•Chapter-35•

Dil ki khata bhi hai kya, Mujhko gila bhi hai kya
Is dillagi ke siva dil ne,Kiya bhi hai kya....
Aashiq hai yeh chor nahi, main kya karoon
Dil pe mera zor nahin hai, main kya karoon •

"The fuck...."

Vansh cursed in his sleepy tone rubbing his ass which just kissed the floor. Opening his eyes, he muttered some really colourful words under his breath as the heavy duvet from the
couch fell right on top of him.

Realizing that he have fallen down in sleep while tossing on that little couch, He felt embarrassed... Not his fault. He wasn't used to sleeping on the couch before.

Removing the duvet from his body, he sat on the floor and looked at the wall clock. It was 5 A.M. in the morning. Throwing the duvet on the couch, he got up and walked towards the closet.

After completing his morning rituals when Vansh RaiSinghania walked out of the bathroom, His turned his neck to the side. The bedlamp was still on and His beautiful wife, Riddhima was sleeping peacefully on his bed  covering herself with the duvet from head to toe. Aargh, How much he wanted to throw that duvet and cuddle with her petite figure.... All of sudden, he was feeling jealous of the duvet and every single fabric of her clothes that were getting a chance to stick to her gorgeous body, whereas he had to control his itching palms in order not to scare her with his burning desires.

Wiping his wet body with the towel, Vansh gazed at her sleeping form. Yesterday when he burnt her bed, he did stormed back to his room in fit of anger but his heart was growing restless. Back in his mind, He knew it was just a small fire which would extinguish with one or two buckets of water but for some reason, he was getting anxious. He wanted to go back and check but stopped  after thinking about his newly made resolution to not run behind her like a love sick puppy.

As the time passed, his restlessness grew. He forgot about the resolution and decided to check on her once. So Wearing his slippers, he walked towards her room.

Door wide open, water dripping from the wet matteress scattering on the floor  - This was the condition of her room when he entered.  His eyes searched for her as he found the room empty.

Closing the door, he walked through the corridors roaming his hawk eyes around to find her...  He stopped in his track and looked down from the railing. It was then that he noticed her sleeping on the sofa in the hall hugging a red heart-shaped pillow close to her chest. Ughhh. It should have been his head dug between her two blossoms instead of that red heart pillow.

Descending the stairs, he reached to the sofa and stopped in front of her sleeping form. The moment his eyes fell on her, all his anxiety vanished and he calmed down.

But the very next second, reality hitted him hard. She preferred to sleep in an uncomfortable position on the couch rather than coming to his room and sleep next to him. For Vansh, it was like a tight slap on his face. He was the only choice of all the beauties who entered in his life, but the Only Girl who really intrigued him so much that he didn't mind marrying her , chooses every damn thing over him. Why wasn't his charm working on her? Where was he failing?

Bending down, he lifted the sleeping Riddhima in his arms and walked upstairs. Kicking the door of his room, he stepped inside and walked towards the bed. As he placed her on the soft mattress of his bed, she moaned in sleep, tossed on the bed and then slept quietly hugging her heart shaped pillow.

He then covered her with duvet and slept on the couch last night.

As Vansh finished wiping his wet body, he dropped the towel wrapped around his waist, thus standing only in his boxers now. Taking slow steps towards the bed, He stood in front her bed and pulled down the duvet from her head. As her beautiful face hidden under the messy hairs came into view, he had the urge of planting a soft kiss on her cheek. And he was about to do exactly that when he remembered his resolution and dropped the thought of going near her.

Walking towards the wardrobe, he combed his hairs with his fingers and then took out his clothes and a travel bag from the wardrobe. He has to leave for the airport in half and hour. For a second, He wanted to wake her and inform about his departure but decided against it. Let it be. She'll find out herself.

The hell with the resolution....One goodbye kiss is mandatory. He thought and leaning down, Vansh softly kissed his sleeping wife's forehead.

Riddhima's POV:-

I tossed in the bed and pulled my leg inside the duvet when I felt ticklish at my foot. After few seconds, I felt weight on my body. I jerked open my eyes and gaped seeing the white pussy cat sitting on my stomach.

"Mummmyyyyyy"

I screamed and got up with jerk. The cat fell from my body. As if scared with my screaming, she hastily jumped from the bed on to the table and then on the floor before scurrying into her cathouse that was placed in the farthest corner of the room.

What the hell was that? How did Ruby come in my room? I bite my lip realizing it wasn't my room. Shit. How do I always end up sleeping in his room.... And why did he even brought me here? Wasn't he the one to set my bed on fire yesterday?

Anger rushed through my veins. I didn't want to stay in his room even for a second more. So I threw the duvet from my body and ran to my room.

Closing the door of my room, I picked up the toothpaste and went into the bathroom. Under the shower, I was reminisced of the twist and turns my life took in last few days. I can't put a fullstop on my life just because I got married to that Devil. I'll have to continue from where I left.  It was then that I decided to join the college again.

I have already wasted half of my preparatory leave in this marriage fiasco, so the coming  days are important for me... In the current scenario, studying at home seems to be highly impossible to me. The walls of this house have started suffocating me. So,  the campus Library is the only option I have.

Standing in front of the mirror, I combed my hairs and arranged my duppatta properly before running down to the dining hall for breakfast.

Author's POV:-

After munching two sandwiches, Riddhima was sipping the orange juice. Her eyes fell on the chair right in front of her. Vansh use to sit there. She was glad that she didn't have to see his face on the dining table today. He might have already left for his office, she concluded and continued seeping the orange juice.

After finishing the breakfast, she put her books in the bag and zipped it. Hanging her bag on her right shoulder, she informed Mrs. D'Souza about coming back late as it was her Anu Maa's order to not leave the mansion without informing Vansh or Mrs. D'Souza about her whereabouts.

When Riddhima asked the driver to drop her to college, Aangre came from God knows where and shooed the driver

"Bhabhi,  You come with me. I'll drop you"

He offered. She pushed the belt of her bag on her shoulder and opened her mouth to say No. But Aangre had already opened the door of his car and asked her to sit in.

Riddhima lowered her head and sat inside the car quietly. What else she could do? Travelling anywhere alone was strictly forbidden for her. Riddhima never understood why these rules were applicable only for her, and not for Ishani, Aaryan or Vansh. She remembered when she was in highschool, how Rudra chachu got busy in meeting and forgot to pick her from school. She took an auto to the mansion. By the time she reached home, her Anu Maa's Blood pressure already shot up. From that day, Riddhima never dared to travel anywhere alone.

"Bhabhi, college aagya"

Aangre told as the car stopped right in front of college gate.

"Bhabhi nahi hun mai aapki. Aainda na bole please"

She said before collecting her bag from the front seat and disappearing in the crowd of students.....

Aangre shook his head , typed "Done Boss" on his mobile and pressed the sent button. He waited in front of college gate for few minutes before taking the U-turn.

"Kaka do samose lana please"

Riddhima said pulling a chair for herself in the college canteen. Keeping her bag on the table, she sat on the chair and looked up at the canteen-wala whom they fondly called as kaka which meant uncle.

"Jii bitiya... Abhi lata hu"

Kaka replied and went to prepare the order. Riddhima then looked at Sejal who pulled the  opposite chair and sat on it.

"Ab batayegi bhi Riddhu majra kya hai? Kabse puchrhi hu tujhse. Lekin tu hai ki muh ko tala lagake baiththi hai"

Sejal asked flaring her nose and tapping her fingers on the table impatiently. From the time she got to know about her bestfriend's wedding from Aaryan, she had so many questions to ask. Most importantly, she wanted to know why wasn't she invited in the wedding? Every time she tried to contact Riddhima from her or Kabir's mobile, the call wouldn't connect. Sejal almost believed that Riddhima has either misplaced her mobile or lost it somewhere untill  one of their common friend told her that she talked with Riddhima on call just a day ago.

That's when Sejal realized that Riddhima has blocked her and Kabir. But why would Riddhima do that? She was so sure her best friend would never do such thing. Infact they would always laugh over how people these days block each other on social media for silliest of reasons. They found it really childish

"Seju, We were in library. Awaaj karte to wo Vikaas dono ko bahar nikaldeta"

Riddhima said opening the zip of her bag and taking out her purse from it. Sejal rolled her eyes hearing about Vikaas. He is a librarian in their college, but only for namesake. He keeps shouting but nobody.....literally nobody listens to him...Haan Haan...Sincere students like Riddhima are always an exception.

"Abhi to bata sakti haina, Look we aren't in library now".

Sejal said flashing her teeth. Riddhima shook her head and was about to say something when the Kaka approached them with two plates in his hands. Placing the plates on the table, he poured the water from the jug in the two glasses and slided it near their plates.

"Kya janna chahti hai, Yahi ki meri itne jaldbaazi me shadi kyu Huyi!".

Riddhima asked picking the Samosa from the plate and taking a bite of it. She didn't want to talk to about it, but Sejal is her best friend. Riddhima had never hidden anything from her before. So, she decided to share every single thing that she went through because of Vansh... Right from manhandling her when she was just eight years old, to intimidating her when he returned back from London and then finally getting married to her by manipulating the family.

"What... Tu pagal hai? Tere muh me zuban nhi hai kya? Ek baar bolke dekhti Anu aunty ko, apne Nalayak bete se teri shadi kabhi nahi hone deti wo"...

Sejal said gritting her teeth. The fact that her best friend chose to marry that good for nothing man instead of fighting back, was making her go mad. Riddhima just had to talk with Anupriya or any other family member once, they wouldn't have taken even a second to call off the marriage after knowing about their son's deeds.

Keeping the half eaten Samosa back in the plate, Riddhima flared her nose looking at Sejal...

"Aur usse kya Ho jata? Ekbaar phirse sab Vansh ko wapas London bhejdete.. Maa se unka beta chhin jata, Dadi se unka pota aur Siya, Ishani, Aaryan se unka Bhai... Mai phirse maa aur dadi ko roj chup chupke Vansh ke liye rote huye nahi dekhna chahti thi Seju "

Riddhima replied on the verge of crying. Only she knew in how much guilt she lived for last fifteen years when she got to know that her Maa and Dadi were living away for their own blood just for her. Vansh would call his family only once in a month to enquire about their health but still his family use to wait everyday for his call.. His one post on facebook was enough to bring smile on everyone's faces.... There wasn't even a single day when Dadi didn't pray to God for Vansh's return. Riddhima didn't want her family to go through this all over again.

" Unbelievable. Itna Sab hone ke baad bhi tu uske baareme sochrhi hai.  Do you even have something known as "self-respect" Riddhima?.. "

Sejal snapped at her. She was genuinely concerned for her emotional fool friend. Riddhima seriously needs to stop being so nice because at the end of day, she is left alone to wipe her tears. She considers RaiSinghanias as her family. But why that same family was oblivious about her feelings, her fears, her doubts and insecurities? She could have at least shared it with Aaryan.

"Janti thi tum nahi samjhogi. Isliye nhi bata rahi thi..... Galti kardi batake maine. You know what, I should leave.... "

Riddhima said pushing her plate and picking her bag from the table. She was already regretting opening her heart in front of her best friend, Sejal. She thought at least Seju would understand her. But No. It's her problem and Riddhima knew she had to deal with it alone.

"Kaka paise Sejal se lelena"

Riddhima stood up and shouted loud enough for the kaka to hear who was preparing orders for other students in the canteen.

Sejal bited her tongue realizing how much she miffed off Riddhima. Pulling Riddhima's hand, Sejal made her sit on the chair.

"Accha meri Maa. Chidd mat. Calm down. Ye bata, Aage kya socha hai tune? Zindagi bhar yunhi us kameene ke jii huzuri karke bitaani hai tujhe?"

Though Sejal knew her answer, yet she asked knitting her brows.

"I'm applying for jobs. Kahi dur agar chotisi bhi job miljaaye, mai mana nhi karungi.... Wahi rehne chali jaungi. Aur Waise bhi Maa Dadi ne mere liye bohot karliya, now I think I should start bearing my own expenses."

Riddhima replied surprising Sejal. This wasn't was she was expecting. Her reply was a mini shock for Sejal...  She hoped she is talking to the right Riddhima... I mean Who would believe that Riddhima Pathak is ready to stay away from her family....

"And what about your family? Anupriya Aunty doesn't even allow you to got to the market without Aaryan or Chachu..... Do you really think she'll let you stay alone ?"

Sejal asked well aware about the rules and regulations in RaiSinghania mansion which she found quite weird. Sejal never understood why Ishani and Aaryan were allowed to do almost everything, but for Riddhima things were not the same. The RaiSinghania clans were always overprotective about her for some unknown reason.

"Maa Hostel to bhej sakti haina.... Jaise 15 saal pehle apne bete ko bheja tha. Aur phir Ishani bhi to Mumbai me rahi haina."

Riddhima reasoned. But Sejal knew that was easy said than done. She wanted to say this on Riddhima's face but looking at her determined face, she decided to keep quiet. Riddhima spent most of her life inside the golden cage of RaiSinghania mansion. This was the first time she was dreaming about breaking the cage. And if this happens, then half of Riddhima's problem would solve. She won't have to live with that Rowdy husband of hers.

"Aur wo Vansh.... Wo jaane dega tujhe?"

Sejal asked wiping her fingers with the tissue. From the story that Riddhima told her, she concluded that this man named Vansh is obsessed with Riddhima. Either he is madly in love with her, or he is just a obsessed narcissitic pschyopath. But what if he is both of this? The thought itself scared Sejal.

"Usse ijajat lena mai zaruri nahi samjhti.."

Riddhima replied surprising Sejal for the second time in the day.

"Ekbaar Delhi se dur kahi rehne chali gayi to, dheere dheere sab theek hojayega. Vansh ka kya....  koi naya khilona milgya to wo khud is shaadi ko bhuljayega. "

Replied replied closing her eyes and remembering the moments from her wedding with Vansh. Memories- good or bad, stays with you forever. But these were those memories that she wanted to erase from her mind and heart for once and forever. And she was sure even Vansh wouldn't remember it for long. Once he sets his eye on some other girl, he would even forget that he is married. After all, which husband would like to remember the marriage in which his wife couldn't give him anything....

Vansh's POV :-

"Alice, forward me all the details. And keep the paperwork ready before the meeting. I hope you know how important this deal is for our company..."

I ordered spinning the pen between my fingers. It has been 5 hours since I landed in London. I went straight into the office to prepare for the meeting with the European clients. Though my partner handles our branches in London, but these European client wanted to deal with only. So I had to fly to  London urgently.

My secretary Alice nodded her head and went closing the door. Sitting on the office chair, I rested my leg on the table in front of me and took out my mobile.

It was 7:30 am in London, UK.  What time it would be in India? 12:00 pm, I calculated and wondered what Riddhima might be doing?

I'm feeling guilty for leaving her alone. I should have at least informed her before leaving for London. I was about to send a text to her but then I remembered about last night. No, I won't inform her. She'll find out herself.

I closed my eyes and rested my head on the headrest of the chair. Riddhima's beautiful face flashed before me. I felt this sudden urge of seeing her. I wanted to do a video call but No, I'm not going to do it. This time, I want her to come to me.... To talk with me.

Opening the whatsapp, I downloaded the wedding photos which the photographer sent me today morning. I scrolled few photos untill my eyes stopped on one and before I knew, I was already staring the picture. It was Riddhima's photograph from our haldi ceremony in which she was smiling while talking to the kids pihu and Armaan. This was the only photo of her in which she had smile on her face, and I couldn't stop myself from adoring it. When my fingers started tracing her lips and cheeks on the mobile screen, I didn't even realized.

I selected the picture and immediately set it as the screen wallpaper.

There is something about Riddhima that makes me crave for her in a way I have never craved for anything before. She has clouded my mind and thoughts ever since I laid my eyes on her.  I guess I can never get bored of seeing her.

God, I'm already missing my little wife. I just want to wrap up my work and return back to India.

"Sir, the clients are here. They are asking for your presence"

My trance broke hearing Alice's voice who was now standing in front of me with a file in her hand. I got up from the office chair and kept my mobile in the pocket.

"Let's Go"

I said before leaving for the meeting which is going to be really a long one.

Riddhima's POV :-

I was reading a book in my room when D'Souza Aunty knocked the door. I kept the book aside and smiled at her as she brought the food trolley and stopped it near the couch.

"Jaao hath-muh dholo. Tabtak mai tumhare liye Khana laga deti hu"

She said taking out the plate and bowls from the trolley.

I got up and walked in the bathroom. Turning on the tap of the sink, I washed my face...

" Mai puchna bhulgyi, Aapne mattress banwaane to daldi haina aunty? Apko to pata hai, purani wali mujhse jalgyi...."

I spoke from inside the bathroom loud enough for D'Souza aunty to hear. I don't like to lie but I had to. Because if I tell her how her dearest Vansh Baba set my mattress on fire last night, she would definitely ask me hundreds of questions which I won't be able to answer.

"Haan. Subah hi daaldi thii... Do chaar din me banjayegi."

I heard her reply. Hanging the towel back in the hook, I walked out of the bathroom.

"Waise Vansh baba ne kuch bataya wo kabtak aarhe hai?"

I stopped in my tracks and turned to look at D'Souza aunty who was now serving the mutter paneer in my plate.

"Woh wapas nahi aaya abtak?"

I asked. He usually leaves for office late and returns early. Then what happened today?

"Kya matlab? Vansh baba aaj hi London se wapis aane wale the kya? Bataya to nahi unhone..."

D'Souza aunty spoke looking at me. London? Did I hear right?

"London?"

I repeated the word knitting my brows.

"Haan. Aaj subah hi to Vansh Baba London ke liye nikalgye the. Tumhe bataya nahi?"

D'Souza Aunty said giving me a mini shock. Vansh went to London. Vansh went back to London. Omg.... I hope I'm not dreaming. Oh God, I just can't believe. Thank you Thank you Thank you Bappa for deporting that devil away from my life.

A smile automatically kissed my lips thinking about getting some extra Vanshless hours, No no not hours. It's  Days this time.... I masked by happiess looking at D'Souza aunty's curious orbs that were watching me suspiciously. That's when I remembered, I have to answer her question.

"Nahi... I mean Bataya hoga. Mai bhul gyi"

I lied for the second time in the day. That devil is making me do something that I hate the most. Please Forgive me Bappa for the lies that I'm feeding to people these days.

I looked at the food plate that aunty was serving to me. Just then I remembered about Ruby.

"Waise Aunty, Aapne Vansh ki Billi Ko kuch khilaya tha? Wo subah se bhuki to nahi haina?"

I asked her. I know D'Souza Aunty takes good care of Ruby. But still I wanted to confirm. I don't like her, but still I'm concerned about her. God.... I guess I'm not Normal....

"Ruby baby galtise bhi bhuki reh jaaye to Vansh Baba pura ghar sir pe utha lenge. Use to sabse pehle khilana padta hai. Aur agar kabhi der hojaye, to wo khud kitchen me ghus ke tod phod kardeti hai"

D'Souza Aunty complained. I giggled remembering how Ruby once broke two bowls in the kitchen just because she was served plain milk and not milk with papayas for the breakfast. Little maniac was searching for papayas in the entire kitchen..

"Badmaash hai"

I said with a smile on my face. Sometimes she is really cute. I want to go near her but then she looks at me with those greyish green eyes of her, and my insides starts shaking with fear. She is just like her master..... Darawani kahi ki.

After D'Souza aunty was done serving food, she moved out of my room. I locked the room from inside and rested my back against the door. A smile broke on my face remembering D'Souza Aunty's words. Vansh went back to London. Though I knew my happiness is short lived as he would return soon, but I was still overjoyed learning about the fact that I won't have to see his face or hear his irritating voice for at least some days. He won't be poking his big fat nose in my life for sometime now. I can at least breath peacefully and have my me time without him roaming around me. Yay.

The mutter panner was tastier today, even the plain daal was so appetizing. I ravished the dinner happily. It has been long since I have eaten like this. Thank you Bappa for sending that devil away. I love you.

After finishing the dinner, I took out my headphone from the cupboard.  Wearing it across my head, I played my favorite song on the mobile.

Sleeping on the couch, I hummed the song and closed my eyes.
.
.
.
Vansh's POV :-

Sitting on the couch with newspaper in my one hand and cup of coffee in another.... Through the transparent glass window, I looked at the clouds turning into a shade of grey in the sky.

Taking a sip of dark coffee, I looked at the wall clock. It's 5:30 pm in London, which means it would be 10 pm in India. What Riddhima must be doing now? No points in guessing that she must be doing her favorite thing.... i.e sleeping. She goes to bed really early. I think we need to bring some major changes in her sleep cycle. Or else, it is going to be difficult for her in coming days to stay awake with me doing all the unimaginably dirty things that any husband & wife would  do in the confine of their bedroom. Late to Bed and Late to Rise.... That's how it should be.

Taking another sip of coffee, I turned the page of newspaper. The one headline that caught my attention was, "Chandra Bagchi - Daughter of  Indian business tycoon Uday Bagchi kidnapped." I closed the newspaper and kept in back on the table.

This is really sad. Our companies has been dealing with Bagchis since last three years now. I hope police is able to trace Mr. Bagchi's granddaughter soon. Picking up my mobile from the table, I opened Bagchi's contact number and texted him to let me know if they need any help.

I pressed the back icon, thats when Riddhima's picture displayed on my mobile screen. Oh yeah, How could I forget that I set it as wallpaper today morning... Damn, I just want to see her face, touch her body, feel her in my arms.... Right now.

"Riddhima, Riddhima, Riddhima.... What's in you that makes me want you more and more with each day? "

I asked looking at her picture while tracing her lips with the thumb of my other hand. Her mere thought makes my throat go dry. My member aches in pain and desperation every time I think about her.

"Mrs. Raisinghania hai hi itni khubsurat. Koi khudko roke bhi to kaise roke?"

I spoke to myself mesmerized by her beauty. More than her beauty, it was the innocence on her face that engraved a place for herself in my mind and heart. Was it real? I often questioned myself. Surrounded by the girls who would literally drop their clothes in front of me just for my attention, I grew up believing that I would get the girl I set my eyes on with the snap of my finger. But Riddhima proved me wrong.

That girl had the audacity to refuse to marry me on my face. Riddhima didn't wanted to be Mrs. RaiSinghania and that's exactly why I made her Mrs. RaiSinghania. God knows what magic she has done on me.... I have literally started breathing her.

Whenever I think about her, the fragnance of jasmine scented products that she uses automatically fills in my nostrils, I donno how. She smells like a baby powder at night, and I can't help myself from inhaling her fragrance.

" Aisa kya karu Riddhima jo tum bhi mujhe usi tarah chaahne lag jaao.. Jaise mai tumhe chahne laga hoon.... Hmm?"

I questioned looking at her picture sadly. She looks at me like I will eat her up. Not even for once, I saw want and desires in those beautiful eyes. Why? I know I screwed up a big time, but I did what I did to keep her close to me. I didn't want her heart to beat for anyone except me. Well what's the point of explaining when I know no one is ever going to understand what I feel for her.
.
.
.

"Get the fuck out of here Samuel. "

Vansh shouted on his 6 feet tall British employee Samuel, who bowed down his head in shame. He did just one mistake of informing Vansh that European clients have called off the deal. He wouldn't have dared to enter in Vansh's arena if he knew he would be bashed right, left and center for breaking the news.

"I'm sorry Sir. We can still try to convince them. I'm sure they would give us another chance"

Samuel dared to say making Vansh fume more. Only if he had worked with Vansh enough, he'd have known that unasked advices and untimely help is something that Vansh is never going to appreciate.

"I don't like to repeat myself......  Out Samuel."

Vansh said in a calm but dangerous tone making Samuel gulp. Wiping his sweat, Samuel nodded his head and left the room. Vansh was in a bad mood today... Like really a bad bad mood. So, he was blasting every random person his eyes fell on.

Reason - Riddhima. It was Vansh's third day in London. He was growing impatient. Three days have passed, and Riddhima haven't contacted him yet. Here, her thoughts were clouding his mind. He couldn't even eat or sleep properly because of her. He was growing restless to see her. But she was merrier than before as informed by Mrs. D'Souza. And this was enraging him more.

"What the fuck is wrong with everyone today. ...I don't understand."

Vansh uttered sitting on his office chair. He was going through the mailbox of his company. Half of the reviews that they received for their water sports equipments were unanswered. Their product was newly launched in the market and thus it was important to note customers reviews and reply them back. But in his absence, his once an efficient team missed the follow up with the agents who bought those sport equipments.

"You, Alice. Get the number of all the agents who purchased water sports equipments from us since its launch. Ask them to contact the customers anyhow and give us a review on our website. I want a print of each and every customers feedback from the agents on my table sharp at 2 pm."

Vansh instructed looking at a blonde young lady Alice, who was terrified hearing him. More than hundred agents must have purchased the products from them. How is she going to trace hundreds of agents.... Even if she did, those agents must have sold the products to God knows how many customers. It is practically impossible to trace each and every customer and get their feedback. And that too before 2 pm.... That means she had only 6 hours in her hands.

"But Sir.... How can I? I mean This is impossible."

Alice sluttered not knowing how to do what she is asked to do. Vansh fumed looking at the horrified expression on her face. This was not the first time he gave such difficult task to her. He have always tested her... Time and time again. And she proved him right everytime.

"That is why I have hired you Alice. Do You know why you are the highest paid employee?... Because you can do what none of them can't. Making impossible into possible is your job. And I know you are pretty good at it."

Vansh said coldly directing his gaze towards Alice who was now spellbound in Vansh's talks. Even in his cold words, she always found motivation. The fact that he trusted her even more than the employee at much higher designation made her chest swell with pride and happiness. She knew she had to do it. Anyhow.....

Nodding her head Alice walked out of his cabin and headed straight to her working desk. Whereas Vansh played with his mobile thinking whether to make a call to his wife or not.

It has been 3 days since he heard the sweet voice of hers. He was dying to talk to her, but what about her? Why wasn't she making any move? If he didn't call her, at least she could have called. Not that he expects her to do romantic talks with him, but as a wife atleast she could have questioned him about his whereabouts given that he came to London without informing her....

Nothing irks more than knowing that all your desperation, desire, longing is One-Sided. And this was what exactly happening with Vansh.

"Tumhare dil ko mere liye dhadhadkne ke liye itna majbur kardunga na mai Riddhima, Ki ek pal bhi mere bina use dhadhakna gawara nahi hoga"

He spoke with a stern face. Winning her heart, was now a challenge for him. He didn't want to be the only one to suffer. If there is  yearning, it has to be from both the sides. The only thing on his mind right now was to make his wife crazy about him....so much that she would not even want to breath in his absence.
.
.
.

Unable to control himself anymore, Vansh unlocked his mobile and was about to dial Riddhima's number. His fingers stopped remembering that he doesn't even have her new contact number. Since they were staying under the same roof, He never felt the need of asking for her mobile number. Vansh RaiSinghania doesn't have contact number of his wife. Wow, interesting.... Very interesting.

Dialing the landline number, he waited for the call to connect. After good two minutes of ringing, the call was answered.

"Hello "

Vansh heard a voice which he recognized as of Mrs. D'Souza.
.
.
.

Penetrating the fork into the chopped watermelon pieces, Riddhima held the bowl closed to her heart while her eyes were glued to the Television screen.

Putting the fork in her mouth, Riddhima took the bite of watermelon piece without averting her eyes from the TV screen.

Taking another bite of the watermelon from the fork, She held the remote and turned off the channel as the leads were about to kiss. She never understood why unnecessary kissing scenes were shown in almost every films.... Isn't kissing a "private" thing? Even if the lead characters are fictional, they deserve to have privacy.

She was done finishing the bowl of chopped watermelons when her mobile started ringing. Keeping the bowl aside, she extended her hand and picked up her mobile from the table.

Unknown number? At this time? Who it could be?

She frowned looking at the mobile that was flashing and then looked at the wall clock. By the time she was to receive, the call disconnected. After a gap of few seconds, Riddhima's mobile started buzzing again.

Reluctantly, she slides the green colour icon up and answered the call.

"Hello....."

She said waiting for the other side to speak...at least something.

After a silent pause of few seconds, she heard her own name.....

"Ridd...dhima"

The caller said in his deep husky voice that literally sent shivers down her spine. The fork from her hand dropped down on its own and fell on her lap.  She clutched the mobile phone tightly as she heard her name again.

"Va.... Vansh"

His name rolled out of her tongue. It was almost a silent whisper, but his sharp ears caught it. His heart fluttered hearing to her after almost three days. He wanted to say something but for some reason, he even liked the silence that was prevailing between them. It allowed him to hear her breathes that were now in rhythm with his heartbeats.

"Sorry. Wrong number ....."

Riddhima said hurriedly and before he knew, the call was cut from her end. Vansh gritted his teeth, and redialled the number. But this time, her cell was switched off.

"Dammit"

Vansh snarled throwing his mobile phone on the table in front of him. Wrong Number.... Oh really. Does she really thinks he will buy this shit. How dare she lie to him?

"What the fuck is this girl's problem? So much attitude.... For what huh?"

He scowled hitting his fist on the glass table in front of him. He just wanted to talk to her for sometime... Was that too much to ask for? She curtly refused him without even bothering to ask what did he call for.... This miffed Vansh to no extent.

He gave her space for three days, didn't poke his nose in her matters, or raised objection for going to college.... Yes, he was aware about her joining the college back... And it was him who ordered Aangre to drop her to college. Just because he is letting her to have her share of freedom, that in no way means she has the liberty to forget him or disrespect him. He can take anything but insults..... Because Vansh RaiSinghania is not used to it.

"We will have to do something about your attitude, Sweetheart"

Vansh had a devilish smirk as he completed the sentence. He definitely doesn't want to keep her under his thumb, but if she is going to give him a hard time then he won't be left with any other option.

After cutting his call, Riddhima threw her mobile on the bed and took deep breathes to calm down herself. She heard his voice after three days... She was literally cursing herself for receiving the call without cross checking the number on true caller.. These three days that she spent without him were the best days of her life. But as always, this time too.... her happiness had shorter life span.

Why did he call her? Riddhima hoped that he didn't call her to inform about his return. To be honest, she was so done with him... She didn't want him to return back to India ever and make her life a living hell. She would have permanently deported him to London, if she could.

"Bhabhi jaldi niche aaiye...... ."

She came out of her trance hearing a loud voice calling her from the other side of the door.....

"Haan aayi"

Riddhima stood up from the couch and picking up her duppatta from the bed, she walked out of the room .

"Here Sir"

The driver waived his hand to draw Vansh's attention. Taking out his sunglasses, Vansh looked at the familiar face of the driver and began to walk in his direction wheeling the trolley bag along.

Vansh followed the driver as they walked out of the airport. He waited in the parking area for the Driver to take out the car from the parking. Keeping his luggage in the dickey, Vansh got inside the car after instructing the driver to drive fast.

So, Finally he is back to India after four long days which literally felt like a torture to him. Everyday the only thing constantly running in his mind was to wrap the work early so that he could go back to his newly wedded wife as soon as possible. It took him four good days in London to clear the mess his office has become in his absence..... He literally made his employees to work their ass off to find the dispatched files, trace the old customers and get the feedback form filled from them. When his work was done, first thing he did was to call Angre and ask him to book the flight tickets.

Now that he is back to India, He wants to reach home as fast as possible so that he could take his sweetheart in his embrace, touch her soft skin, prick his beard on her chubby cheeks and watch her getting flushed. Damn, the thought itself was making him wet. The journey from Indira Gandhi International Airport, Delhi to VR Mansion was of half and hour. But this thirty minutes were pure torture to him. He would have broken all the traffic rules and drive home recklessly if he could. But then, he has an image to maintain.... "Business Tycoon Vansh RaiSinghania challened for violating the traffic rules" won't sound good nah.

The gates of VR mansion opened as the guards saw a familiar car reaching towards them. Saluting their master, the guards closed the door after the car headed inside. When it stopped right front of VR mansion, Vansh got out of the car and dashed into his house.

"Bhaiyaaaa"

Vansh heard a voice as Mrs. D'Souza opened the door. Sia?? His eyebrows frowned in confusion. Did he hear Sia's voice?

His doubt got cleared when Mrs. Dsouza moved aside, thus revealing Sia in the wheelchair whose smile was touching her ears.

"Bhaiyaa...."

She called again opening her arms. Vansh kneeled down in from of his baby sister and hugged her. Though he is used to staying alone, but this time he really missed his family and especially Riddhima and Ruby.

"When did you come? Kiske sath aayi ho?"

Vansh asked softly taking his sister's small hand in his long one. He was pleasantly surprised to see her after almost a week.

"Yesterday. Infact Puri family wapas aagyi hai.."

Sia replied him. He scrunched his nose. Fine, he was missing his family. But why did they return so early. Weren't they suppose to stay in Patiala till maasi's operation.

"Mom se thoda dur rehna. Wo ghusse me hai"

Leaning foreward, Sia whispered in his ears. Now Why is Mom angry?? Though it's not a new thing for him, but still now what wrong did he do? Fear surged through his veins when he realized Riddhima could have possibly told the truth of their marriage. No, no. She doesn't have spine to do something of that sort.

"Tumhari bhabhi Kaha hai? Kahi dikh nahi rahi"

Vansh asked walking inside and sitting on the couch.

"Oh oo oo. Itna miss kiya Riddhima bhabhi ko. To chodke kyu gaye the?"

Sia teased her desperate brother whose hawk eyes were searching for Riddhima.

"Chodke nahi gaya tha. I had a meeting with international clients Sia"

Vansh explained picking up a glass of water from the tray that Mrs. Dsouza was holding in front of him....

"Jo bhi ho. Atleast hume batake jaate. Riddhima Di, I mean Bhabhi isse pehle kabhi gharme akeli nahi rahi hai. Woh dar jati hai Bhaiyya... Uparse unka asthma..."

Sia schooled her brother. Because of Riddhima's acute severe asthma issues, everyone was extremely careful around her. She could have exacerbation at any time. The last one she had three years back was so bad that it landed her in hospital at 3 am in the morning.

When Anupriya got to know that Vansh has left for London and Riddhima is all alone in VR mansion, she made the entire family to pack their bags within thirty minutes.

"Is she fine? Kahi Riddhima ko phirse..."

Vansh got up from the couch and asked Sia. Fear surged inside him remembering the last time he saw her gasping for air that day when she had a panic attack seeing her own menstrual blood. Only he knew how difficult it was for him to calm her down.

"Chillax Bhaiya. Kuch nahi hua hai. Infact bhabhi to Trillium Mall gyi hai Maa and Chachi ke sath shopping karne"

Sia said looking at her worried brother. There was a time when even Riddhima's mention use to irk Vansh but now seeing him getting worried for Riddhima made Sia's heart beam with joy.

Vansh made a mental note of the name of the mall which Sia uttered few seconds ago. He has no patience to wait for his sweetheart to return back, especially after realizing what could have happened to her because of him. Though Sia said Riddhima didn't have exacerbations of Asthma, and she was doing good but Vansh wanted to confirm by himself. His franatic heart wouldn't stop palpating unless he himself goes and check her out.

"I have to go. Office me kuch kaam hai...."

Vansh said walking out of VR mansion leaving a confused Sia behind.

A/N :- I know I'm super late, and most of you are losing interest because of late updates. But just like I understand you, you guys need to understand me.

I have never bashed any of my reader for asking/pestering me for updates or leaving a rude comment about me or my story on my profile. Because I understand your frustration. I was myself a reader few years back, so I know how frustrating it feels to open your wattpad everyday with the hope of getting the update. And I won't say you are wrong in feeling this way. Because its natural. Frustration hota hai. And mujhe bhi hota hai.

But you need to understand my situation as well. I'm a medical intern now. And Mera 9 se 5 wala job nahi hota. A doctor is always on duty. Mai jaati to 8 Ko hu subah but wapas kab aaungi mujhe bhi nhi pata hota. Literally Subah 8 se raatko 10 tak bhi hospital me ruki hu mai last week. I don't even get lunch break mahn. Jab kaam nhi hota tab bhaagke khaana khake aaya padta. Wapas aane ke baad literally puri body pain karti hai. Do you really think after working from 8 am to 10 pm I will have strength in me to write down an update? Mai sidha aake sojati hun.

Mai andaaze se boldeti hum ki updating in two days. But you tell me mujhe kaise pata hoga next two days me mujhe time milega ya nahi. Patients hospital me mujhe puchke thodi aate hai. When I don't update in two days, I get messages like "you are lier" "you always lie about updates".

My priority is my profession, my passion. I'll always prioritize it over any book. So, those who think I'm unprofessional... Let me tell you, Writing is not my profession, medicine is.

I'm not saying don't ask me for updates. Please ask. Because if you won't ask, I won't feel like writing. Reminding me of updates is your job. But no rude comments please.

Anyways, won't ask how was the update because I know how it is. Agar 21 din ek hi chapter likhungi to yahi hoga. Mai mentally n physically itni exhausted hu Ki my mind has stopped working.

Next update Soon. Within one or two week. Won't be taking a month this time.
