Meeting with Thor

Laura walks through Asgard and looks around to see soldiers lying on the floor, injured as blood spilled out onto the floor. Her eyes widened as she looked through the destruction that had run through Asgard. She runs over to a black-haired woman in Asgardian Soldier gear. Laura's eyes widened as she noticed who the woman was. "Lexi!" Laura yells as she examines the danger that had happened to her friend. Loki slowly walks behind Laura as he looks at Lexi, his eyes darting to her wound that is bleeding. "You...I bet you did this." Lexi accuses Loki as a scowl appears on her face. Loki could understand that his reputation was bad, and he wasn't surprised that someone other than Laura would ever forgive him.

Loki shook his head as he tried not to look like he cared, however deeply he hated the fact of seeing his home torn apart and his people hurt like they were currently, and he reveled in the idea of killing the perpetrator of the attack no matter how gruesome it would be. Laura, on the other hand, was left in shock as she saw her comrades die or be heavily injured in front of her. Cassie walks through last as she looks around to see what is happening around her. She runs over as she uses a portal to get to Doctor Strange's office and takes a healing potion. She then closes the portal and passes the potion to Laura, who looks at her friend with a slight bit of confusion. "Where did you get this from?" Laura asked, baffled that she hadn't seen powers like this even from her best friend.

Cassie looked over to Laura as she scratched the back of her head nervously. Even though Laura had seen Cassie's powers in the past, they weren't to this extent compared to the more simple portal spells that she would use to assist Laura in catching enemies, so she was both proud and flustered by Laura's reaction to this. Cassie knew this was something related to her long training and studying. Laura, on the other hand, was excited to see this new side of her best friend and was excited to see that Cassie had grown in her powers. Laura had a hint of jealousy as well since she wished she had experienced the same amount of growth in her powers as Cassie had. She was more confident working in a group rather than alone, and she felt stagnant because of this.

Loki placed a hand on Laura's shoulder as he looked around at the dead bodies scattering the entrance of Asgard. Laura glanced behind her until she just as quickly moved forward to investigate who had killed all her cousins. Cassie looked worried as Laura had the expression of someone seeking revenge, and even though she couldn't blame Laura for these feelings, she also knew how the goal of revenge could drive someone down a very dangerous path, and it pained her to think of even the possibility of Laura striving for revenge. She trusted that Laura could fight against those urges and restore justice. As Laura walked through the gates, she slowly and calmly looked around to try and analyze the situation around her.

Laura's eyes widened as she walked over to the prison, as she spotted that the door was slightly ajar the closer she walked to it. From a distance, it didn't look like this was the case; however, this became more obvious once Laura inspected the door more closely. What scared her more was the fact that this prisoner was able to kill many of her even stronger guards. Cassie and Loki slowly followed from behind as Loki gently moved Laura away from the door. "I know these doors a bit too well." Loki teased while looking from the top to the bottom of the door. Laura rolls her eyes as she can't count how many times she and her fellow soldiers have had to deal with Loki escaping way too often, especially when he got more used to how the prison worked.

Once Loki had analyzed the door, he walked back and looked at Laura. "The person seems to have broken through the door with a laser," Loki stated as he stroked his finger across a large black mark placed around the edges of the door. He then looked down at the slowly drying blood next to the black laser mark. " What was your head guard even doing at this time?" Loki said in disbelief that the protection of Asgard hadn't been as strong. Laura furrowed her eyebrows as she seemed slightly offended by Loki's comment. Even with the mistakes the head guard had made at the time, Laura still had a deep respect for her and knew that, even with her mistakes, she was just trying her best to keep Asgard safe, just like Laura was. Laura's eyes widened as she spotted a guard run towards her.

"What happened?" Laura asked in a calm manner, trying not to make the guard feel more overwhelmed and panicked as she sat her fellow guard down in a comfy seat that was still intact.

The guard took a deep breath before replying, "There was a robot with lasers beside a group of monsters that looked...Slimy. I then saw five people with their faces covered." The soldier said Laura's eyes widened as she remembered the faces of the prisoners that the guard was talking about. She remembered how quiet they were inside the prison. The masked people, especially, always seemed quiet yet sinister. Even when they slept, they always kept their masks on, which made her wonder why they'd need to hide their identity. The monsters, however, looked pretty scary and seemed very aggressive compared to the masked people, even when she tried her best to break through the aggression. She was scared as she noticed that both of the prisoners she feared the most had escaped without her even knowing. As soon as she knew.

Her eyes glazed shut...
