Chapter 17: A day out in Cakeland
Erza's POV:
"You got it?" I asked.
"Hell yah, I did!"
"Great! Now can we go inside?" I wailed in desperation.
Lucy gave me a small giggle, tucking her pink camera back into her backpack. "Okay, Erza."
My eyes widened in excitement and I called over Honey who was wearing the Cakeland theme hats. It was shaped as a giant strawberry which came in a variety of colours and designs. He wore the original style just like I did.
"Let's go!" Honey exclaimed, grabbing my large hand within his small one and hauled me over to the front entrance where several people lined up.
It took some time for time for us to actually pass through the gates of the amusement park, but thankfully after a lot of praying and waiting we manage to get in, showing our admissions as we entered.
It was incredible. The attractions to the games to the food. Everything was extraordinary than the reviews on the Internet! No wonder they said this was the happiest place on earth. It really is a dream come true-
"Take a picture already!"
"Yes, ma'am!"
*click!
*flash!
I turned my attention to Renge who was standing behind us along with her camera crew. It looked as if they wanted a picture of Honey and I gazing out into the scenery only from behind.
"We got it for you, ma'am," said Courtney.
"Excellent work!" smiled Renge. "Now I may post it upon my social media."
My eyes enlarged in disbelief. "R-Renge! That's really un-ne-"
"And post! Awww... It's so cute! Good picture Erza Senpai!!" She gave me a peace sign with her fingers then scurries away with her camera crew.
Until a familiar voice piped up, "Oh, I do so want to ride the chocolate rollarcoster!"
It was Tamaki.
"Why don't we go visit the Cocoa caves?"
"Ooh! May I join?!" asked Honey, jumping up and down.
"I was about to invite you, Honey Senpai, so the answer is always yes!!"
"OHBOIOHBOIOHBOIOHBOIOHBOIOHBOI-"
I watched as Honey skips over to a rapturous Tamaki, leaving me by myself with Mori, Kyoya and Mira. Too bad I lost sight of the girls and the rest of the host club. I wonder where they ran off too?
"Is Tamaki always like this?" I asked.
Kyoya turned his attention from the map towards me and I gave him a confusing look. "Only everyday." He replied in an honest tone.
I sweatdropped. "I can see why he calls you Mommy."
Mira rolled her eyes, giving out a slight smirk. "Erza," she said. "Let's go ride the strawberry ferris wheel."
My eyes suddenly twinkled hearing the word ride.
"O-Okay." I nodded as Mira took my hand in hers, hauling me away.
Honey's POV:
"It's dark in here, Tama chan," I shivered. "Are you sure the rollercoster is this way?"
Tama chan smiled under the golden flashlight. "Of course. Once we make it to the end of this trail, I guarantee the rollercoaster will be there waiting for us."
"A-Alright." I muttered.
Tama chan lead me deeper into the Cocoa caves and I gratefully clinged onto his large hand. It wasn't until I heard a small cracking sound that soon echoed against the caves's walls. I yelped in alarm from the sudden sound creating Tama chan to do the same, jumping into my arms as if he's been a scaredy-cat too long.
The sound came again although, a sequence of soft footsteps to go with it. We shivered on the spot and almost forgot the most life-saving ability we could ever do in a situation like this.
RUN.
Screaming, we dashed further along the pathway of the Cocoa caves until we reached the end of our trail. The light. It was glorious, including the sight of the chocolate rollercoster that was waiting before us like Tama chan said.
We sprinted our way past a few people photographing the pleasing sight of the Cocoa caves that we didn't take notice of how extremely long the line-up was.
"EVERYBODY, RUN!! THERE'S TITANS IN THE CAVES!!!" Tama chan warned, flailing his arms in the air.
The tourists exchanged confused glances, wondering what Tama chan was yapping about. I began shrieking a firetruck's siren while Tama chan continued babbling about how the titans are coming to devour our bodies.
All of a sudden, a shaking bang appeared startling the tourists to jump in alarm. Espeicially Tama chan and I who became both physically and emotionally paralyzed.
A howl of a sound came from behind a small crowd of tourists and then a microphone was switched on.
"Please let your guards down, men," announced the microphone. I recongized that voice anywhere.
Sir.
Gradually, Sir stirred his way through the small crowd of people and stood long before us, eye twitching and scowling behind a false smile.
"What is going on here?" asked the butler, turning off his microphone.
"SIR!! ARE WE GLAD TO SEE YOU!!!" cried Tama chan pleading upon shaking knees. "THERE ARE TITANS IN THE CAVES!!"
"Titans?" repeated Sir. "You mean my henchmen?" He gestered towards two gigantic men behind us, that we scoot around to find the same ones who dragged out Tama chan and Kyo chan a few days ago.
"I see you were startled by my men," Sir continued in a formal tone. "My apoligies. I needed them for something important." His voice trailed drastically making me wonder what's the thing Sir's henchmen were instructed to do.
Tama chan stood up, realived from what he was hearing. "Thank goodness," He breathed. "For a second there I thought I was going to di-"
"HEY, HONEY!! COME RIDE THE ROLLERCOASTER WITH US!!" cried a familair voice. It was Lu chan seated with her friends, Haru chan and the twins. They seemed excited and anxious waiting for the ride to start.
Forgetting about our purpose of why we came here, I gratefully accepted Lu chan's offer by grinning in return. "I'm coming!!" I yelled back, leaving a paralyed Tama on the ground.
"Hold on a minute!" cried Sir unexpectedly. His sudden warning made my feet plant into the floor. "If your going, I'm going as well. I wanted to escort you people around the secret areas of the castle and possible the other theme parks." He grinned widely at the end, making me stay hesistant for a while long. Shurging to myself I said, "Okay!" and dashed towards my friends.
Sir's POV:
I knew that little brat would agree. My villanous plan is going exactly like clock-work. It was all too simple, really. Escort them to the castle's underground entrance ways located everywhere under the whole theme park (its where the characters can arrive at their destination easily instead of flying past tourists). Tour them through the hallways and reach the trap I created with the help of my henchmen. And finally, escape from their sight until they realize I was gone.
Wringing my hands, I carefully unlatched the door of the coaster and then stepped inside. I slammed the side door shut, after climbing in the open seat beside the midget.
We pulled over the large, metal lap bars over our legs and the sensation of waiting for the ride to start became quite sickening that I almost gagged.
I've never been on any of the rides of Cakeland's theme parks, (I don't care about the rides or the people anyway) so this was a new imitading feeling I haven't felt before. It felt oddly satisfying, although remembering the brat was here I scowled to myself and waited for the stupid teenage employee to begin the ride.
It was then to a point where I wanted to holler at the employee to hurry his ass up before my patience flies down the drain. However, without me doing so, he began to quickly go over the rules and flick the switch, moving the carts forward.
"Yay!" exclaimed the tiny brat, gripping onto the lap bar tight. "I'm so excited!! What about you, Sir?"
My attention turned toward him and I gave him my signature false grins. "Of course, I am." I said, while in reality I was dying of anxiety inside.
By a small amount of force, the coaster sped up and into the frightening darkness before us. I shut my eyes for a quick ten seconds then open, waiting for the coaster to run at its full limit.
Until, it came.
I felt myself flying with sways of wind from the caves and the speed of the coaster quickly turning this way and that. I never felt so terrified in my life that an unexpected ear-piercing wail came screaming its way out of my throat before I could even control it. Ignoring the laughing and cheering and screaming of idiots around me, including the little brat who was laughing the whole time, I continued focusing on my own screaming until the ride came to a complete stop.
The small brat removed the lap bars, grinning from ear to ear, while I scrambled out of my seat and found the nearest trash can available, heaving out all the memories that scarred me for life. Never am I going on that death trap, again.
Tamaki's POV:
I carefully lifted myself off the ground and noticed people were staring at me. What's with them, I thought. My eyes turned to the ceiling of the Cocoa caves which was glorious, and then the chocolate rollercoaster line which was a bit shorter than before. That's when I realized Honey Senpai wasn't with me. He wasn't anywhere! And so was Sir.
Falling onto my hands and knees I began to bawl to my hearts content (anime-style).
"WHAT HAVE I'VE DONE TO DESERVE THISSSS??!!"
Mirajane's POV:
I can't believe I'm saying this, but, I really did enjoy the day with Erza. Especially the Strawberry ferris wheel. I've never seen Erza so estatic in all my life that I couldn't help but smile to myself the entire ride.
"It sure is beautiful, isn't it, Titania?" I said, breaking the silence between us.
She turned away from the wide, strawberry shaped window to me, a wide, goofy smile across her face. "Sure is!" she replied, eyes twinkling. "It's true what they say."
"Say what?"
"That dreams really come true here in Cakeland."
I giggled from the humorous face she made. "I guess it does."
It became silent for a moment until the sound of my phone began to vibrate from the mini satin purse I brought along. It's gold chain made a racket when I pulled it from underneath the seat.
"Mira-san! Hi!"
It was Juvia.
"Hey, Juvia. What's up?"
"Great! Juvia's just letting you know we're exploring the areas of Cakeland castle with Sir."
Sir? Oh, the butler of the resort.
"Alright, have fun! And take pictures too. I'm with Erza on the ferris wheel. Seems she's having fun."
My eyes flicked to Erza who's face was against the window in bewilderment, tipping the cart a bit off balance by her weight.
"Ooh! Lookie, Mira, there's mini chocolate bon bons everywhere! They almost look good enough to eat."
I looked down the window to find Erza's mini chocolate bon bons. There wasn't anywhere except for the rides and nearby theme parks.
I sweatdropped. "Erza, all I see are people."
"I know," she muttered where I caught a brief glance of Erza licking her lips.
"Mira-san? Is everything alright?"
Forgetting Juvia was on the line I turned away from the drooling Titania to the window beside me.
"Oh, yeah. Everything's... great!" I lied.
"Well, we'll see you later for the show in front of the castle."
"Sounds like a plan. Bye now!"
"Bye, Mira-san." And with that, Juvia hanged up.
