"Welc-- Oh." Mario turned to look at the man who had just walked in. "That was fast. Weren't you called by the military?"

"I have to get back there for something soon. Give me something quick. Something with meat." Kidou remarked shortly.

"We-Welcome back..." Ilie stood in front of him meekly.

"WAITRESS! Get me my food! MEAT!!" Kidou shouted with a growl at her.

Ilie scurried away quickly, "Yes! Yes! Right away!"

With a roll of their eyes, Mario turned back to Kidou for conversation. "So, how was your investigation? Was it an insect?"

"No..." Kidou's eyes looked troubled. "It definitely didn't have anything to do with Cagaster infection. The dead bodies were like meatballs. But if they were killed by insects they would be shredded meat. For even less. It was probably done by some cannibal or a madman. The dead body had a bite mark on it but it was pretty small..."

"Okay!" Mario and the others felt the discomfort in the air. "That's enough! We get it!" But it was too late and the bar had practically cleared out to their dismay.

"Here you go!" Ilie cheered. "Lamb and herb pie! Wait... where did everyone go?..."

"Now is just as good as a time as ever. Come with me, Ilie-chan and let Kidou-kun here eat!" Mario began walking upstairs. "This is your room, starting from today!" They showed Ilie a crowded room. "Sorry, we've been using it for a storage room, so we'll have to clean it up a bit first. It's all things we don't really use anymore."

"Even these?" Ilie pointed to a box with books.

"Oh, those books over there? Probably best to keep those. If you like, you can read them."

Ilie picked up a book and looked at the title. "Wow, these books are really big. I didn't know that you were such a bookworm..."

"Oh, please! They're not mine, they're Kidou's."

"Really?!"

"About the only thing he does on his days off when he's here is read. And they're all boring books like those..."

"Agriculture and the theory of relativity... This seems really boring..." Ilie looked at the rest of the books. "Oh, hey... There's a video in here."

"Ooooo, that must be Kidou's porn stash! Let's see what he's into!!!" Mario squealed with excitement and grabbed the video. They quickly walked out the room with Ilie closely behind them. "I hope he's left because he'll have my head if he catches us!"

"Maybe we shouldn't..." Ilie squirmed in her shoes. She definitely didn't want to see what was on this hidden tape, but a part of her figured it would be for the best.

"Too late!" Mario popped the tape in turned the old-style television on.

A younger Kidou's hands moved around quickly on the screen and soon the camera was shakily passed to him. When he straightened the camera out, a woman around his age showed up on the screen. Her hands also flew around at an astonishing speed as she motioned for Kidou to follow her.

As they ran in silence, Ilie looked over to see Mario taken aback. Suddenly, the girl jumped over a small cliff and into a large pond. A garbled laugh was heard as she resurfaced, followed by what had to be Kidou's laugh.
