Into the depth.

Laura looked around as she walked down the prison halls with the prisoners she had seen once before lined up at the sides of the hall. She had her sights focused on one prisoner which was Loki. She made her way down the halls as she noticed the blue wall separating her from the prisoners encasing the cells. On the outside, she tried to keep her cool but on the inside, she was writing her will. She knew how dangerous Loki was so she would be lucky to even make it out without an injury. She knew nothing about this man yet was being sent in for this mission which felt so confusing to her. She wondered why they would even think to send in someone like her who knew nothing about him compared to what people like Thor and the people close to him would know. Did the head guard see something in her that others didn't? Was the head guard teasing her?

As soon as she got to Loki's cell she noticed his eyes immediately glance up at her however this wasn't a welcoming gaze. She knew that he was wanting something from her. She hoped that he wouldn't want to kill her at this point. "Are you back to free me? I was rather getting comfortable here" He mused as he glanced back down to his book. Laura rolled her eyes in response "With all the special treatment you get I'm sure you'd be quite comfortable. " Laura said with a hint of disgust in her tone.  Laura then cheekily raised her eyebrow as she leaned against the window "I guess you wouldn't want to be set free then." She mused as Loki then frowned " Of course, I want to be free it feels boring being in this stupid prison. You know, I could kill you right here?" Loki casually mused which made Laura gulp as she quickly gained back her composure.

She felt like even showing a tiny bit of weakness could put her in a perilous position. She hoped that her power as the guard could give her a bit of safety. Loki walked closer to the window of the cage as he menacingly met her gaze.  She backed up slightly as he sarcastically shook his head. "Stop trying to act so tough. Why are you even trying? I'm not going to listen to people like you unless you have something of benefit." Loki said sounding slightly bored. " I need your help. We have a dangerous monster within the dark dimension. Your the only one who can get there." Laura asked as her pleading tone started to peer through her words as Loki had a deep mocking laugh under his breath.

Loki smirks slightly as he backs away and sits down on the bed. " People for years have been bargaining with gods. The difference is that humans have an offer. I don't see you currently offering up anything to me. It better be of worth. " He stated as there was a moment of silence until he muttered quietly only so she could hear "Laura~" Laura froze slightly as her eyes widened slightly. It wasn't surprising that he knew her name since she wasn't shy about mentioning it to the prisoners she had respect for so there would be no surprise if he overheard it muttered.  It was the way he said it so menacingly that sent a shiver down her spine. At this point,  her calm composure began to buckle.

Laura stepped back from the glass as she quickly shook her head to shake off the nervousness she then clears her throat. "Look, wouldn't me offering your escape be enough? You get to be free once again, maybe even cause some havoc for the mission." Laura bargained as Loki rolled his eyes in response. " It makes no difference if I'm in here or out there-" Loki points at the barricade between him and Laura. "I will still be under the control of a guard. I want total freedom." Laura shook her head as she turned to look at the prisoners. " And that went well last time, didn't it?" She stated sarcastically as Loki met her gaze as if he was trying to intimidate her.

" Your not special Laura. You may be a guard but I am a god. You have no leadership over me and one day I will prove that to you. " He said in a menacing tone. Laura looked around at the other prisoners. " Some of these prisoners thought the same as you but you know what happened? They ended up here." Laura leans forward " Just, like, you." Laura added. "It's your choice whether you stay here and waste your life being bored or you can join me and have one last adventure. You're probably missing some action out there."  She now had a more serious tone in her voice and she was trying to appeal mostly to his freedom because she knew that was the only upper hand she had in this situation.

Loki was silent for a moment as he lets out a begrudging sigh. "I guess you are right." He gets up as he walks closer to the border. " I just want to make sure that you don't-" As Loki is about to finish his sentence Laura lifts her hand which adds handcuffs to his hands.  Loki looks down as he frowns before the green light comes from his hand to try and break the handcuffs but it's useless. Loki then sighs as he slowly glances up at Laura with a menacing glare. " If you wanted to be let out of the cage then I needed at least something else to keep you secured. You running around free would be dangerous. " Laura states. Loki tries to run out of the room until he is shocked in the hands before even going near the door. Laura looks to the door and looks down at him as Loki lies on the floor. " I told you. Escaping won't work."

Laura wondered if she had more power than she thought from that moment. Maybe she could keep Loki in check...well...she hoped.
