In advance of dreams I drift
If any instance of hopes exist
to stir my simple soul within
and then my heart there enlist
For carefully abandoned
on shores of moonlight rising
Reality has handed
control to night abiding
Now dear spirit hear my plea
Take flight; alight beyond the trees
Allow for wonder under the spell
to turn a plunder and quite well
Steal from rest these treasured themes
A secret held in mystery
Whisper of your worlds unseen
Your grand and scary fantasies
For now my journey at last begins
as my mind itself gives in
Come now my better and second life
Let go the toils of daily strife
Walk the lantern-lit lattice path
through the woods of half and half
As this place fades and that one grows
and all I forgot, my spirit now knows
Greet me again my glorious other side
Open this universe here quite wide
and I shall stay so long as I can
