Chapter 16: I guess I'll never know
~Later that night...~
Erza's POV:
Ahhhh... I'm stuff! That buffet dinner was amazing! Espeicially the cotton candy!
I carefully took out my red velvet cupcake wallet from my purse and took out the key card Sir gave Mori and I. I slide it through the scanner-thiny, until I heard a beep, and open the door.
"We're ho..." my voice trails off as my eyes grew bigger than twice the size of my own head.
Honey, who was standing beside me, walks in our room. He turns to look at me. His face was pale white and his lip quivers as he spoke, "E-Erza... Senpai? W-Wh..." tears started to weld up in Honey's eyes.
I leaned down to give him a big hug. Mori hugs me and Honey from behind. We stood there a for a few minutes, until I let go of the hug and scream at top of my lungs what I've always wanted to say,
"WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED IN HERE???????!!!!!!!!!"
My voice breaks the sugar glass windows shaking the whole room and the hallways outside. Once I finished, I wipe my mouth with a hankerchief and turn to look at my two friends. They turned pale white while their bottom jaws were bobbing up and down of speachless words. Even Usa-chan showed emotion.
I give out a small chuckle, "Sorry, did my over-the-top scream blow out your eardrums?" I said, flipping my red hair over my shoulder. They nod, still bobbing their bottom jaws up and down.
All of a sudden, an old maid runs to our room. "What happe..." her voice trails off. "OH MY GOODNESS! WHAT DID YOU DO?!"
I turn to look at the woman, "Excuse me, but it wasn't us who did this. Someone in your staff may have caused two giant elephants to storm into our room and we would like to complain about the situation."
The woman blinks twice until my sarcasm sinks into her thick skull, "Certainly, Miss Erza. I will contact the front de-" "I'm sorry," Mori interrupts as he takes out a piece of paper from his pocket, "But, I think we should contact the front desk. After all, we know a person who we can trust." The woman gave Mori a confused look, "Who may that be?"
"Sir." Mori responds.
Haruhi's POV:
I honestly thought that buffet dinner was amazing! Wow! I'm stuff! I can't wait to go lie down on my bed. I need some rest!
Tamaki, Kyoya, the twins and I lead the rest of our friends upstairs to the 25th floor, down the hallway, made a quick left, then right, until we made it to our rooms.
All of us took out our key cards and slide them into the scanner-thiny simutamously, opening the door.
I close the door behind me and lock it. I then ran to my bed and flop myself on it.
Ahhhh... I'm so... sleepy... *yawn
I slowly close my eyes, until I heard a knock at the door. I lazily got up and walk towards the sound, "Coming..." I said, grougly.
"Oh, Haruhi! Can we talk!?" said a cheerful voice from the other side.
I reconize that voice anywhere. I smile to myself.
I sliently open the door and found Tamaki standing by the doorway. He had a big and happy grin on his face. I leaned against the door beside me, cross my arms and smirk, "What do you want now, Sempai?"
"I wanted to tell you something!" he says. I groan internally, "I already told you, Tamaki! You are not, repeat, NOT going to make me wear the bunny suit!!!"
Tamaki gives me sad puppy-dog eyes, "Aww... It would look so cute on you!" This time I groan out loud. He laughs and continues, "I'm not here to tell you to wear the bunny suit," I bow down to him through my thoughts, "But, I'm here to tell you my idea!"
I gave Sempai a confused look, "What idea may that be?"
"Drumroll please," he says, hitting the door with both of his index fingers, "A day out in Cakeland!"
I sweatdrop. What the heck does that mean?
Tamaki continues, "What I mean is, we should take Honey Senpai and Erza Senpai out to the attractions tommorow morning!!" I roll my eyes, "Isn't that why we a-" "Don't worry, my dear!" Tamaki interuppts. "Mommy and I already payed for our admission to Cakeland and so we get to go on every single ride at every single theme park! I heard there's five theme parks! Oh! And we even get to watch a show happening infront of Cakeland's Castle! Well, it looks more of a cake... a Cake Castle! I can't wait for the rides! Especially the chocolate roller coaster! That's in the chocolate theme park. I forgot the actual name though. Maybe I should look at the map again. So what do you say, my dear? Isn't my fabulous idea worthwhile?"
But my answer didn't come because I already closed the door infront of Sempai's face before he was finish talking.
"Okay, Haruhi. I'll tell everyone else right now! Love yah!"
"Love yah too..." I mocked Sempai as I heard his footsteps scamper across the hallway and knocking on everyones' door.
I sigh walking over to my closet, "Well, I better start planning of what I'm going to wear and bring tommorow." I mummer to myself.
Honey's POV:
"Sir." Takashi responds.
I glance at Erza Senpai. I look down as her fists clenches. What's going on with her?
The old maid blinks twice at Takashi's response until Sir's name sinks through her thick skull, "Alright, Mr. Morinozuka. I will leave you three here to do your thing." she says, and closes the door.
"What was that all about?!" Erzy Senpai suddenly asks through clenched teeth. "Y'know I don't feel comfortable talking to Sir!"
Takashi's eyes grew big, "You don't trust Sir?"
"Yes and no." Erza Senpai replys back. "What I mean is that I have a gut feeling he was the one who did this." "But why would a person so capable to serve us properly actually do such a horrible thing?" "Your not getting my point!" "And your not getting mine!"
Erzy Senpai rubs her temples, "Look Mori, I don't want to argue right now. We just have to find a different room to sleep in, because no way in hell are we cleaning this up."
Wow. I never knew Erza Senpai's mood can esculate so quickly. I stare at the both of them silently for a few minutes.
I then made my way to our closet and open it. Oh good. The bad guy didn't mess up our closet. I grab all of my stuff including my clothes that were hanging inside, my lugguage, and my three stuff animals I brought along with me (of course Usa-chan).
Erza Senpai and Takashi must've notice my actions and started packing up their things too. Silence filled the air as the three us said packed up our stuff and made our way down to the front desk.
~the next morning...~
Mori's POV:
"You're awake...?" I said, coming from the bathroom. I was the first to wake up, which I found pretty odd considering that Erza Senpai had as much energy as Mitsunkni.
Erza Senpai blushes as she notices me in a towel, "Y-Yeah... Ugh. Can you put some clothes on?!" she says playfully, covering her head with the covers.
I look down forgeting I was naked, "Oh! Uh, s-sorry!"
It took a few moments until Erza Senpai spoke up, "You done?" "Yes." I reply smiling. She removes the covers from her head and gets up from her bed. "Ahhh..." she exclaims streching. "I almost forgot that we were in a different room." I nod in reply as I put on my shoes.
It took all night to find a different room because almost every room that could fit three people was taken. We ended up in a room on the second-to-last floor. It wasn't as luxurious as we thought, but still capable to give us a good night's sleep.
I still didn't understand why Erza Senpai was refusing to see or even talk to Sir last night. We were arguing with each other for the past few hours! I bet the nice, young lady at the front desk was overwhelmed of our behaviour. Is there something wrong with Erza Senpai? No. I shouldn't make any judgements. She's still a guest to the host club and I can't let the host club down if I use any bad judgements on her. Especially infront of Mitsunkni. I'll just let it go for now and keep an eye out for this guy in the fancy tuxedo who's name is 'Sir.'
Erza's POV:
Last night scenes kept playing in my head. I haven't been this rude to somebody from the host club before. I didn't mean too. Maybe I should apoligize to Mori. But he probably already forgot about my behaviour last night. What should I do?
I took a deep breath and tried to collect up as much courage to say what I've always wanted to say after last night,
"Mori, I'm sorry for my behaviour."
He drops the book he was reading on the couch, "I'm sorry, what did you say?"
Now it's making me feel a little bit awkward, "I'm sorry for my behaviour last night." I slowly repeated walking over to the couch and sitting next to Mori. He looks at me with suspision in his eyes, "Okay, but uh, why are you apoligizing?"
I could feel the blood rise up to my cheeks, "Umm... y'know, just because?" I said which accidently came out in a question.
"No, really. Why are you apoligizing?" Mori says with a smirk.
Ooh! I blush even harder. Why does he want to know? I summon enough courage to give him my honest answer, "B-Because you were mad at me l-last night, so I wanted to apoli-" Mori suddenly puts his finger on my lips making me blush five times harder than before. His smirk turns into a playful smile, "I'm just teasing. You are forgiving."
A sigh of relief escapes as he releases his finger from my lips. My cheeks were burning so much I thought I was going to get a bad nosebleed right there on the spot. (>\\\\\\\<)
I shake my head as I got up from the couch. I then made my way past a sleeping Honey on the bed and open the curtains, letting the bright sunlight shine through. Even though we weren't at the very top floor, I was still glad that we got a nice view of the outdoor swimming pools and the beach quite farther up ahead.
I guess the bright light must've woked up Honey because when I turn around to wake up the cute little boy, he was gone without a trace.
I was about to go see if he is in the bathroom but then my phone started ringing on the bedside table.
"Hello?" I answered.
"Morning, Senpai!" cried a cheerful voice from the other end. "It's Tamaki!"
A smile made its way to my face, "Oh, good morning!"
"There's something I would like to tell you." "O-Okay." I slowly replied.
"How would you and Honey Senpai like to spend the day at Cakeland and ride the attractions?!"
Cakeland?
Attractions?
Spend the day?
*THUD!
Mori's POV:
"Erza Senpai? Hello? You there?" asks Tamaki from the other end.
I gently pick up Erza Senpai in my arms and place her on her bed. I then pick up her phone and replied, "Hey, Tamaki. Erza Senpai cannot reach you at the moment so please call us back. Bye."
I then hang up the phone.
"Takashi! I need help, please!" called Mitsunkni from the bathroom.
"Okay, I'm coming."
Tamaki's POV:
"Hey, Tamaki. Erza Senpai cannot reach you at the moment so please call us back. Bye." replied Mori Senpai, then hangs up.
Eh?
What was that all about? Did Erza Senpai die hearing my great news or something?
I think she did.
"What did Erza Senpai say on the other line?" asks the twins. "Oh, that was Mori Senpai. Everything's fine." I reply sweatdropping and waving my hand in dismissal.
The twins shurg and walk away to join the others in the hallway.
Honey's POV:
"Erzy Senpai! Wake up! Wake up! WAKE UP!" I mentally screamed, poking her cheek a billion times.
"Huh...?" she says opening her eyes. "Did I die?"
I giggle, "No, you didn't."
"Oh, good." she replies.
"Maybe!" I said.
"WHAT?!"
"Hurry up or we can't go to Cakeland and ride the attractions!"
Erza Senpai shots up, "That's right!" she says, making her way to the bathroom and slamming the door.
I then see Takashi laughing to himself on the couch.
He notices me staring and shuts himself up, looking back at his book he was pretending to read.
Did something happen between these two?
I guess I'll never know.
