Seliel looked confused for a second , but then she saw it too "Oh , right. Your father isn't here. Again"

He let out a small sigh " again "

Cole poured himself a cup of milk and offered the girl " i don't like milk, forgot "

" oh right. Forgot " he drank it , it wasn't a lot

Seliel had left Cole's house.

9 hours

Cole had had to get himself a date.
If he found one , then it would be called a great faith.

And 'course, the girl had to be from the school , no strangers were allowed , it would be for the best for the small crowd.

7 hours .

Cole had been calling every girl in his class "I already have someone to go with" they all had said . He still had it in himself , faith.

He looked at the black rectangular fridge , the house of the love of life. It would have been an amazing marriage , if the cake was his wife.

That was some problems for the future , not for now; not for today.

As for now , he needs a partner , his friends have theirs; he didn't . Slowly by slowly , it was coming to the end of the day .

6 hours

Time was ticking, neither he found someone nor Seliel did; weren't the two friends annoyed .
'Jay is going with Nya , Kai is going with Skylor' he thought 'Zane with Pixel . And Harumi with Lloyd '

Cole just laid in his bed ,tired. It seemed as if he just got fired (from a job ofc)

A few minutes later , his friend came in without any warning she laid next to him.
She muttered " I feel as if I'm doing a huge sin "

He closed his eyes as he heard her say " I'm taking a little nap "

3 hours.

" Cole wake up ! " Seliel yelled , shaking the young man " we have freaking three hours ! Well , actually now 2 hours , 58 minutes and 37 seconds ..But WAKE UP YOU! "
" wah ? Whash happened ? " he woke up and spoke A little surprised  because Seliel spoke out of blue.

" We have 2 hours , 56 minutes ! C'mon!  We need to ask someone if they want to go with us! " Seliel starting shaking the boy  .

" I'm up , I'm up " spoke the guy.

" good! We have tw- " " I get it , we don't have much time and as you girls take a lot of time dressing up "

" what is that supposed to mean !? “ she spoke - or yelled “ I am not like the others . Kay ? “ “ yup ,yup “

The two friends stood up from the bed “ so .. you'll go and change now ? Or not ? “ asked Cole

“ mhm. My way to home is like half an hour drive. So meh , it’s a yes . “ she told the lonely mole.

“ then I'll go and find partners for us . Kay ? “ Cole told her who nodded.

“ then , I'll see you in front of your house in an hour- “ “two hours “

“ okie then ,See you there ? “

“ yup, see ya there. “

Seliel went out of the house along with Cole . They both went on their separate ways.

1 hour : 50 minutes.  

Cole tapped his fingers repeatedly on the window sill . Cole had taken a bus to Seliel’s house , or let's say the nearest bus stop of her house and as the hotel where the prom was held was near Seliel’s place.
He let out a small sigh ; tired. His life right now was like a little maze.

He glanced at his watch , then back up. ‘There must be a traffic jam ‘ he thought

1 hour

“ yes Seliel , there was a traffic jam ! “ he repeated...for the ninth time.

Seliel crossed her arms on her chest , and huffed .. and puffed and blew her anger away by saying “ jeez , fine ..! “

Cole chuckled before he spoke.“ ya know , we have an hour before we go “

“ an hour to get dressed , an hour to reach there , an hour to fin- “ “ I'm not going with anyone “

Seliel got taken aback from what her friend just told her . She blurted out “ what ?! But then , it wouldn't be fun ! “

“ I know it wouldn't be . But , I guess it's for the best … “ Cole told her.

“ okay then.. I'm not going with anyone as well “ informed the girl

"You don't have to do this because of me" Cole said to her as he kept a hand on her shoulder.

"Im not doing it for you. I'm doing it for myself. " she with alot of effort moved his hand , it surely seemed as hard as a boulder.

10 minutes

The two were sitting in a taxi ; Seliel tapping her foot in a rhythm while listening to music and Cole just staring out of the window. Neither of them had anything to talk about .

Cole pretty much got annoyed by the music Seliel was playing . " Seliel. The don't is a bit too loud "

" what ? " she asked , taking off one of her earbuds from her ear and kept it in her left hand.

“ I said . The music is loud “ as soon as Seliel heard the word ‘loud’ she decreased the volume a little , which surprised Cole . She would usually increase it to increase her ‘annoying land’.

Cole just smiled , which turned into a small frown ‘ something doesn't feel right ‘ thought Cole.

Seliel poked her friend . “we are here; Mr.lonely mole”

0 minutes .

Cole and Seliel sat on one table as they both looked at others who made today , the night of their life.
Seliel stood up , causing Cole to raise an eyebrow “ where ya goin’ ?” he asked . A thought came into Seliel’s head ‘your future wife’

“ Sel? SEL?!” he yelled , but soon the girl was gone , no where to be seen “ great just , what I wanted . To be even a bigger lonely mole. Seleil must've gotten someone to dance with or.. whatever”
At the moment , Cole wasn't to clever ; He wasn't able to watch his best friend and his first crush dance together . He ran his hands over his hairs , they felt light as feather.

Soon Seliel came with a plate “ here you go ,your cake”

Cole took one look at it , then back at the girl who sat next to him , he smiled “ I already have my cake”

Seliel returned the smile and winked “ yeah , i know this cake , or let's say your date”

Cole came near the girl's face “ you smell like a soft cake”  

As soon as Cole said those words , a light blush danced on Seliel’s face as of they were in a mood to annoy her , not even a second late.

Seliel could feel his breath on her as he spoke “ why was I so stupid , on asking an actual cake rather than asking a human cake “

he told her“if I would've known you were my cake . I would never had asked a that cake “
Seleil’s blush grew pinker as he continued“ oh and no need to worry about that cake , it'll be glad to go in my stomach . “

Moment of silence filled the atmosphere around the two after Coke had gotten away from her face . “ Cole..I ..umm..” Seliel said breaking the silence in between them . An eyebrow of Cole went high , as the other went low .

“ I...l...umm.. if you meant that y-you like me .. “ she a light blush decorated her face.

“ like I said before to you. Love isn't a race , it comes eventually “  He repeated.

Cole then took her hands and stood up , getting her up along with him “ care for a dance , m’lady ? “

“ sure”  she answered , smiling. It seemed as if this couple was made by God in one sight.

like two fireflies on a dark nights ,

Cole pulled her closer as a slow song danced into his ears , he held Seliel closer to him. He than came closer to Seliel‘s ear and whispered “ why didn't we thought on going together in the first place ? “

The rainbow on dark days ,

“ you idiot . How many times have I showed you signs that I like you ! “ Seliel blurted out causing Cole to chuckle , seems like she was ready for another fight.

On a dark sky , being the lights ,

“ well , let’s say I was obsessed over a that cake “ he told her who gave a small smile to herself “ what a day”

Like the sun’s rays .

“ well , it was . I love you , my cake “

“ I love you too , my chocolate”
