Part 24

"How many times have I told you two that you are not allowed to train at full strength inside the village?!" Kakashi shouted at his disheveled students who stood arms crossed in his office,

"Kakashi-sensei, we would not have this problem if those damned Hyuga's knew their place," Sasuke said angrily, his sharingan still activated, Kakashi ran a hand through his hair, briefly glancing at the twins, who stood a bit further away from him, closer to the door, knowing that that comment probably was not aimed at them and looked at Naruto for confirmation. The blonde nodded. Kakashi sighed, reduced to looking at Naruto to be the level-headed one, what has his life become.

"What did they do now?" Kakashi sighed, when will that clan learn? If it weren't for the sisters, he would have half the mind to forbid them from ever being in contact with the clan, for peace's sake.

"They wish to brand me," Hikari spoke up, walking closer, Kakashi's widened, familiar with the Hyuga's caged bird's seal practices. He could not believe that the clan had the gall to even consider bring it up after sealing her away for most of her life and basically disowning her, refusing to refer to her as an Hyuga since her return.

He understood his students' anger, after everything she had been through with that clan, they were still determined to make the twins suffer. He knew that Hinata had been passionate about bringing it an end, especially after their cousin Neji passed away. Her clan had kept her so busy with her training to become the new head, that what spare time she did have had to be spent resting, no longer able to come to him and team up with Shikamaru to bring her clans farce to an end. Its almost as if they knew, as if they intended to keep her away from dissolving the seal. He could only imagine how much this has been tearing her apart, especially since its impacting her so closely...again.

He looked at the younger twin who looked especially worn out. She was shaking  slightly, her hair soaked from the rain outside and her skin paler than usual. She looked like she was barely holding it together, a stark difference compared to her steel-faced sister, who stood calmly listening to every word spoken. The older twin was reserved, watching the pair who nearly tore the village apart from their tantrum, intently. He notice that she was discretely holding her younger sister's hand, her thumb tracing over her sister's, the movement successfully calming the girl behind her, saw her eyes trained on Sasuke's sides, his fist were still balled, and shoulders tensed.

She looked ready to stand between them...again. It was truly an odd sight to find this woman who could barely walk not too long ago, nearly keep up with his students. Their anger was blinding them blows that could have potentially been fatal were blocked by her either hitting them out of the way when they weren't looking or blocking in with herself... his students were luckily fast enough to divert their attacks before they hit her... the sight was traumatic for him to say the least. She kept up with them... using the rain and her chakra

Any untrained eye would have not notice the storm brewing behind her eyes, she was furious and any unskilled ninja would not be able to feel the sheer amount of chakra radiating off, the unseen kind that naturally came from a ninja was ebbing from her in waves. He could tell that Konoha's darkened skies were infused with it. She had a powerful, yet natural affinity to water, that was somehow powerful enough to impact the village's climate. Of course Sasuke would choose someone like this, he would not expect anything less from his student. This woman was a force to recon with.

"Is there anything we can do about it?" He asked Shikamaru, who stood in the corner. Having been one of the people to help separate the 2 members of team 7, he had been a little shaken ever since they got back, much like the rest of their cohort. He shook his head,

" Clan affairs have always been outside of village law,"  he explained,

"How convenient," Sasuke mumbled,

"All clans have their affairs," Shikamaru shrugged, Sasuke although irked that the Nara came across as he was making excuses for Hyuga, tried to remain calm and looked at him to explain further. He heard the male gulp before speaking again, which made him fight a smirk knowing that he and Naruto reminded many of their comrades of their power from their little tantrum.

"Uchiha's skipped traditional schooling, training and ranks all the time, because although none of them on your brother and yours's level, they were all advanced. When that happens, no one asked any questions, because the Uchiha trained their own," He explained, Sasuke's widened never having been old enough to notice it until someone pointed it out for him. It made sense, he saw it happen all the time, it was why the Uchiha lands were almost as large as the Nara clan's. Instead of maintaining the wild life, the Uchiha lands were used as exclusive training grounds.

"The Nara's have always had the largest lands after agreeing to look after the wild life of Konoha, the Inuzuka and Aburame clan's frequent those lands as they aid in maintaining ecosystems. It is mandatory for each member to take a year of their lives to better the wild life, which is why majority of us are actually a year older than the cohort. No one asks questions as to why we are removed from the academy for a year, it just happens," Shikamaru explained, Sasuke knew of that practice already, however Naruto looked completely taken a back by the shadow master's words,

"Lastly, the Hyuga take hierarchy very seriously, as all clans did, back when the fire nation was still forming. We all have a less structured and more familial approach to being part of clans, whereas Hyuga maintained the ways of old. The ones that lead the clan depends on lineage, unlike the rest of Konoha's clans which are determined by whichever warrior is the strongest," Naruto's eyes widened as he looked to his friend,

"It's true," Sasuke nodded,

"My great- great grand father challenged his clan leader at the time, after the title being out of my family's line for two generations. It had been a constant power struggle between three lines since the creation of the clan. My grandfather was victorious through 15 challenges throughout his life. My father only had two and I have had 7." Sasuke explained,

"7? But only a member of the Uchiha clan or someone of the bloodlines could challenge you, there has not even been 7 Uchiha's on this Earth since you were of age to be challenged," Hikari suddenly spoke up, voicing everyone's confusion. Kakashi was grateful that the slight deviation from their current concerns distracted her, her constant flow of furious chakra was beginning to make his neck hurt. Sasuke nodded and tried to hide his pride,

"Obito and Madara's reincarnation each challenged me," he explained, which caused Hikari's eye to widen, the great Madara, who brought the Uchiha's to Konoha in the first place, challenged him, and he still held the title...

"The last battle and all battles leading up to it, Itachi and I were challenging each other for the title, " he explained, they had thrown the title back and forth for years before Sasuke won it permanently, it was only after that when he was on the same battlefield as Obitio that Sasuke realized what Itachi was doing, the title was Sasuke's, he earned it and no one could take it frim him. Sasuke was not the heir, because the true heir died, he was heir because no one could take that way from him. It was something to be proud of.
