"Please take this up and obtain the verification seal." The receptionist spoke to Kidou.

Ilie inquired about Jin and was quickly explained the situation. Kidou was going to go upstairs in this office building to discuss the situation at hand. You would come up with him in order to give your side of the story, translated by him. She was told to stay put on the bottom floor here; there were plenty of comfortable places to sit and relax after the walk. Neither of you believed that she would do just that, but it was said nevertheless.

Try not to add anything to what I say. I want to get this over with quickly and I'd rather they assume you don't know much.

Kidou...

He paused on the stairs to face you. The way you slowly used his name sign meant you wanted his full attention.

Where will we be staying?

In a hotel. He answered quickly with his eyebrow quirked up. Why do you ask?

I guess I meant... who is staying with whom?

"Oh..." He said out loud, nodding his head, understanding. Then, his eyes got wide and he said, "OH!"  I don't know if I had thought of that... But if I have any say, do you want--

To stay with you. Alone, with you. Please. You eyes were vulnerable, looking right into his very soul. I think we're old enough to maybe--

Kidou's head turned away and as yours followed, you say a very impatient looking person waving you both along. Quickly, you both took seats across from a cluttered table. You watched the man's lips speak as Kidou spoke and signed, a delight for you. The man explained why they were there and Kidou explained why he was with you and not being interviewed separately.

"Once the symptoms of Cagaster begin to manifest, it takes about twenty minutes before the infected loses his sanity and transforms fully. And, as the extermination law states 'once wings are verified on the back of an infected individual, that individual is relieved of all basic human rights'... So, is this not a simple case of you being attacked by the infected but unable to exterminate the attacker?"

You could feel Kidou's groan emanate from his body. "If that were the case, E-05 would be a warzone right now. Or wiped out completely."

"I see... before we begin the interview in earnest," This earned a groan from you, "We would like to fully understand your point of view..."

And it went on, and on, and on. And then it went on some more because it was your turn. Luckily, your interview was much quicker, having followed Kidou's advice. And before you knew it, you were being gently tugged back down the stairs and over to the receptionist as Kidou asked where Ilie had gone.

In a flash, you were both behind the girl in the garden. "I told you not to move. Didn't I?" Kidou was highly irritated, but you could only laugh at the girl's frightened face, knowing there would be little consequence. "If you wander around again, I'll seriously leave you here!! Remember that!"
